Leisa, Owner School Owner:
Leisa has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Oberlin College, a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan, and a Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurial Management from Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania. She is CPR and First Aid certified. Her on-site leadership brings peace of mind to parents and overall increased quality to the school. She is extremely involved in the community, but her door is always open to chat with parents or hug a child.

Kara, Director Kara graduated from West Virginia University with a Masters in Child Development. She has worked in administration since 2000 and has over 20 years of experience working with children. Kara owned and operated a family centered business while growing her own family and transitioned to The Goddard School in January 2017. She has lived in Hendersonville since 2008 with her husband, David, twin boys, Kolby and Kooper, and daughter, Kenzie, who is a student at The Goddard School.

Mrs Mollye, Director Mollye holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in Special Education, her Tennessee and Florida teaching licenses for birth-3rd grade, a National Administrator's Credential, National Childcare Staff Credential, Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten endorsements, and CPR and 1st Aid certificates in addition to being a Tennessee and Florida Public Notary. She has spent many years teaching in Early Education classrooms as well as in administrative positions such as Dean of Campus, Curriculum Specialist, and Early Childhood Specialist.

Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her husband and is always in the middle of a book. Her favorite children's book is Pat the Bunny because of the special childhood memories it holds for her. Both in the classroom and out, she loves building school environments that feel like home and teaching teams that feel like family.

Angela, Assistant Director Angela graduated from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She has several years experience working with children twelve months old through preschool age in the private preschool setting, including working at The Goddard School in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Angela joined our staff in 2014. After taking a year off to enjoy time with her newborn son, James, she rejoined our team in September of 2017.

Ashleigh, Assistant Director Ashleigh received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Child Development and Child/Family Studies from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She began her career in Early Childhood Education with The Goddard School in 2011, first as a teacher until she joined the administrative team. Ashleigh supports all operational and educational programs and manages classroom enrichment opportunities.

Mandy, Assistant Director Assistant Director:
Mandy studied Elementary Education and Special Education at Middle Tennessee State University. She began her Early childhood career with Goddard in 2010 as a lead teacher. In 2014 she worked as the Assistant Director. She has worked with children of all ages for over ten years in a variety of settings, including working at a children's fitness center.

Monica, Lead Teacher Ms. Monica has a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Science Degree from The Autonomous University of Nuevo León in San Nicolas de los Garza, Mexico. She has several years of experience teaching in a preschool setting. Mrs. Monica moved to Tennessee and joined our faculty in January of 2018. Her patience, kindness, and pleasant demeanor provide the perfect educational atmosphere for her students at The Goddard School.

Rachel, Lead Teacher Rachel has completed 30 hours of orientation through TECTA, the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance. She has more than 15 years or experience working in a preschool setting. Rachel joined our team at The Goddard School in September of 2014.

Patrice, Lead Teacher Patrice is certified in the Tennessee Early Childhood Teaching Alliance, and she is currently working on a degree in Child Psychology. Patrice began her career in Early Childhood Education in the year 2000 and has ample experience working with children, including raising a daughter of her own.

Rebecca, Lead Teacher Ms. Rebecca moved to the Hendersonville area from Florida in January of 2019. She has over 10 years of experience in the childcare industry and utilizes her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology to create developmentally appropriate, stimulating lesson plans. In her free time, she enjoys painting and spending time with her husband and pet cat.

Stephanie, Lead Teacher Stephanie has worked in Early Childhood Education for the past 25 years. She studied ECE at Ashland Community Technical College and Morehead State University. Stephanie has worked with infant through pre-kindergarten classes, and has also been a director of a preschool. She has 2 daughters of her own and loves caring for the youngest of our school.

Krista, Lead Teacher Krista has more than 13 years of experience providing care to children in the Hendersonville area. She joined the Goddard School in August of 2018. Her favorite subject to teach is Early Literacy, and she enjoys reading anything by Mercer Mayer. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting and writing her blog.

Katie, Lead Teacher Katherine has a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with emphasis in Education from Western Kentucky University. She has several years of experience working with children, including observations made during her undergraduate studies. Katherine joined The Goddard School in September of 2017.

Sara Beth, Lead Teacher Sara Beth has a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She has several years of experience working with children, including two years of employment at College Heights and her work for Just For Kids in Clarksville, TN. She is enthusiastic about our F.L.E.X. Learning Program and has quickly become a congruous part of our team at The Goddard School. In her spare time, Sara Beth stays active in her church and enjoys traveling to new places.

