Ms Sue, Owner I am so pleased to be the Owner of The Goddard School located in Franklin(Cool Springs)! I have lived in Franklin since 2005 and absolutely love it. I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. After 16 years of corporate business experience I am very happy to be a business owner. I know that I have the best "job" in the world. I love the children and am dedicated to providing THE BEST environment for them and their families every day. Education, Love, and Customer Service are my focus.

Ms Juanita, Director Juanita is our Director of Operations. She began with The Goddard School as a Preschool Teacher in 2010 and was promoted to our administration team in 2011. Juanita received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Belmont University. Her experience includes over fifteen years working with three to five year old children in preschool settings both in the United States and overseas. During the five years she spent teaching in Germany, she was also a preschool director. Communication with families is of utmost importance to her and she really enjoys getting to know each child and family individually.

Ms Rita, Director Rita is our Director of Education. She began with The Goddard School as a Preschool Teacher in 2010 and was then promoted to our administration team to share her talents with the entire school. Rita received her degree in Education and Early Childhood Education Administration from Ashford University. Her experiences includes over 25 years of teaching infants through school-age children in military early childhood education and public school environments. She has had the opportunity to teach here in the US and in Italy. She believes that a child-centered learning environment promotes the very best educational experience for children.

Ms Laura , Assistant Director Laura is our Assistant Director. She received her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbia State. She has been working with young children professionally in home and preschool settings since 2008. She enjoys crafts and spending time with her family in her spare time. Laura believes that every child deserves to feel safe and loved. Every child learns and develops a their own pace. She strives to fill each child's day with fun learning activities that are both challenging and achievable.

Ms Stacey, Lead Teacher Stacey is a Co-Teacher in our Infant program. She has a Bachelor's degree from Auburn University. Her experience includes working with infants since 2015. In her spare time, Stacey enjoys reading and spending time at the lake with her family. Stacey believes each child is unique in their own way. She is a positive influence on the infants, encouraging them and loving them to help them achieve their goals and develop positive self-esteem.

Ms Dee Dee, Lead Teacher Dee Dee is a Co-Teacher in our Infant progam. She has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her experience includes working with infants through school-aged children in private preschool and public school settings, as well as working as a private nanny since 1997. In her spare time, Dee Dee enjoys spending time with her 4 daughters and her grandson, Braeden. She also loves cheering for the Titans and watching old movies on TCM. She believes that each child is unique and learns in his or her own way.

Ms Maria, Lead Teacher Maria is a Co-Teacher in our First Steps program. Her experience includes working with Infants through school age children since 2015. Maria also has experience working with families and children with special needs. In her spare time, Maria enjoys attending Predators games, photography, hiking, puzzles and spending time with her Husband and their two dogs. Maria believes if we provide everything a child needs and are always there for them they will succeed in all areas of life!

Ms Bethany, Lead Teacher Bethany is a Co-Teacher in our First Steps program. She has a Bachelors in Cultural Anthropology from Western Kentucky University. Bethany has worked with young children in a professional preschool setting since 2016. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and other outdoor activities. Bethany believes every child should be provided a safe and educational environment where they can learn and grow through play.

Ms Letitia, Lead Teacher Letitia is a Co-Teacher in our First Steps program. She has a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tennessee Tech. Letitia is currently going to school for her Master's. Her work experience includes working with young children in a classroom setting since 2016. In Letitia's spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter. She believes working with children has taught her to slow down and enjoy the little things. Letitia feels children need guidance in the right direction, as they are the future.

Ms Carrie, Lead Teacher Carrie is a Co-Teacher in our Toddler Program. Carrie has taken Early Childhood classes at Motlow Community College. Her experience includes working with infants through school age children and in administration since 1996. Carrie believes her responsibility is to figure out how a child learns and facilitate that style. Listening, understanding and guiding are the three principles she uses with children.

