Keep infants younger than 6 months in the shade as much as possible.
Dress infants younger than 6 months in lightweight long sleeve shirts, pants and a brimmed hat.
For children older than 6 months, apply water-resistant sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 that protects against UVA and UVB rays. Remember to reapply!
Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun when it’s strongest — between 10 AM and 4 PM — when possible.
