Mehul, Owner Mehul is the proud owner of The Goddard School® located in Durham. Mehul, his wife Kruti and their son have been Triangle residents since 2001. Mehul runs the school with integrity, sincerity and a genuine concern for the children under his care. His goal is to provide a strong foundation for our children, and is thrilled to be a part of the Durham community. Mehul has a Master’s degree in Computer Science and worked as a senior software developer for more than 12 years. He welcomes you to the School, and thanks you for being a member of the Goddard family!


Mrs Laura, Director Ms. Laura is excited and proud to be the Educational Director of The Goddard School located in Durham! She graduated with an Elementary Education degree from Wheaton College in Illinois with a minor in Mathematics. She worked as a middle school Math and Science teacher before starting her career in the Early Childhood field as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher and administrator. After relocating to North Carolina in 2007, she went back to school to obtain her North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials 1 and 2 along with her Level 3 Administrative Credentials. Laura is passionate about providing an early childhood environment where children and their families are comfortable and safe, as well as receive a quality early education. Laura is dedicated to providing this to each child and family attending The Goddard School!

Ms Marlo, Director Co-Director

Ms. Marlo is excited to be the Co-Director at The Goddard School located in Durham, NC. As a North Carolina native, she received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a focus in Child Development from Wake Forest University and her Master's Degree in Public Administration from North Carolina Central University as well as her Level 3 NC Administrative Credentials. She started her experience in this field as a two year old teacher right out of college and moved into administrative duties quickly. With over 25 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, Ms. Marlo believes in partnering with families to ensure their children receive safe, developmentally sound care and instruction. She envisions a world in which every infant, toddler, and child receive the opportunity to prepare for a life in a safe, warm, nurturing environment with adults who are committed to the field of quality Early Childhood Education.

Ms Angela, Lead Teacher Infants - Kicking Kangaroos

Ms. Angie has been a part of our family since we opened in 2010! She is originally from Cynthiana, Kentucky. She is passionate about spoiling each baby in the Kicking Kangaroo classroom. She has over 20 years experience working with children in their early childhood years and holds her North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials and Professional Nanny Certificate. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her four children, traveling, and trying new foods.

Brianna, Lead Teacher Infant - Kicking Kangaroos

Ms. Brianna is originally from Richmond, VA and moved to Durham, NC in 2014 to pursue a degree in Child Development and Family Relations from North Carolina Central University. Ms. Brianna has experience with children from 6 weeks to 10 years of age. She became a teacher because she wants to impact the lives of children in a positive way. In her free time, Ms. Brianna enjoys spending time with her daughter, reading, watching movies, and babysitting.


Ms Bianca, Lead Teacher First Steps - Kind Koalas

Ms. Bianca is so excited to be a part of The Goddard Team. She has been working in child care for over ten years and has loved every moment. She has an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and as well as an Early Care and Education Degree from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. She has always had a passion for children and it definitely shows in her career choice. A couple of interesting facts about her: she has five older brothers and is the youngest and the only girl. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Melo.

Ms Zazmyne, Lead Teacher First Steps - Kind Koalas

Ms. Zazmyne is originally from Durham, NC, and she is a single mom with two sons. She has experience working with toddlers and preschoolers and is continuing her education to learn more about Early Childhood at Durham Tech. She finds it very rewarding to be a teacher and enjoys helping the children be successful at potty training!

Ms Ebonie, Lead Teacher Young Toddler - Playful Pandas

Ms. Ebonie is originally from Williamston, NC and is currently pursing her Degree in Early Childhood Education from Durham Technical Community College. She joined The Goddard School in 2020 because she enjoys teaching and learning from the students. Ms. Ebonie also loves reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Ms Jenae, Lead Teacher Young Toddlers - Playful Pandas

Ms. Jenae has been at The Goddard School since 2018 and is big kid at heart with a passion for helping children grow and develop in a fun-loving environment. She takes pride in providing happy, healthy memories and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children. She has an Associate Degree in Child Psychology and Child Advocacy from Passaic County Community College in New Jersey and completed her Bachelor's Degree from North Carolina Central University.

Ms Brandyn, Lead Teacher Toddler - Eager Elephants

Ms. Brandyn is from Durham, NC, and has always been fascinated with young children for as long as she can remember! She started working with children in 2010 in both church and family settings. She has taken classes in Early Childhood Education at North Carolina Central University and is aspiring to complete her degree in Early Childhood Education at North Carolina Central University very soon. Ms. Brandyn has an awesome son named Caleb who is the light of her life, and a big motivator for her. In her downtime, she enjoys reading, playing with her son, and eating good food. She wants to be able to bring joy and happiness to young children, and is greatly looking forward to be able to provide a nurturing environment for all of the families here at The Goddard School. In her free time, Ms. Brandyn enjoys volunteering her doula services to expectant mothers and families in the community.

Allison, Lead Teacher Get Set - Perky Penguins

Ms. Allie is excited to bring her experience with children to The Goddard School. She has been working in childcare since 2008 in many capacities. She is also a huge wellness and art fund. She also loves trying new things and meeting new people. Ms. Allie's glass is always half full.

Ms. Audrey has been working at The Goddard School located in Durham, NC since 2019. She graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development. She was an educational nanny for 7 years when she decided that she wanted to change her career to work as a teacher in an Early Childhood Center. She loves seeing children learn and explore the world around them.

Ms Valencia, Lead Teacher Pre-Kindergarten 1 - Brave Bears

Ms. Valencia is originally from Brandywine, Maryland; she moved to Durham in 2009 to attend North Carolina Central University. She has a Bachelors Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, with a concentration in Child Development and Family Relations. She has been working with children for several years in a public school environment, and loves the fun and rewarding experiences she has with all of her Goddard children and families. She is always excited to see the children advance throughout the school, and she looks forward to the many opportunities she will have to contribute to their growth.

Ms. Alasia is from Willow Spring, NC and is currently pursuing her degree from North Carolina Central University. She joined The Goddard School in 2020 because she enjoys learning alongside children. She also loves being able to watch the students develop and grow.

Ms Ranaizah, Assistant Teacher Pre-Kindergarten - Lively Lions

Ms. Ranaizah was born in Boston, MA. She graduated from Norfolk State University with a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology. She became a teacher because she loves seeing students learn new things. She also likes helping students reach their full educational and personal milestones. In Ms. Ranaizah's free time, she enjoys sunflowers, music, rainy days, and candles.

Ms Lashima, Resource FLEX Teacher

Ms. Lashima has been in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 20 years. During those years, she has had the pleasure of being a toddler teacher, an infant teacher, and a three year old teacher. She currently holds her North Carolina Early Childhood Credential, as well as dual Bachelor degrees in Political Science and History, with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She is happy to be a part of the Goddard Family as a FLEX Teacher and looks forward to working with all of the children in the School.

Ms. Quwamee is originally from Charleston, SC. She is currently attending North Carolina Central University and studying Elementary Education. She has worked with students since 2018 and is excited to learn about Early Childhood Education and the families at The Goddard School.