Ms Sam, Lead Teacher Sam is a Co-Teacher in our Toddler program. She has a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Middle Tennessee State University. Sam has worked with children ages infant through preschool since 2017. In her spare time she enjoys reading and collecting books. Sam believes in making learning fun for the children.

Ms Tina, Lead Teacher Tina is a Co-Teacher in our Get Set Program. She is working towards an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. Tina's experience includes working with children in a professional setting for over 10 years. In her spare time, Tina enjoys hiking and spending time with her child. She believes it is important to meet a child where they are. She comes to their level in order to connect and find out about who they are and their learning style.

Ms Vanitey, Lead Teacher Vanitey is a Co-Teacher in our Get Set Program. She has received a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Athens State University. Her experience has been working with Infants through three-year olds for 8 years. Vanitey loves to read and at Barnes and Nobles a lot! She believes it is important to let children explore! They are naturally curious and learn best when they explore their surroundings.

Ms Anjellica, Lead Teacher Anjellica is a Co-Teacher in our Get Set Program. She has a Bachelors of Social Work from Lipscomb University. Anjellicsa's experience includes working with preschool through school age children since 2014. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and hanging out at the lake. Anjellica believes that in order for a child to achieve their goals you must help them grow and develop.

Ms Rebecca, Lead Teacher Rebecca is a Co-Teacher for our Get Set program. She has a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Psychology. Rebecca's experience has been working with preschool age children in a professional setting for over 6 years. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, camping and taking care of her 4 children and 3 pets. Rebecca believes children are our future. They should be encouraged to learn and grow at their own speed. The best practice is to encourage learning through play and make every moment a learning opportunity so that learning is fun!!

Ms Lisa, Lead Teacher Lisa is a Co-Teacher in our Preschool Program. Lisa has an Associates degree in Human Services from the College of St. Joseph. Her experience includes working with infant through school age children for over 20 years. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys swimming, hiking and camping. She believes all children have their own special qualities. Each child deserves patience, respect and guidance to learn and grow.

Ms Phyllis, Lead Teacher Phyllis is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education at Indiana State University. She has experience working with children ages 3-18 years old in a professional setting since 2015. In her spare time she enjoys dancing and yoga. Spending time with family is everything to her!
Phyllis believes being active is the best way to learn. Finding new ways for children to learn new materials will always keep them ready and willing to learn. Using music and visuals always keep children ready to learn as well.

Ms Gabrielle , Lead Teacher Gabby is a Co-teacher in the Harbor. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Her experience is working with infants through third grade in a professional setting since 2017. In her spare time, Gabby enjoys cheering on the Auburn Tigers, spending time with family and friends, finding the best ice cream shops, making cards and painting water colors. Gabby's teaching philosophy is to meet each child where they are and foster a loving and intentional learning environment.

Ms TaJuana, Lead Teacher TaJuana is a Co-teacher in our Preschool Program. She has an Associates in Early Childhood Development. She has been working with Infants through Five-year olds since 2011, including as a classroom teacher in a preschool program. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family,relaxing and shopping.
TaJuana believes that children should have a fun and safe environment to learn and grow.

Ms Courtney, Lead Teacher Courtney is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K program. She has an Associates Degree. Her experience includes working with infants through Pre-K since 2010. In her spare time, Courtney enjoys cooking, spending time with family, shopping, binge watching TV shows and movies, working puzzles and playing games. Courtney believes it is important to understand that each child is different and will learn and prosper on their own. Guidance, support and care assist in every child’s educational/developmental growth. Showing patience and getting to know each child to create trust and bonds is key to the overall success of each child.

Ms Lynn, Lead Teacher Lynn is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K program. She has a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Her experience includes teaching Kindergarten for 6 years and then working with infants through preschool since 2002. In her spare time, Lynn enjoys spending time with her family, going to movies and vacationing. Lynn believes a great teacher should make learning fun, meaningful and exciting. Building good relationships and preparing students to be successful in school and in life is very important.

