Kavita, Owner Kavita is the owner of the Goddard School of Newtown Square. She has a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Loyola University, Maryland. Additionally, she has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Audit from the University of Mumbai. Kavita has worked as a teacher and as the Director of Education for the past 10 years. Kavita believes the role of an educator is to prepare children to join the larger community as confident, joyful learners and peace-oriented citizens of the world.


Jane, Director Jane is excited to join The Goddard School of Newtown Square. She has a Bachelors of Science in elementary education and has been working in the field early childhood education for the past 36 years, most of which have been in management. Jane believes in creating a warm and welcoming environment where children can learn through play and self discovery. Jane has 2 adult children and one grandchild. Jane lives in Ashton, PA with her husband and 3 dogs.


Miss Lisa , Assistant Director Lisa is the Director of Education at The Goddard School of Newtown Square. Lisa holds a certificate in Elementary Education and a Masters in Instruction from Drexel University. She has more than 15 years of experience in education, management and consulting. Lisa resides in Havertown, PA and she has three children.

Miss Nadiyah, Lead Teacher Ms. Nadiyah is our Lead Teacher in our Infant Room. Nadiyah has a Child Development Associate's degree and over 12 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. Nadiyah enjoys working with children and loves singing and laughing with them. Nadiyah lives in Landsdowne, PA with her husband and 3 children.

Miss Rashmi, Lead Teacher Miss Rashmi is our Lead Teacher in the First Step Classroom. She is originally from India. Miss Rashmi has her Child Development Associate’s degree specializing in Infant/Toddler age group. She really enjoys working with children. She believes that every child is special, beautiful and a most precious gift. Miss Rashmi enjoys teaching children and helping them reach all their developmental milestones.

Miss Katelyn, Lead Teacher Miss Kate is a co-teacher in our Young Toddlers Classroom. She has been teaching in the field of Early Childhood Education for over six years. She has her Child Development Associate’s degree and is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with a Special Education Certificate at Neumann University. Kate enjoys playing softball and basketball. She has been a youth softball coach as well. In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Dineisha, Lead Teacher Neisha is the Lead Teacher in the Toddler classroom. She is currently achieving her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. She values all of your thoughts, concerns and ideas.Teaching is her passion. She has been working with children for over 5 years and each year gets better. In her free time, Neisha enjoys styling hair, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Miss Alexandra, Lead Teacher Miss Alex is our co-teacher in the Young Toddler Classroom and is very excited to be a part of The Goddard School team. She has been working with children for nearly 6 years. Miss Alex is currently majoring in Early Childhood Education at Neumann University. Miss Alex enjoys sports, she played basketball in high school and college. She is also a head coach for a youth basketball team. Miss Alex spends her free time with family and friends.

Miss Ritika, Lead Teacher Ms. Ritika moved to the U.S. about 4 years ago. Prior to moving here, Ritika worked with preschool aged children at a Montessori School in New Delhi, India. Ritika has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Delhi University. After moving to the U.S., Ritika obtained her Child Development Associates Degree and started working with the toddler age group. Ritika believes the key role of an early childhood educator is to foster independence and love of learning. Ritika loves the innocence of her little students and the unconditional love she gets from them each day.

Miss Samantha, Lead Teacher Miss Sam is our Lead Teacher in the Preschool 1 Classroom. She has her Bachelor’s in Fine Art Education from Moore College. Miss Sam has created with and cared for children from infants to pre-teens for over seven years. She has worked in childcare, school, and museum settings. Miss Sam loves working with children and helping them grow. She lives in Havertown with her husband and two cats.

Miss Colleen, Lead Teacher Miss Colleen has over twenty years experience working with children. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Neumann University. She spent five years teaching third grade and another three years teaching second grade. After taking time off to be a stay at home mom, Miss Colleen went back into the school environment to work with special needs children. Miss Colleen enjoys teaching and loves working with her class at the Goddard School. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach and loves everything Disney related. Miss Colleen lives with her husband and three children in Newtown Square.

