Jerry and Misty, Owners Mr. Jerry and Ms. Misty are the on-site owners for The Goddard School located off of Western Avenue in Edmond, Oklahoma. They currently reside in Edmond with their 2 children, Caeden and Avery.

Ms. Misty attended the University of Oklahoma where she studied Child Development and Early Childhood Education and Administration. She is actively involved in the local community and believes it is important that we not only prepare our students for academic success but also teach them about community involvement and service to others. Ms. Misty has served as a consultant for a variety of childcare programs around the metro and is an active member of numerous childcare associations including, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA), Early Childhood Association of Oklahoma (ECAO), the Oklahoma Child Care Association (OCCA), Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI) and the National Association of Child Care Professionals (NACCP).

Mr. Jerry attended Drake University in Iowa where he studied Engineering. He joined Ms. Misty at The Goddard School full time in 2018. Mr. Jerry previously worked at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center for 24 years where he served as the Chief of Construction. He loves working at Goddard and enjoys meeting families and seeing the joy on the children's faces as they master new skills and make new friends.

Andrea, Director Ms. Andrea joined our team in February of 2015 and is the Director of Operations. She studied Child Development and received a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Central Oklahoma. Andrea has been working in the early childhood education field since 2004. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Michael and son Carson. They can often be found traveling, going to the park, and swimming. Her favorite thing about working at The Goddard School is the relationships that she builds with the families and she is passionate about providing them with high quality childcare.

Donny, Director Mr. Donny joined our team in May of 2013 and is the Compliance and School Age Program Director. He received a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Oklahoma Christian University and has been teaching children since 2005. In his spare time, Donny enjoys acting, stand-up comedy, and performing improv. He says his favorite children's book is "Yes Day!" by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and his favorite thing about working with children is that while he thinks he's teaching the children, they are actually teaching him.

Makayla, Director Ms. Makayla joined our team in 2015 and is our Education Director. She received an Associates Degree in Early Care Education Administration from Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City and has over 6 years of experience in the early childhood education field. In her spare time, Ms. Makayla can often be found spending time with her dog Tonka, and her husband Levi, taking road trips and camping. She is passionate about creating learning environments that allow children to develop their independence through self-help skills. Ms. Makayla's favorite thing about The Goddard School is the F.L.E.X. (Fun Learning Experience) curriculum.

Kayla , Assistant Director Ms. Kayla is an Assistant Director for our Education team. She is currently attending Oklahoma City Community College for her associates in Organizational Leadership and has been teaching children since 2010. Ms. Kayla enjoys spending time with her daughter Layla in her spare time. They enjoy reading books together, and their favorite place to go is the science museum. Ms. Kayla's favorite children's book is "Llama Llama Misses Mama" by Anna Dewdney and her favorite thing about teaching is watching the children grow and learn.

Kendall, Assistant Director Ms. Kendall joined our team in 2019 and is one of our Assistant Education Directors. She is currently completing classes to receive her Child Development Associates and has over 8 years of experience in early childhood education. In her spare time, Ms. Kendall enjoys spending time with her 3 children and watching movies.

Melissa, Assistant Director Ms. Melissa joined our team in 2007 and is our Assistant Director. She obtained a Bachelor's in Museum Studies and has over 15 years of experience in early childhood education. Ms. Melissa enjoys spending her spare time with her husband Robby and three children Makenna, Renae, and Chase. They can often be found traveling around the state looking for new exciting activities. Ms. Melissa's favorite children's book is "The Sneetches" by Dr. Seuss and her favorite thing about teaching is being able to help children grow and making a positive, lasting impression on the students.

Shannon, Assistant Director Ms. Shannon joined our team in June of 2017 and is one of our Assistant Directors. She comes to us with over 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and has received an Associates degree in Child Development. Ms. Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband Scott and two children, Stevee and SJ in her spare time. She can often be found hosting cookouts, shopping, or maintaining an active lifestyle. Ms. Shannon's favorite children's book is "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak and says that her favorite thing about teaching is watching her student's minds open to the world around them and filling their cups with love, respect, and acceptance.

Renee, Lead Teacher Ms. Renee joined our team in February of 2015 and is a Lead Teacher for our Infant Program. She received a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Home Economics with a minor in Business Administration. She has been teaching children since 2005 and has worked for Edmond Public Schools. Ms. Renee enjoys spending time with her friends and two children, Lauren and Lane. She can often be found attending her children's sporting events, reading, and shopping. Ms. Renee says her favorite children's book is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle and says her favorite thing about teaching is interacting and having fun with the students.

Jennifer, Lead Teacher Ms. Jennifer joined our team in February of 2015 and is a Lead Teacher for our Infant program. She has received a Bachelor's degree in General Studies from the University of Central Oklahoma and was our August 2016 Teacher of the Month. In her spare time, Ms. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her spouse and their two children, Mable and Dillon. Some of their pastimes include swimming, being outside, and maintaining an active lifestyle. Her favorite children's book is "Oh The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss and says her favorite thing about working with children is being able to assist in their development and watching them grow. She is full of enthusiasm for developmentally appropriate practice and creating a positive learning environment.