Mr Brian, Lead Teacher Brian is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K program. He has an Elementary Education degree from Middle Tennessee State University. His experience includes working with infants through school-aged children in private preschool and public schools since 2001. In his spare time, Brian enjoys singing in his church choir, bowling, coaching basketball, reading, and watching sports. He believes that you should always give your very best, and hopes to instill that same drive in his students.

Ms Wanda, Lead Teacher Wanda is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K program. She has a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University. Her experience includes working with children ages preschool through high school since 2009. In her spare time, Wanda enjoys reading, hiking, biking, baking, gardening, rescuing cats and British television. Wanda believes children are bundles of potential and need opportunities to gain autonomy, confidence and independence. Giving them choices, supporting a growth mindset and promoting their curiosity will help them blossom and become life long learners.

Mr Isaac, Lead Teacher Isaac is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K program. He has an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. Isaac's experience includes working with children since 2013. In his spare time, he likes running and playing basketball. He believes that every child deserves a safe and welcoming classroom. He believes that children learn best through hands on activities.

Ms Kelly, Lead Teacher Kelly is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K program. She has an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Alabama. Her experience includes working with infants through preschool age children in an early childhood setting since 2013. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys being outside hiking and walking her dog. She strives to help young children learn and grow. She wants young children to have fun while they are learning. Kelly works her best at helping each child and works on having a relationship with each child and parent.

Ms Carol, Lead Teacher Carol has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an ESOL/Reading Endorsement. Her has experience working with children ages infants to teenagers professionally since 2006.In her spare time she enjoys gardening as well as travelling with friends and family. Carol believes that every child is unique and has the ability to learn. She enjoys watching them grow and change and develop in their own way.

Meagan , Lead Teacher Meagan is a co-teacher in the Boardwalk. She has a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She has experience working with children Kindergarten age to 5th grade since 2015. Meagan enjoys baking, snowboarding, fishing, hiking, photography, learning French and playing the Ukulele.
Meagan's teaching philosophy is hoping to teach children to persevere through struggles (big or small) and to have compassion for others and for themselves.

Ms Haley, Assistant Teacher Haley is our Teacher Assistant in the Inlet classroom. She is currently pursuing a CDA. She has worked with children of all ages, including infants, for many years. Haley enjoys spending time with her daughter and family. She also enjoy reading, movies, animals and hiking. She says "I can be kind of a nerd when it comes to rocks and gems."
Haley's teaching philosophy is children are our future. We need to make sure our children have the skills they need to become leaders, doctors, etc. All children are different, unique snowflakes, and need to be handled with care. Love and care is what will help a child grown and become extraordinary. If we help raise them and show them they can take on the world, one day they will.

Ms Jennifer, Assistant Teacher Jennifer is an Assistant Teacher in our Infant program. She is working on her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Liberty University. Jennifer has been working with young children since 2014. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family. She loves movies, road trips and relaxing. Jennifer believes that students should be provided a safe and inviting environment where they can be free to express themselves and expand their knowledge.

Ms Quiyosha, Assistant Teacher Quiyosha is an Assistant Teacher in our First Steps Program. Quiyosha's work experience includes working with infants through school age children since 2012. In her spare time, she enjoys watching The Office, rock climbing and hanging out with her new husband. Quiyosha believes children are the future and she wants to help them be their best to make the world better.

Monica , Assistant Teacher Monica is a co-teacher in our Get Set Program. She has a CDA (Child Development Associate Credential). She has worked with children ages 2-4 years old since 1996. Monica enjoys scrapbooking as well as spending time with my children and fur babies.  Monica's teaching philosophy is that all children need a fair chance to learn at their own pace. There is a quote that I love, “If they can’t learn the way you teacher, teach the way they learn.”