Miss Erika, Lead Teacher Miss Erika has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Elizabethtown College. She has over four years of experience working with preschool aged children. She loves spending her free time outdoors and staying active. Miss Erika enjoys watching sports and especially enjoys coaching and playing basketball. She played in college. She spends time with her family and friends and if there is an animal involved that is even better. Erika is a huge Philadelphia Sixers fan. She is beyond excited to start this next journey here at The Goddard School and to watch these children learn and grow.

Miss Jane, Assistant Teacher Miss Jane believes children are the most precious treasures in the world. She came to the United States from Brazil in 2013 to help care for her grandchildren, Leo and Bianca. Miss Jane also has 3 grandchildren in Brazil. Miss Jane has her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Portuguese from the University of Brazil. Miss Jane has been caring and teaching for children of all ages from Infancy through High School. Miss Jane is happy to work with The Goddard School and has so much love for the Infants in her care. Miss Jane lives in Newtown Square with her husband and grandchildren close by.

Karin, Assistant Teacher Ms Karin moved to the United States 16 years ago from Sweden. She has been working with infants to kindergarten age for over 15 years and loved every minute of it. During the summer time she coaches swimming at Riddlewood swim club. On her time off, she loves spending time with her husband, two children and cats. She enjoys taking care of her honey bees, making soap and other crafts.


Kaitlynn , Assistant Teacher Miss Kait has worked with children in different environments for more than 10 years. Kait has past childcare experience as well as swim instructor experience. Kait has been teaching children to swim for 10 years. She also coached competitive swimming for 6 years. Kait has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with a focus in Pre-Occupational Therapy from West Chester University. Recently, Kait has decided against Occupational Therapy as she wants to work more closely with children. Kait plans to further her studies and obtain her Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology and plans to work in an early intervention setting. In her free time, Kait enjoys exercising and spending time with her friends and family.


Miss Barbara, Assistant Teacher Miss Barbara was born in Poland. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Education and also holds a Master's of Liberal Arts (Literature) from Warsaw University, which she graduated in 2007. After graduation she was busy with her career in media/publishing companies and later with raising her children - Magdalena (7) and Adam (5). In 2017, Miss Barbara and her family moved from Poland to Newtown Square. Since arriving in the US, Miss Barbara has been teaching Polish Language lessons in Philadelphia and working as an Assistant Teacher at The Goddard School. In her free time Miss Barbara and her family love spending time sightseeing this beautiful country. She also enjoys baking, cooking traditional Polish foods and reading.

Yasmeen, Assistant Teacher Yasmeen is excited to join The Goddard School. She believes that each child is unique and special in their own way and her teaching should meet the needs of each individual child. She lives with her son in Upper Darby, PA. During her free time, Yasmeen enjoys playing with her son.

Miss Rosetta, Assistant Teacher Miss Rosetta is the assistant teacher in the Preschool II classroom. She has over twelve years of experience working with children between the ages of two and six years old. Miss Rosetta loves every moment of teaching. She has a great passion to teach and enjoys the opportunity to watch children grow and flourish. Miss Rosetta was born and raised in Italy. She lives in West Chester and treasures spending time with her family and friends.

Miss Jayda, Assistant Teacher Miss Jayda is a Resource Teacher at The Goddard School and can be found helping in all the classrooms. She has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education for the last 12 years. Working with children has been a joy for Miss Jayda as she loves making a difference in each child’s life. Miss Jayda is currently working on her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Delaware County Community College. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Danalynn, Assistant Teacher Miss Dana is the Assistant Teacher in our Pre K 2 classroom. Miss Dana chose the Goddard School for its high-quality care and educational programs for children. Miss Dana has been working with children for the last 10 years. Miss Dana is also certified to work with children who having learning differences. Miss Dana is married and is a mother to 4 wonderful children. Miss Dana looks forward to teaching your wonderful children all that she knows.


Miss Erin , Resource Miss Erin is thrilled to join the Goddard team. She has worked in the childcare field for nearly two years. Miss Erin graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from Neumann University and will be pursuing a Masters degree in special education. In her free time, Miss Erin enjoys reading and playing music. She has a passion for childcare and is very excited to help your children learn and grow!