Randi, Lead Teacher Ms. Randi joined our team in 2019 and is a Lead Teacher in our Infant Program. She has over 10 years of experience in child development and is excited to start her career at Goddard. In her spare time, Ms. Randi enjoys crafting, reading and spending time with her family. Ms. Randi's favorite children's book is "Oh, the Places You'll Go" and her favorite thing about working with children is their smiling faces and their hugs!

Carla, Lead Teacher Ms. Carla joined our team in 2009 and is a Lead Teacher for our First Steps program. Ms. Carla enjoys spending time with her family and watching basketball in her spare time. She can often be found seeing a new movie or attending church. Ms. Carla's favorite children's book is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" by Eric Carle and her favorite thing about teaching is hearing the children laugh.

Sas, Lead Teacher Ms. Sas joined our team in 2008 and is a Curriculum Resource Specialist and Lead Teacher for our Toddler program. She received a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Central Oklahoma and was our January 2019 Teacher of the Month. Ms. Sas enjoys spending time with her husband Trey and three children. She can often be found doing puzzles, reading, swimming, or decorating. Ms. Sas's favorite children's book is "Papa, Please Get the Moon For Me" by Eric Carle and says that her favorite thing about teaching is seeing children understand something they have been working on and experiencing their happy moments.

Melodie, Lead Teacher Ms. Melodie joined our team in 2011 and is a Lead Teacher for our First Steps program. She is currently working towards a Bachelors degree in Child Development and has over 17 years of experience in early childhood education. Ms. Melodie enjoys spending time with her family, including three older sisters and two younger sisters. She can often be found spending time with her eight nieces and nephews, scrapbooking, and attending entertainment conventions. Ms. Melodie's favorite children's book is "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" by Bill Martin Jr. and she says her favorite thing about teaching is learning each child's thought process and watching their brains work when learning new material.

She is a currently a student at the University of Central Oklahoma pursuing a degree in Child and Family Studies. She has been teaching children since 2013 and enjoys singing, painting and volunteering at her church in her spare time.

Reginnia , Lead Teacher Ms. Tonie joined our team in 2018 and is a Lead Teacher in our First Steps program. She has over 5 years of experience in child care and is excited to begin her career at The Goddard School. In her spare time, Ms. Tonie enjoys spending time with friends and going shopping! Her favorite children's book is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" and she says her favorite thing about working with children is making them smile! Kaelin, Lead Teacher Ms. Kaelin joined our team in 2016 and is a Lead Teacher in our School Age Program. She has received a Bachelors degree in Child Development and a minor in business from The University of Central Oklahoma and has over 6 years of experience in early childhood education. Ms. Kaelin enjoys spending time with her family and friends in her spare time. She can often be found playing with her dog, maintaining an active lifestyle, and traveling. Her favorite children's book is "Don't Push the Button" by Bill Cotter and says her favorite thing about working with children is building relationships with the children and families.

Krissy , Lead Teacher Ms. Krissy joined our team in Aug. 2015 and is a Lead Teacher for our Preschool program. She received an Early Care and Education Master Teacher Certificate and is currently enrolled at OSU-OKC to pursue an Associates degree in Child Development. Ms. Krissy enjoys spending time with her extended family in her spare time. She can often be found reading, shopping, traveling, volunteering at The Boys and Girls Club, and remodeling houses. She says her favorite children's book is "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss and her favorite thing about working with children is making a positive impact on the future by shaping the early years of childhood.

Gena, Lead Teacher Ms. Gena joined our team in 2013 and is a lead teacher for our Pre-Kindergarten program. She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma and has been teaching children since 2010. Ms. Gena enjoys spending time with her family in her spare time. She can often be found reading, shopping and writing screenplays. Her favorite children's book is "The Cat in the Hat" by Dr. Seuss and says her favorite thing about teaching is discovering each individual child's personality.

Marie, Lead Teacher Ms. Marie joined our team in 2008 and is a Lead Teacher for our Pre-Kindergarten program. She received a Bachelor's degree in Photographic Arts from The University of Central Oklahoma and an Associate’s degree in Family Studies and Child Development. She has been teaching children since 2000 and has served as a Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten teacher at The Goddard School. Ms. Marie enjoys spending time with her husband Kevin in her spare time. She can often be found reading or working for her photography business. Her favorite children's book is "The Rainbow Fish" by Marcus Pfister and says her favorite thing about teaching is helping them grow, develop, and learn.

Faiza, Lead Teacher Ms. Faiza joined our team in 2013 and is a Lead Teacher in our Pre-Kindergarten Program. She received a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and has been teaching children since 2003. Ms. Faiza enjoys spending time with her family including three children in her spare time. She can often be found cooking, traveling, reading, and watching television. Her favorite children's book is "No David!" by David Shannon and says her favorite part about working with children is when she is able to help them name their emotions and resolve conflicts.

Ricky, Lead Teacher Mr. Ricky joined our team in 2018 and is a Lead Teacher in our School Age Program. He has received a Bachelor's degree in Physical Fitness from Oklahoma Christian University and was our June 2019 Teacher of the Month. In his spare time, Mr. Ricky enjoys listening to music, playing sports and hanging out with his friends and his daughter. His favorite children's book is "Oh the Places You'll Go" and Mr. Ricky enjoys working with children because it allows him to be a positive influence during their most important years.

