Root for Earth

The Goddard School Root for Earth campaign serves to plant seeds of change in children, families and communities to create a healthier, happier earth for generations to come. Root for Earth will take place in Goddard Schools throughout the country from Monday, April 16 through Friday, April 20.

TOGETHER, WE ARE SAVING MORE THAN 3.4 MILLION WATTS OF ENERGYFashion Show
On Friday, April 20 at 10:00 AM in each time zone, Goddard Schools will go dark by turning off all non-essential lighting for one hour. This signature initiative will save more than 3.4 million watts of energy!

 

UPCYCLING CHALLENGE
Children and teachers will stretch their imaginations and use recycled materials to create something entirely new through our Upcycling Challenge. For more information, and to vote for your favorite creation, visit the official Goddard School Facebook page from Monday, May 14 at 4:00 PM EST through Friday, May 18 at 4:00 PM EST. The winner will be announced on Monday, May 21.

 

RECYCLED RUNWAY FASHION SHOWWorm Boy
At many Goddard Schools throughout the country, preschoolers will be creating their very own clothing using recycled materials. The children will showcase their finest ‘recycle-wear’ for their families and the community during a runway fashion show, held at each Goddard School location.
