Ms Juanita, Owner I am excited to be the Onsite Owner of The Goddard School Cool Springs! I began at The Goddard School as a Preschool Teacher in January 2010 and was promoted to the Administration Team in 2011. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Belmont University. My experience includes working with children ages infants to five years old children in preschool settings both in the United States and overseas since 2001. I believe in each child's individual potential. I am proud that our school is a supportive, fun learning environment for the emotional, educational and professional growth of children, their families and our staff.

Ms Sue, Owner I am so pleased to be the Owner of The Goddard School located in Franklin(Cool Springs)! I have lived in Franklin since 2005 and absolutely love it. I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. After 16 years of corporate business experience I was very excited to open The Goddard School as my own business in 2009. I love the children and am dedicated to ensuring THE BEST environment for them and their families every day.

Ms Rita, Director Rita is our Executive Director. She began with The Goddard School Cool Springs as a Preschool Teacher in 2010 and was then promoted to our Administration Team to share her talents with the entire school. Rita received her degree in Education and Early Childhood Education Administration from Ashford University. Her experiences includes over 25 years of teaching infants through school-age children in military early childhood education and public school environments. She has had the opportunity to teach here in the US and in Italy. She believes that a child-centered learning environment promotes the very best educational experience for children.

Ms Laura , Assistant Director Laura is our Assistant Director. She began with The Goddard School of Cool Springs in 2015 as a Co-Teacher before joining the Administration Team in 2018. She received her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbia State. She has been working with young children professionally in home and preschool settings since 2008. She enjoys crafts and spending time with her family in her spare time. Laura believes that every child deserves to feel safe and loved. Every child learns and develops a their own pace. She strives to fill each child's day with fun learning activities that are both challenging and achievable.

Ms Quiyosha, Assistant Director Quiyosha is our Operations Coordinator. She began at The Goddard School in Cool Springs as a member of our Support Faculty in 2017 and quickly moved into the classroom as an Assistant Teacher. She was promoted to our Administration Team in 2020. Quiyosha's work experience includes working with infants through school age children since 2012. In her spare time, she enjoys watching The Office, rock climbing and hanging out with her husband. Quiyosha believes children are the future and she wants to help them be their best to make the world better.

Ms Eileen, Lead Teacher Eileen is a Lead Teacher in our Infant Program. She has her Bachelors Degree from the College of the Holy Cross. Eileen's experience includes working with infants through 16 years old as a babysitter and camp counselor. In her spare time, Eileen loves being active and being outdoors! She enjoys going on hikes, canoeing, camping and going on road trips to interesting sites around Tennessee with her children. Eileen believes a child’s greatest need is to feel loved, safe and secure. Her wish is to provide an environment where the children are free to explore and learn in a way that is comforting, warm and empathetic.

Ms Carrie, Lead Teacher Carrie is a Co-Teacher in our Infant Program. Carrie has taken Early Childhood classes at Motlow Community College. Her experience includes working with infants through school age children and in administration since 1996. Carrie believes her responsibility is to figure out how a child learns and facilitate that style. Listening, understanding and guiding are the three principles she uses with children.

Ms Dee Dee, Lead Teacher Dee Dee is a Lead Teacher in our Infant Program. She has a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics and Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her experience includes working with infants through school-aged children in private preschool and public school settings, as well as working as a private nanny since 1997. In her spare time, Dee Dee enjoys spending time with her 4 daughters and her grandson, Braeden. She also loves cheering for the Titans and watching old movies on TCM. She believes that each child is unique and learns in his or her own way.

Ms Letitia, Lead Teacher Letitia is a Co-Teacher in our First Steps program. She has a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tennessee Tech. Letitia is currently going to school for her Masters Degree. Her work experience includes working with young children in a classroom setting since 2016. In Letitia's spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter. She believes working with children has taught her to slow down and enjoy the little things. Letitia feels children need guidance in the right direction, as they are the future.

Ms Rachell, Lead Teacher Rachell is a co-teacher in our First step program. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Science with an emphasis in Child Development. Her experience is working with infants to 4 year olds since 1991. Rachell enjoys reading and spending time with her kids, usually at a sporting event. She feels when working with young children you have to be willing to learn as much from them as you teach them. There’s always something new you both can learn.

Ms Bethany, Lead Teacher Bethany is a Co-Teacher in our Toddler program. She has a Bachelors Degree in Cultural Anthropology from Western Kentucky University. Bethany has worked with young children in a professional preschool setting since 2016. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and other outdoor activities. Bethany believes every child should be provided a safe and educational environment where they can learn and grow through play.

Ms Madeline, Lead Teacher Madeline is a Co-Teacher in our Toddler Program. She has Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Studies. Her experience includes working with children ages 1 year old to elementary school age since 2013. She enjoys reading, listening to and playing music as well as hanging out with my friends and family. Madeline believes each child is unique and should be treated that way. She also believes making learning fun is the best way to make children excited about learning!

Ms Sam, Lead Teacher Sam is a Co-Teacher in our Toddler program. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Middle Tennessee State University. Sam has worked with children ages infant through preschool since 2017. In her spare time she enjoys reading and collecting books. Sam believes in making learning fun for the children.

