Ms Kellie, Owner My goal is to instill a love of learning in a safe, caring environment. Here at The Goddard School we have the advantage of combining the best resources with high quality teachers in an environment specifically designed for young children. Working in the field of Early Childhood Education for over twenty years, I have learned the value of creating a positive atmosphere for your child to learn and grow. I believe in hiring dedicated, professional faculty that will help guide your child to be confident independent learners. I look forward to meeting you and sharing my philosophy of learning through play.

Ms Ashley, Lead Teacher I find a special joy in being a part of helping children learn each day. I started working with children from ages K-5 in the after school program for Danbury Public Schools. Eventually, I realized how much I really enjoy working with children and decided to pursue a full time job in the field of education, which brought me to working in a special education preschool classroom. In that classroom I loved seeing the children progress and meet their goals. From there, I started my education path to become an early childhood education teacher. I am thrilled that I am now a part of The Goddard school faculty. I love working with children and I love helping them become the best they can be. Everyday I aspire to be better and gain more knowledge in my field so that I may be the best teacher that I can be for my students.

Ms Ashley

Ms Kaylin, Lead Teacher It is a privilege and an honor to work at The Goddard School. I have been in the field of early childhood education since I was seventeen years old and it has always been a passion of mine to teach young children. Shaping the minds of children is a tremendous responsibility that I am so proud to have the ability to take part in. I have experience with all ages, ranging from infants to school age. My favorite part of teaching is that moment when a child learns something spectacular and he or she begins to crave more knowledge on the subject because that gives me the opportunity to dig deeper with them and explore new, fascinating things! In my free time I enjoy taking up new hobbies to expand my horizons and spending quality time with family and friends. I look forward to the bonds that will be built between myself and the families here at the exceptional Goddard School of Danbury.

Ms Kaylin

Ms Patricia, Lead Teacher I am honored to be a part of The Goddard School of Danbury. I have always found great pleasure in teaching and watching children learn and grow. I have worked in the early childhood education field for over 15 years. I received my Master’s degree from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Not only am I a teacher at Goddard but also a parent here as well. In my free time I enjoy being a mom, scrapbooking and spending time with my family. I am excited to get to know all of The Goddard School families and look forward to a fun and educational experience together.

Ms Marcela, Lead Teacher I am honored to be a part of The Goddard School of Danbury faculty. About 9 years ago I fell in love with Education and have been using this passion as a tool for making a positive change in the world. I studied English and Portuguese Linguistics and Literature at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo in Brazil, my home country. Later on, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. In my journey in the Education field, I have taught age groups from Toddlers to 3rd Graders in international, bilingual and culturally diverse contexts. When I am not at school, I enjoy reading, practicing yoga, connecting with nature and art and travelling around the world. I can’t wait to meet the children and families from The Goddard School and learn from the experiences we will share.

Ms Marcela

Ms Phaedra, Lead Teacher I am currently attending classes to further my education in the field of Early Childhood to be the best version of myself for your wonderful children and their journey of developmental growth. I thoroughly believe in Montessori and Piaget theories, and I view play as an extremely important part of a child’s development; they learn more effectively and thoroughly through play, and I am so glad to be a part of a Goddard because they support Piaget’s theories and philosophy in practice, which makes me so pleased to be here.
I am so excited to not only watch your children grow and learn as I teach, but to also grow and learn with them. I truly look forward to being the new Clownfish lead teacher and to get to know you, your families, and your beautiful children. My goal with your children is for us to work on gross and fine motor development, sensory and science, creative art, language and literacy, and music & movement development.
I am a creative person; I love the arts. Theater, photography, music and art are all very important to me, I love to sing, I enjoy musicals, crocheting, drawing, dancing, movies and TV shows, especially in the marvel superhero and Disney universes. In my spare time I’m learning how to play the ukulele and I hope one day to be able to make it a part of my circle time routine.

Ms Phaedra

Ms Stephany, Lead Teacher I have lived in Danbury all my life. After graduating from Danbury High school I obtained my Bachelors in Anthropology and Sociology from western Connecticut State University. Learning, reading and studying are my favorite things to do, so it was an easy choice to pursue my Masters Degree. After graduating with my masters I did a little writing and contributing to published academic works. Looking for a new challenge, I started teaching 3 years ago and loved it so much that I stopped writing and became a full time teacher.

Ms Stephany

Ms Connie, Lead Teacher I am very excited to be a teacher at the Goddard School! I have been teaching children for the past 15 years from Infants up to Grade 6. I operated my own state licensed daycare for 5 years. Then I went back to school to get my Masters Degree in Elementary Education, and have been working in the public school system ever since as a teacher and as a reading tutor. I am very passionate about teaching children, and helping them succeed in whatever challenges they face. I have always had a connection with children, and share in their enthusiasm of life and learning. I have teenaged children of my own, Mikaela, Sean, and a step daughter Amanda. I am looking forward to getting to know all my students and their families and helping them to learn many new things!

Since her early childhood, she has had a passion for working with children. What she likes most about working with children is sharing her love of learning with them. Ms Nancy

Ms Bruna, Assistant Teacher I am very proud and excited to have been a part of The Goddard School faculty and family since September 2016. Having always had an interest in child development, joining this school has reaffirmed my enthusiasm for the field of early childhood education. Watching the children in my class develop each day gives me such joy. I am fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and the students love when I speak to them in Spanish. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family and reading.

Ms Anastasiya (Nastya), Resource Working at Goddard has been my favorite experience spent with children. My experience started as a young teenage competitive gymnast, which led to coaching preschool gymnastics while I wasn't training. I discovered my passion for being with children there, where I found that I was able to form a special bond with each child and their family, and have since been working with a wide range of 6-month-olds to 13-year-olds to learn about their development and to be in my own happy place. All my joy is found in being part of the growing up process and seeing them start creating memories with their friends and myself.
I am currently studying elementary education at Central Connecticut State University and look forward to my future teaching in an elementary school. I love having the experience of spending my time at Goddard. It's the happiest place to be, where I feel reassured that I have chosen the perfect path for myself to follow!

Ms Anastasiya (Nastya)

Ms Laura, Resource I have worked with children for the past ten years. Working with children has always brought me happiness, and being a part of their lives means so much to me. I’ve always loved being with children and helping them learn and grow. I earned a Liberal Arts Degree with a concentration in Human Sciences and Child Care from Rockland Community College, and I am currently attending Western Connecticut to continue expanding my knowledge about child development.

Ms Laura

Ms Nicole, Resource I am currently a student at Western Connecticut State University soon to graduate with my Bachelor's Degree. I was raised by my two loving parents and have both an older and younger sister. I am very family oriented and like to spend my free time with my family and friends. Ever since I was a teenager I have had experience working with children especially those that are family to me, whether that involves babysitting or volunteering at children’s events. An achievement I am proud of is becoming a Business Owner by opening up an online retail store. School and my life experiences have taught me so much and helped me grow to where I am right now. I am hardworking and have always told myself to never give up, even when times get rough. I hope to share the same message with the children I work with at Goddard, so they know to keep chasing their dreams and that hard work pays off!

Ms Nicole

Ms Skylar , Resource I love anything warm, positive, sunny, and happy!