Darla, Assistant Teacher Ms. Darla joined our team in May of 2013 and is a Lead Teacher in our Infant program. She has over 17 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and recently received her Child Development Associates. Ms. Darla enjoys spending time with her family and can often be found shopping, traveling, crafting, and decorating. Her favorite children's book is "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus" by Mo Willems and she loves watching her students thrive throughout the year.

Debbie, Assistant Teacher Ms. Debbie joined our team in August of 2016 and is an Assistant Teacher in our Infant Program. She has over 11 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and has always had a heart for children. Ms. Debbie enjoys spending time with her family including her husband of 32 years, their four daughters, and eight grandchildren. Her favorite vacation spot is anywhere on the beach and in her spare time enjoys decorating and crafting. Her favorite children's stories are "Good Night Moon" by Margaret Wise Brown and anything by Dr. Seuss and her favorite part about working with infants is helping them to hit their developmental milestones.

Chloe, Assistant Teacher Chloe is a Resource teacher in our Infant/First Step program. She is currently attending the University of Central Oklahoma and she has coached little league cheer. In her spare time Chloe likes going to church and hanging out with her friends. Kady, Assistant Teacher Ms. Kady joined our team in November of 2017 and is an Assistant Teacher in our First Steps program. She is currently working towards a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and was our April 2019 Teacher of the Month. She can often be found reading, painting, or playing with her three children. Ms. Kady's favorite children's book is "Are You My Mother?" by P.D. Eastman and says her favorite thing about working with children is watching their personalities blossom.

Stacie, Assistant Teacher Ms. Stacie joined our team in July of 2019 and is an Assistant teacher in our preschool program. Stacie has an Associates degree in Massage Therapy from Heritage College. She loves anything that involves D.I.Y, cooking, and doing hair. She loves working with children and is often found reading "Oh the Places You Will Go" by: Dr. Seuss. Stacie says that what she loves about working with children is "watching them grow into beautiful little humans with their own minds."

Denise, Assistant Teacher Ms. Denise joined our team in 2013 and is an Assistant Teacher in our First Steps Program. She received a Nursing Assistant Certificate from the University of Illinois and spent four years as a Red Cross Volunteer Dental Assistant. Ms. Denise has been teaching children since 1977 in military and civilian child development centers. In her spare time, she enjoys watching old movies and spending time with her family, especially her nine grandchildren. She says her favorite children's book is "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?" by Eric Carle and her favorite thing about teaching is helping the children develop important life skills.

Emily, Assistant Teacher Ms. Emily joined our team in 2019 and is an Assistant Teacher in our Pre-Kindergarten program. She has received a Bachelor's degree in English, History and Political Science from Oklahoma Baptist University and is excited to begin her career in childcare. In her spare time, Ms. Emily enjoys reading and working out. Ms. Emily's favorite children's book is the Anne of Green Gables series, and her favorite part about working with children is watching them become more independent and confident in their skills.

Grace, Assistant Teacher Ms. Grace joined our team in 2019 and is an Assistant Teacher in our School Age Program. She currently attends Southwestern Oklahoma State University where she is studying to become a Pharmacist. Ms. Grace's favorite children's books are "The Giving Tree" and "The Rainbow Fish" and her favorite thing about working with children is the joy on their faces as they learn new things!

Presley, Assistant Teacher Presley is a resource teacher in the North Building. She has an associates in Enterprise development from Rose State University and is currently working on a Bachelors in Kinesiology from the University of Central Oklahoma. In her spare time Presley enjoys hiking, swimming, skiing, going to the lake, and hanging out with family and friends. Presley's favorite thing about working with children is watching them have fun while learning new things.

Ashley, Resource Ms. Ashley joined our team in February of 2018 and is a resource teacher in our First Steps Program. She is currently working towards her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and was our November 2018 Teacher of the Month! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and volunteering with her sorority. She says her favorite children's book is "Oh! The Places You'll Go!" by Dr. Seuss and her favorite thing about working with children is connecting with children and instilling the virtues of respect and patience into their growing minds.

Cynthia , Resource Ms. Cynthia joined our team in August of 2018 and is a Resource Teacher in our First Steps program. She is currently attending college and is excited to begin her career in early childhood education. In her spare time, Ms. Cynthia enjoys drawing, singing, playing soccer, and camping. Her favorite children's book is "If You Give a Mouse a Pancake" by Laura Numeroff and she says her favorite thing about teaching is how excited the children are to learn and discover new things.

Kelli, Resource Ms. Kelli joined our team in 2018 and is our Office Assistant. She recently graduated from Epic Charter Schools and plans to attend Oklahoma State University to become a Veterinarian. In her spare time, Ms. Kelli enjoys playing with her dogs, hedgehogs and spending time with her family. Ms. Kelli's favorite children's book is "The Velveteen Rabbit" and her favorite part about working with children is being a crucial part of their growth and development and seeing the joy they experience when they learn new things.

She is currently attending Cowley University where she is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Development and is a cheerleader.