Andrea, Lead Teacher Andrea graduated from East Robertson High School and earned her Associates Degree in Interior Design from The International Academy of Design and Technology. She is continuing her education at Ashford University in Elementary Education. Andrea has been at The Goddard School since 2013, first as a teacher before she assumed her current position. She supports all facets of classroom and administrative operations to ensure quality and effective systems.

Celestine, Lead Teacher Celeste has an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has more than 12 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings, including her experience in the public school system working with children who have special needs. Her most recent experience in the private preschool setting led her to a career at The Goddard School where she enjoys working with our Toddlers. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.

Jamie, Lead Teacher Jamie has completed extensive coursework in Early Childhood Education. She has over 28 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings. She grew up helping her parents raise foster children and contributing to their in-home preschool. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two teenage children. They especially enjoy visiting animals at the zoo or aquariums.

Ashley, Lead Teacher Ms. Ashley has been working in the childcare setting since her undergraduate studies at Western Kentucky University, where she earned her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2017. She joined The Goddard School in June of 2019 and quickly became an integral part of our faculty. She enjoys working with all age groups and creates a fun learning atmosphere. In her free time, she stays active in her church and enjoys running as well as babysitting.

Olivia, Lead Teacher Olivia is a senior at Lindsey Wilson College, studying Human Services and Counseling. She has over 4 years of experience working with children. Olivia is a native of Hendersonville and is enjoying working with one of her favorite age groups.

Laci, Lead Teacher Laci is originally from Illinois where she grew up and started working with young children at her church and eventually secured a teaching position at a local child care. Laci has been working with children since 2013. She is currently an Early Childhood Education student at Volunteer State Community College.

Callyn, Lead Teacher Callyn graduated from Cumberland University where she double majored in Spanish and Psychology. She has several years of experience working with children as a leader in summer camps, Sunday school and children's musical camps. She joined our team at the Goddard School in July of 2018. Her creativity and optimism create a comfortable, fun learning environment for her students.

Rachel, Lead Teacher Rachel has a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and is currently working on her Master's degree at Middle Tennessee State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has several years experience working around children, primarily in the preschool setting. She joined The Goddard School in September of 2017. During her free time, she enjoys reading and writing works of her own.

Sonja, Lead Teacher Sonja is TECTA, CPR and first aide certified. She has been in childcare for over 16 years, spending most of that time in the preschool setting. She has also volunteered in her church nursery for several years. Sonja is the mother of 3 children of her own and enjoys spending her free time crafting and sewing.

Khadijah, Lead Teacher Khadijah joined The Goddard School in 2019. She is originally from Arkansas where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education at The University of Arkansas. While completing her degree, she worked with preschool children at a local child care center. In her free time, Khadijah enjoys shopping, traveling, dancing and reading.

Summer, Lead Teacher Summer attended the Nashville School of the Arts where she majored in Fine Arts. She earned an Associates Degree from Volunteer State Community College in Fine arts as well. She has several years working with children of various ages, including her volunteer work with art students in elementary school. She volunteers with Vacation Bible School each summer and enjoys staying involved in the community.

Abby, Lead Teacher Abby has an Associate's Degree in Art Education from Hopkinsville Community College. She is also currently attending Western Governor's University to attain her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Her creative nature is a perfect fit for The Goddard School's mission to create a fun learning experience. She has several years of experience working with children in a private preschool setting and has been a part of our team since August of 2016.

Christy, Lead Teacher Christy earned a Bachelor of Science from Western Kentucky University’s College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. She began her career in Early Childhood Education in 2007 and has several years of experience in the private preschool setting. Christy has been a part of our team at The Goddard School since August of 2014.

Victoria, Lead Teacher Vicki studied Elementary Education at Temple University. She obtained her CDA before beginning her career in Early Childhood Education. She has more than ten years of experience working in a private preschool setting. In her spare time, she volunteers with children who have special needs and as well as at animal rescue missions. She also enjoys painting and is currently working towards writing and publishing her own children's book.

Heather, Lead Teacher Heather completed undergraduate coursework in 2007 at Tuson College in Lancashire, England. She then obtained her CDA from Montclair State University in New Jersey. She has worked with children in a variety of settings since the turn of the century. Some of her experience has been as an Au Pair and as a teacher in various preschools, including Wyckoff Christian School and The Goddard School in New Jersey. She has been with The Goddard School in Hendersonville since July of 2012. Heather was voted National Goddard Teacher of the Year in 2018.

