Overview

The Goddard School® in Plymouth Meeting is currently seeking reliable, experienced, and energetic Teaching Assistants for our NEW Plymouth Meeting, PA location. Prospects will be selected based on their ability to engage children up to five years of age in a safe, nurturing and loving manner. Both part time and full time applicants will be considered.

Job Responsibilities

Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
Assist in the implementation weekly lesson plans based on Goddard’s Developmental Guidelines and School exploration topics
Keep all electronic communication with parents and Director up to date at all times
Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence while supporting each child’s social and emotional development and individual needs
Establish positive and effective family relations through interactive parent communication
Appropriate and professional communication with fellow faculty members and management, cultivating a healthy and functional working environment that fosters teamwork
Participate in regular staff meetings and training sessions
Ensure compliance with Goddard’s Industry leading Quality Assurance standards
Job Requirements

All candidates who wish to be considered must meet the following criteria:

Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Psychology or related field OR proof of current enrollment in a Bachelors Associates or CDA Credentialing Program
Prior classroom experience at a childcare center or preschool
Strong work ethic and communication skills
Positive attitude and inherent love for young children
Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
