Cholan, Owner Cholan received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras, a master’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Ohio University and an MBA from the University of Portland. Most recently, he has held senior executive positions at various technology firms in the Portland metro area. “I am excited and proud to be a part of The Goddard School and am committed to providing the highest quality preschool experience for the children in the neighborhood,” says Cholan.


Angie, Director Angie has been working in Early Childhood Education since 1997. She has worked in many different facility dynamics. Angie has a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development from Warner Pacific College and is currently working toward her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership through Grand Canyon University. She has experience working with children of all ages in the classroom setting and enjoys watching the children as they make discoveries through play each day. Angie has been working in management as a center director since 2014. She is very excited to be part of the Goddard family and now to be part of yours.


Tara, Director Tara is our Assistant Director and helps with training and supporting our teachers. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development. Tara started working with families and infants in 2014. She worked as a parent educator for a program in Missouri helping children and their parents with educational support at home. Tara found that she really enjoyed working with families of infants, watching them grow and develop so quickly and knew that she wanted to be part of helping them grow and develop some of their untapped potential at such an early age. Tara and her family moved to the Pacific Northwest a little over a year and has fallen in love with it! She enjoys spending time hiking the gorge, visiting the Coast, and cheering on the Blazers. Tara is very happy to be here with us at Goddard and can't wait to meet and grow with your children.


Briceyda, Lead Teacher Briceyda is currently going to Arizona State University to get her Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education as well as working to get her Child Development Associate credential. She is very passionate about children. They are her happy place. Briceyda volunteered at Hacienda CDC homework club where she interacted with children of all ages preparing them for school. She is also in charge of kids studies at her local church and she loves it. She started her career working with kids as a teacher assistant and soon after that, became a lead teacher. Young children are eager to learn and grow and she likes being able to contribute to their growth as well as establish that bond between student and teacher! Outside of work, Briceyda loves being outdoors, going on walks with her dog and cooking. She is so happy in this new journey with The Goddard School.


Jasmin , Lead Teacher Jasmin has been involved with teaching since High School. Her sophomore and Junior year in high school, Jasmin was an Outdoor School Counselor at Sandy Creek. She enjoyed her time there building connections with children. Jasmin attended Chemeketa Community College for two years and received her Associates in General Studies. She spends a lot of time outside of work with her family, nieces and nephews, hiking, and working on getting her CDA. Jasmin is excited to be a part of the Goddard Team and is looking forward to spreading her wings even more as a lead teacher.


Dalila, Lead Teacher Dalila has been interested in working with children her entire life. She took a few early childhood education classes throughout high school. After graduating, she started her journey. She is planning to attain her Child Development Associates degree. Dalila comes from a big family, and loves to spend time with her little nephews. Other than being their aunt, she is honored and thrilled to also be able to be a part of their early education. She enjoys all outdoor activities, traveling, trying new hobbies, and eating lots of delicious food. Dalila likes to make people laugh and make the best of each day. She is excited to be working at the Goddard School and getting to know all the students and families.

Jennifer, Lead Teacher Jenny recently graduated from Western Washington University. She earned a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Mathematics as well as a minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Throughout college, she worked in an early childhood education center where she fell in love with working with preschoolers. She admires the passion and energy they bring to their learning, and Jenny enjoys fostering children’s natural curiosity to help them learn. As someone fairly new to Portland, Jenny loves to explore her new home and is always looking for recommendations. She is so excited to be joining the Goddard family.


Adrianna, Lead Teacher Adrianna has been working in early childhood education since 1993. She has worked with all ages from Infants to School age. She has also worked in Kindergarten and 3rd grade classrooms. She has always enjoyed working with children. Adrianna is currently working on getting her Child Development Accreditation. Watching kids' knowledge grow through play and exploration has been a highlight of her career. Adrianna is a native Oregonian and enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hanging out at the beach, hiking and playing with her 3 dogs. She is very excited to join our team and continue her career here at The Goddard School


Caitlynn, Lead Teacher Caitlynn has worked and studied Early Childhood education for eight years. In high school she took an early childhood education college course studying teaching theories and early childhood development. Along side studying she worked in a local childcare facility on campus for hands on training. She graduated from high school with a focus in Early Childhood Development. Caitlynn found passion in the field, working with wonderful children. She continues her education working towards more credentials and certificates. "My goal as a childhood educator is to create a safe, fun and loving educational experience for every child in my class. I absolutely adore my job and my role in a classroom setting."


Ruby, Lead Teacher Ruby graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies from Portland State University in 2017. During her time at PSU she was a student teacher in a Child Development Center. Ruby has been a volunteer with Volunteers of America Child Relief Nursery and enjoys working with children of all ages. Ruby has a very compassionate heart and loves spending time with the children on their level and working with them side by side in discovering new things each day. Ruby is our Pre-Toddler teacher and loves her time with these little treasures.


Diane, Lead Teacher Diane has been working in Early Childhood Education since 1999. In high school, Diane took Early Childhood courses and this is where she found a love of working with young children. She has worked with children from Infants to School Age. Diane has worked in management, as a Center Director from 2013-2020 and has recently transitioned back into a teaching role. Diane enjoys watching children thrive in the classroom. She believes setting a child up for success includes, a firm foundation of boundaries, routines, positive guidance, and love. Outside of work, Diane and her family enjoy camping, road trips and spending time together outdoors. She is excited to start this new journey with The Goddard School and looks forward to working with you and your child.