Ms Aliceson, Lead Teacher Aliceson is a Co-teacher in our Get Set program. She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Education from Bowling Green State University. Her experience is working with toddlers through 12th grade since 1990. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, grilling for her family, being with her family and going to the farmer’s markets. Aliceson believes all children are unique. They need to be loved, nurtured, cared for, shown you care for them and assisted in new, relevant and right-now activities.

Tina is a Co-Teacher in our Get Set Program. She is currently working towards an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education. Her experience is working with children in a preschool setting for over 10 years. Tina enjoys hiking and spending time with her daughter. Tina believes it is important to meet a child where they are. She comes to their level in order to connect and find out about who they are and their learning style.

Ms Jacqueline, Lead Teacher Jacqueline is a Co-Teacher in our Get Set Program. She has a Bachelors Degree from Anhembi Morombi University. Jacqueline has been working with young children in a professional setting since 2013. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking healthy meals, reading books, exercising, and spending time with her family. Jacqueline believes that by understanding a child’s individual needs we can promote a healthy learning environment and grow together.

Ms Kacie, Lead Teacher Kacie is a Co-Teacher in our Get Set program. She has her Bachelors Degree in Business from Mississippi State University. Kacie's experience is working with Pre-K and Kindergarten age children since 2014. In her spare time, she enjoys music, cooking, the outdoors, and attending any sporting event.Kacie believes children need a warm and welcoming environment in their classroom. She thinks play is the most important thing for children and it is important to make learning fun and have a positive attitude!

Ms Monica , Lead Teacher Monica is a Co-Teacher in our Get Set Program. She has a CDA (Child Development Associate Credential). She has worked with children ages 2-4 years old since 1996. Monica enjoys scrapbooking as well as spending time with her children and fur babies.  Monica's teaching philosophy is that all children need a fair chance to learn at their own pace. There is a quote that explains her philosophy, “If they can’t learn the way you teacher, teach the way they learn.”

Ms Lisa, Lead Teacher Lisa is a Co-Teacher in our Preschool Program. Lisa has an Associates Degree in Human Services from the College of St. Joseph. Her experience includes working with infant through school age children for over 20 years. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys swimming, hiking and camping. She believes all children have their own special qualities. Each child deserves patience, respect and guidance to learn and grow.

Ms Nicole, Lead Teacher Nicole is a Co-teacher in our Preschool Program. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Barry University. Her experience is working with three-year olds to Kindergarten since 2000. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys reading, taking my dog for long walks and small road trips with my husband. Nicole's teaching philosophy is believing it is important that children know mistakes are part of the learning process. “Great teachers engineer learning experiences that put students in the driver’s seat and then get out of the way.” -Ben Johnson

Ms Rebecca, Lead Teacher Rebecca is a Co-Teacher in our Preschool Program. She has a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Psychology. Rebecca's experience has been working with preschool age children in a professional setting since 2013. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, camping and taking care of her 4 children and 3 pets. Rebecca believes children are our future. They should be encouraged to learn and grow at their own speed. The best practice is to encourage learning through play and make every moment a learning opportunity so that learning is fun!

Ms Samantha, Lead Teacher Samantha is a Co-teacher in our Preschool Program. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Production with a minor in Communications from MTSU. Samantha has worked with children ages infant through four-year olds since 2011. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, outdoors, hiking with her 2 dogs, and arts and crafts. Samantha believes in a combination of safety, care, trust, play, and education. Safety of the children she teaches is top priority, and the care she provides is close to follow. Nothing is more important than the health and safety of children. Their safety and their needs are number one. In order to build trust with a child and with parents you must show them that they are safe with you and the quality of the care you provide is the best. After that relationship of trust is built comes education which is done through play. She believes children learning through play creates a fun experience. While children learn through fun memorable experiences, they develop multiple skills that lead them through their early childhood and aid them into adulthood.

Ms Courtney, Lead Teacher Courtney is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K program. She has an Associates Degree. Her experience includes working with infants through Pre-K since 2010. In her spare time, Courtney enjoys cooking, spending time with family, shopping, binge watching TV shows and movies, working puzzles and playing games. Courtney believes it is important to understand that each child is different and will learn and prosper on their own. Guidance, support and care assist in every child’s educational/developmental growth. Showing patience and getting to know each child to create trust and bonds is key to the overall success of each child.

Mr Brian, Lead Teacher Brian is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K program. He has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Middle Tennessee State University. His experience includes working with infants through school-aged children in private preschool and public schools since 2001. In his spare time, Brian enjoys singing in his church choir, bowling, coaching basketball, reading, and watching sports. He believes that you should always give your very best, and hopes to instill that same drive in his students.

Ms Wanda, Lead Teacher Wanda is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K program. She has a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University. Her experience includes working with children ages preschool through high school since 2009. In her spare time, Wanda enjoys reading, hiking, biking, baking, gardening, rescuing cats and British television. Wanda believes children are bundles of potential and need opportunities to gain autonomy, confidence and independence. Giving them choices, supporting a growth mindset and promoting their curiosity will help them blossom and become life long learners.