Priscilla, Lead Teacher Priscilla obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She came to The Goddard School in 2018 from Madison Creek Elementary, where she began her career in Education. She inculcates an enthusiasm for learning in her students through hands on lesson plan activities. Her patience and positive attitude in the classroom enable her to implement the Fun Learning Experience that is proven the most academically successful in Early Childhood Education.

Lisa, Lead Teacher Lisa has an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently seeking her Bachelor's Degree. She has been working in ECE for over 25 years and even owned a center of her own. At this time, she wants to be back in the classroom and teach the children again; it's her first love!

Heather, Lead Teacher Heather graduated from The University of Tennessee at Martin in December 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. Her experience includes over nine years working in the early childhood field where she has worked with children of all ages; however, most of her time has been spent with PreKindergarten age children.

Julie, Lead Teacher Mrs. Julie joined the Goddard School faculty in July of 2019. She has more than 20 years of experience in the childcare industry, most of which she earned at Head Start. She is dedicated to providing the best environment for social and academic success. Her favorite thing about teaching is seeing the "light bulb" moments with students when she is able to take advantage of a teachable moment. She has three grown children and three grandchildren of her own.

Nikki, Assistant Teacher Nikki graduated from Euclidian Beauty School and has several credit hours in Early Childhood Education. She is a loving and nurturing teacher and caregiver to our infants. Nikki has been a teacher at The Goddard School since 2014.

Jacquelyn, Assistant Teacher Jackee graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. She has over eight years experience working with children of all ages in a variety of settings including volunteering at Life Way kids camps and working with the children’s ministry at her church.

Kristen, Assistant Teacher Ms. Kristen earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She began her career at a private elementary school in Chattanooga as a first grade Teaching Assistant before relocating to the Nashville area. She joined The Goddard School in the summer of 2019 and quickly began utilizing her knowledge of early childhood development to enhance the learning experience for our students. Her passion for providing the best preparation for academic success lends itself to her new role in our Get Set classroom.

Rebekah, Assistant Teacher Rebekah began her career at The Goddard School in September of 2018. Her outgoing and bubbly personality resonates well with the children who have quickly grown to love having her in their classrooms. She encourages learning through play and especially enjoys working in a child centered classroom environment.

Sydney, Assistant Teacher Sydney obtained her degree from a small Christian school and profoundly values community and relationships with others. She has several years of experience working with children as a leader in church as well as babysitting and working as a nanny. She attributes her own character and positive work ethic to the wonderful education she received and is enthusiastic about introducing the same qualities through Early Childhood Education. Her positive attitude and patience creates a fun learning experience for her students.

Cassandra, Resource Cassie earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Biola University in California. She moved to Tennessee and joined The Goddard School Faculty in 2018. Her enthusiasm for early childhood education is emphasized through her approach to guided lessons in the classroom. She helps create a dynamic educational environment where students are actively involved in their learning experiences.

Donna, Resource Donna joined The Goddard School as a substitute teacher in 2018. She studied Elementary Education at Vol State Community College and has several hours of Early Childhood Education Training. She is CPR and First Aid Certified and has more than 28 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and staying involved in her church.

Gaye, Resource Mrs. Gaye has completed coursework in Early Childhood Education through Volunteer State Community College, completed 30 hours of orientation through TECTA, the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance, and participated in many CCR&R workshops. She began her career in Early Childhood Education in 1979 and has a wealth of knowledge to share with her students and coworkers. She has been a part of our team at The Goddard School since 2014.

Kristin, Resource Kristin joined The Goddard School in 2018 as a substitute teacher.She studied Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education before teaching 2nd grade for 19 years. She moved on to teach 5th and 6th grade where she received training in Balanced Literacy, Autism Training as well as Bullying Training. Her patient approach to communication with students helps create a safe, stimulating environment where students are encouraged to contribute to their own experiences.

Michelle, Resource Michelle has a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. Most recently, she was employed as the Ministry Coordinator at Mountain Rd Church in Virginia. In addition to her role as a director, she has several years of experience teaching in the classroom. She joined The Goddard School in 2018 and has quickly become an integral part of our team.
