Root for Earth

The U.S. generates more than 15 million tons of used textile waste each year. Together, we can make a difference to help reduce the volume.

Worm Boy

Eighty-five percent of used textiles in the U.S. still go to national landfills, and only fifteen percent are recycled. Through small changes and creativity, we can cut back on the waste created by discarded clothing. We’re committed to teaching children about their effects on the world.

MAKING RECYCLING FASHIONABLE

Preschoolers are learning about the benefits of recycling and using tools to empower families to make a difference. The students are taking part in activities and projects that focus on fun ways they can repurpose unwanted clothing.

PUTTING ON A RECYCLED RUNWAY FASHION SHOW

At Goddard Schools throughout the country, preschoolers will be

Fashion Showcreating their own clothing using  recycled materials. The children will showcase their finest recycle-wear for their families and the community during a runway fashion show.