Ms Stacie, Lead Teacher Stacie is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K Program. She has her Associates Degree in Health Information and Child Development Associates(CDA). Her experience includes working with ages infant through 10 year olds and administration since 1998. In her spare time, Stacie enjoys spending time with her family, reading and doing crafts. Stacie believes children are more excited and learn more when they can use all their senses and really get involved in what they are doing.

Ms Jenny, Lead Teacher Ms. Jenny is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K Program. Jenny has a Bachelors Degree in Universal Studies and Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Morehead State University. Her experience includes working with infants through school age children since 2004.In her spare time, she enjoys kayaking, hiking, traveling, spending time with family and playing with her dog, Woody. She believes all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. She assists her students to express themselves and accept themselves for who they are, as well as embrace the differences of others. Every classroom has its own unique community; she sees her role as their teacher is to assist each child in developing their own learning styles. She enjoys presenting a curriculum that will incorporate each different learning style, as well as make the content relevant to the students’ lives. She also enjoys incorporating hands-on learning, cooperative learning, projects, themes, and individual work that engage and activate students learning.

Ms Mackenzie, Lead Teacher Mackenzie is a Co-Teacher in our PreK Program. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Education. Her experience includes working with young children since 2014. In her spare time she enjoys running, hiking, being outside as well as spending time with family and close friends. Mackenzie believes with love, support and grace; every child has the ability to succeed.

Ms Haley, Assistant Teacher Haley is an Assistant Teacher in our Infant Program. She is currently working on her CDA. She has worked with children of all ages, including infants, for many years. Haley enjoys spending time with her daughter and family. She also enjoy reading, movies, animals and hiking. She says "I can be kind of a nerd when it comes to rocks and gems."
Haley's teaching philosophy is that children are our future. We need to make sure our children have the skills they need to become leaders, doctors, etc. All children are different, unique snowflakes and need to be handled with care. Love and care is what will help a child grow and become extraordinary. If we help raise them and show them they can take on the world, one day they will.

Ms Rebecca, Assistant Teacher Rebecca is an Assistant Teacher in our Toddler program. She is currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education at Volunteer State Community College
Rebecca has been working with children of all ages in a professional setting since 2018. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her kids, running and shopping.
Rebecca believes every child should feel important, loved and safe. She wants her students to know they have a safe place and to have fun while they learn.

Mr Andy, Resource Andy is a member of our Support Faculty. He is currently studying Early Childhood Education at Columbia State. Andy's experience includes working with young children infants through school age since 2015. In his spare time, he is a huge sports fan. Andy believes in helping bring out the best in each individual child.

Ms Anne, Resource Anne is a member of our Support Faculty. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Anne's experience includes working with infants and toddlers in Early Childhood settings since 1998. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding and card games. Anne believes that education is a partnership and she wants to be a good role model for the children.

Ms Elyssa, Resource Elyssa is our School Age Support member. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Lee University. Elyssa's experience includes working with Elementary and Middle School Age children since 2017. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, reading, going to eat and movies. Elyssa believes it is her responsibility to make sure all children have a personal connection and feel safe and understood by the teacher.

Ms Emily, Resource Emily is an Interim Teacher. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood from Southwest Tennessee Community College. Her experience is working with infant to elementary age children since 2016. In her spare time, she enjoys thrift shopping and painting. Emily believes that young children learn best in a hands on setting. She also believes that young children should be loved on and nurtured as well as given the opportunity to be independent and explore new things.

Ms Kyara, Resource Kyara is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K program. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Kyara's experience is working two through six-year olds since 2013.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, being outdoors, traveling and learning new activities. Kyara believes in creating a nurturing and safe environment where the child and their families feel welcome. Her goal is to build their confidence with learning and creativity that they can build up in their educational lives.

Ms Lakesa, Resource Lakesa is a member of our Support Faculty. Her received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Tusculum University. Her experience includes working with infants through 4 year olds since 2018. In her spare time; Lakesa enjoys traveling, baking, crafting and spending time with family and friends.

Ms Lisa, Resource Lisa is a member of our Support Faculty. Her focus is the Infant Program. She has taken art and entrepreneurship classes at Tennessee State University and Middle Tennessee University. Lisa's experience includes working with infants through preschool children since 2004. She has previously worked for another Goddard School for three years. In her spare time, she loves watching her daughter play sports and participating in outdoor activities, everything from rock climbing to enjoying the ocean. She believes showing compassion and love for each individual child is the priority. If a child is not receiving genuine love, there is no solid foundation to build on.

Ms Michelle , Resource Michelle is a member of our Support Faculty. Her focus is supporting our Administration Team. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education from Laguardia Community College in New York. Michelle's experience includes working in early childhood settings since 2002. She has been a Girl Scout Leader and member for over 35 years. Michelle believes every child can learn if given the opportunity to express themselves in a safe and nurturing environment.

Ms Pam, Resource Pam is a member of our Support Faculty. Pam completed Early Childhood Education credits at Sierra College in California for a childhood credential permit. Her experience includes working with infants through school age children since 2005. In her spare time, Pam enjoys reading, camping, skiing and watching movies. She loves to nurture and encourage children to achieve their best potential.