Ms Abbigail, Resource Abbi is part of our Support Staff. She is a graduate of Independence High school and CNA Nursing Program. She has worked with infants through Three year old. Abbi Loves to read, camp and kayaking. She believes every child is different and deserves love. It is our duty to help them learn, grow and allowed to be themselves.

Andy's experience includes working with young children infants through school age since 2015. In his spare time, he is a huge sports fan. Andy believes in helping bring out the best in each individual child.

Anne's experience includes working with infants and toddlers in Early Childhood settings since 1998. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding and card games. Anne believes that education is a partnership and she wants to be a good role model for the children.

Jane's experience includes working with young children ages infant through preschool in home and school settings since 2015. In her spare time, Jane enjoys reading and outdoor activities. She believes the key aspect with working with young children is establishing love, warmth, and kindness.

Ms Julie, Resource Julie is a Co-Teacher in our Get Set Program. She has her Associates Degree in the Arts and Sciences (with a Global Study Emphasis) and Senior Credits in Early Childhood Education from Texas State University.
Her experience includes working with children ages infant to adolescence in educational, therapeutic, home and recreational settings since 1990. She enjoys embroidery, sewing, hiking, walking, cooking, reading, swimming and gardening. She believes engaging with children in a loving manner while recognizing teachable moments is one of her primary goals. She fully believes children “Learn what they Live” and desire to be a source of unconditional love and acceptance. Children learn while having fun teachers to scaffold growing opportunities.

Ms Lauren, Resource Lauren is a Co-Teacher in our Get Set program. She has a Bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Early Childhood and Music Education. Lauren's experience includess working with Preschool through teen aged children since 2010. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, video games and hiking. Lauren believes that all children require a safe, nurturing and fun environment to grow, learn and thrive. She strives to provide all children opportunities to learn about themselves, their peers and the world around them through exploration, discovery, and play.

Ms Lisa, Resource Lisa is a member of our Support Faculty. She has a degree in Liberal Arts from Raritan Valley Community College in New Jersey. Her experience includes working with preschool through school-aged children as a Girl Scout Leader and in community preschool settings since 2007. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending quality time with her two kids, running, and volunteering. She loves providing a positive environment where children can grow and thrive.

Ms Lisa, Resource Lisa is an Interim Teacher for our school. She has taken art and entrepreneurship classes at Tennessee State University and Middle Tennessee University. Lisa's experience includes working with infants through preschool children since 2004. She has worked for another Goddard School for three years. In her spare time, she loves watching her daughter play sports and participating in outdoor activities, everything from rock climbing to enjoying the ocean. She believes showing compassion and love for each individual child is priority. If a child is not receiving genuine love, there is no solid foundation to build on.

Mr Lucas, Resource Lucas is one of our Interim Teachers and our Technology Coordinator. His experience is working with children ages 3 to 18 years old in a professional setting since 2009. Lucas enjoys hiking, cooking, electronics (video games and computers), arts and crafts. Lucas believes every child is deserving of a safe and fun environment to ensure the best potential for growth.

Ms Michelle , Resource Michelle is our Administrative Support Faculty. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education from Laguardia Community College in New York. Michelle's experience includes working in early childhood settings since 2002. She has been a Girl Scout Leader and member for over 35 years. Michelle believes every child can learn if given the opportunity to express themselves in a safe and nurturing environment.

Ms Pam, Resource Pam is a member of our Support Faculty. Pam completed Early Childhood Education credits at Sierra College in California for a childhood credential permit. Her experience includes working with infants through school age children since 2005. In her spare time, Pam enjoys reading, camping, skiing and watching movies. She loves to nurture and encourage children to achieve their best potential.

Ms Stacie, Resource Stacie is our Training Coordinator. She has her Associates in Health Information and Child Development Associates(CDA). Her experience includes working with ages infant through 10 year olds and administration since 1998. In her spare time, Stacie enjoys spending time with her family, reading and doing crafts. Stacie believes children are more excited and learn more when they can use all their senses and really get involved in what they are doing.
