Janae, Assistant Teacher Hello,
My name is Janae. I am new to the Goddard team, I started here just after the Christmas break. I have always had a passion for teaching. I knew I wanted to teach from a young age, when I would make my siblings play school in the summer. I have been in an educational setting since I was in high school, when I interned for a year in a childcare center. After graduating, I became a nanny. I worked with that family for six months, then they unfortunately moved. I then met a daycare owner who would eventually become a lifelong friend. For two years I worked at a small daycare that truly felt like home. I still have great relationships with the families I worked with. I went on to work at a KinderCare in Philadelphia for a few months. Where I met some wonderful teachers and families. The position I have just come from was at the Abington YMCA, where I was a co-teacher in a two- year old classroom. I was there for just over a year. I have attended many trainings throughout the five years I have been teaching and I plan to continue my education in the near future. In my free time I enjoy watching sports, hanging out with my siblings and friends and visiting my family in Florida.
