Ms Sue, Owner I am so pleased to be the Owner of The Goddard School located in Franklin(Cool Springs)! My husband, Neil, my son, Tyler, and I have lived in Franklin since 2005 and we absolutely love it. I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. After 16 years of corporate business experience I am very happy to be a business owner. I know that I have the best "job" in the world. I love the children and am dedicated to providing THE BEST environment for them and their families every day. Education, Love, and Customer Service are my focus.

Ms Amy, Director Amy joined The Goddard School as Executive Director in 2012. Amy previously worked with Mid-Cumberland Child Care Resource and Referral where she worked with all of the Department of Human Services licensed child care facilities in Williamson County. She provided technical assistance and training to directors and child care providers. She has also previously been a Director and preschool teacher. Amy is active with the Nashville Area Association for the Education of Young Children serving on the Executive and Governing Boards of the organization. She has a degree in Communications from Vanderbilt University. She enjoys working with families and staff as we practice the Goddard philosophy of instilling a lifelong love of learning in the children entrusted in our care.

Ms Juanita, Assistant Director Juanita is our Assistant Director of Family and Community Engagement. She began with The Goddard School as a Preschool Teacher in 2010 and was promoted to our administration team in 2011. Juanita received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Belmont University Her experience includes over fifteen years working with three to five year old children in preschool settings both in the United States and overseas. During the five years she spent teaching in Germany, she was also a preschool director. Communication with families is of utmost importance to her and she really enjoys getting to know each child and family individually.

Ms Rita, Assistant Director Rita is our Assistant Director of Education. She began with The Goddard School as a Preschool Teacher in 2010 and was then promoted to our administration team to share her talents with the entire school. Rita received her degree in Education and Early Childhood Education Administration from Ashford University. Her experiences includes over 25 years of teaching infants through school-age children in military early childhood education and public school environments. She has had the opportunity to teach here in the US and in Italy. She believes that a child-centered learning environment promotes the very best educational experience for children.

Ms Quiyosha, Lead Teacher Quiyosha is an Assistant Teacher in our youngest infant classroom. She is currently working on completion of her Child Development Associates Certificate (CDA) Quiyosha has worked with young children infants through school age since 2012. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing and driving around. Quiyosha believes children are the future and she wants to help them be their best to make the world better.

Ms Stacey, Lead Teacher Stacey is a Co-Teacher in one of our Infant classrooms. She received her Bachelor's degree from Auburn University. She enjoys reading and spending time at the lake with her family. Stacey believes each child is unique in their own way. She is a positive influence on the infants, encouraging them and loving them to help them achieve their goals and develop positive self-esteem.

Ms Dee Dee, Lead Teacher Dee Dee is a Co-Teacher in our infant classroom. She received her degree in Mathematics and Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her experience includes working with infants through school-aged children in private preschool and public school settings, as well as working as a private nanny since 1997. In her spare time, Dee Dee enjoys spending time with her 4 daughters and her grandson, Braeden. She also loves cheering for the Titans and watching old movies on TCM. She believes that each child is unique and learns in his or her own way.

Ms Stephanie, Lead Teacher Stephanie is an Assistant Teacher in our mobile Infant Class. Stephanie has worked with preschool age children since 2010. She operated a family child care in Mississippi before moving to the area. Stephanie believes that what is best for children is to provide a loving, fun, safe and consistent environment that is packed with activities to keep the children engaged.

Ms Cadi , Lead Teacher Cadi is an Interim Teacher in one of our Young Toddler classrooms. Cadi has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Behavioral Sciences. She has worked with young children of all ages and those with special needs since 2013. In her spare time, Cadi enjoys kayaking, playing softball and watching movies. Cadi's early childhood philosophy is that each child has their own strengths and personalities. She wants her teaching to reflect each child's differences.

Ms Darian, Lead Teacher Darian is a Co-Teacher in one of our toddler classrooms. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education from Santa Fe College. She has worked with young children since 2013. In her spare time, Darian enjoys exploring Tennessee and baking. Her education philosophy is to be understanding with the children as all children are different. She believes hands on activities and being outdoors is beneficial to children.

Ms Elissa, Lead Teacher Elissa is a Co-Teacher in one of our First Steps classrooms. She has professional experience with children both typically developing and with special needs since 2013. She has a Master's Degree in Exercise Science and Chronic Disease. In her spare time, she loves being outside, hiking, anything to do with the water and spending time with family and friends. She believes we need to help children learn and develop many life skills in a variety of ways and cater to each child’s different learning styles.

Ms Rebekah, Lead Teacher Rebekah is a Co-teacher in one of our First Steps classrooms. Rebekah has her Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in education from Concordia University in California. She has been working with young children professionally since 2000. Rebekah strives to ensure every child's needs are fulfilled and wants to provide a nurturing learning environment by collaborating with parents.

Ms Keri, Lead Teacher Keri is a Co-Teacher in one of our Get Set Classrooms. Keri has a Bachelor's degree in education from Freed-Hardeman University. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her husband and cats. Keri believes every child deserves to be nurtured and taught on an individual basis. Children will learn best when they are in a safe, respecting and loving environment.

Ms Laura , Lead Teacher Laura is a Co-Teacher in our toddler classrooms. She received her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbia State. She has been working with young children professionally in home and preschool settings since 2008. She enjoys crafts and spending time with her family in her spare time. Laura believes that every child deserves to feel safe and loved. Every child learns and develops a their own pace. She strives to fill each child's day with fun learning activities that are both challenging and achievable.

Ms Keylee, Lead Teacher Keylee is a Co-Teacher in one of our Get Set classrooms. She has her Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) and is currently working towards her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Keylee has worked with young children ages infant through 7 years since 2015. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, drawing and yoga. Keylee believes children learn best when they are encouraged to explore and positively redirected. She teachers with love and education.

Ms Lisa, Lead Teacher Lisa is a Co-Teacher in one of our Get Set classrooms. She received her degree in Liberal Arts from Raritan Valley Community College in New Jersey. Her experience includes working with preschool through school-aged children as a Girl Scout Leader and in community preschool settings since 2007. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending quality time with her two kids, running, and volunteering. She loves providing a positive environment where children can grow and thrive.

Ms Lauren, Lead Teacher Lauren is a Co-Teacher in one of our young Get Set classrooms. She has a Bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Early Childhood and Music Education. Lauren has worked with Preschool through teen aged children since 2010. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, video games and hiking. Lauren believes that all children require a safe, nurturing and fun environment to grow, learn and thrive. She strives to provide all children opportunities to learn about themselves, their peers and the world around them through exploration, discovery, and play.

Ms Brianna , Lead Teacher Brianna is an Interim Teacher serving in one of our Preschool Classrooms. Brianna has a Bachelor's Degree in Family and Consumer Science with a concentration in Human Development and Family Studies. She has worked with young children ages infant through Preschool age children since 2013. Brianna believes what is instilled in a child at an early age will carry with them throughout their lives. She wants to be a positive role model and impact the social, cognitive and emotional development of children.

Ms Danica, Lead Teacher Danica is a Co-Teacher in one of our Preschool Classrooms. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a minor in Child Development and Family Studies. Danica has worked with infants through school age children in Early Learning Centers and with the Boys and Girls Club since 2013. In her spare time, Danica enjoys shopping and going to a pool. She believes children learn best when they do not realize they are learning.

Ms Elizabeth, Lead Teacher Lizzy is a Co-Teacher on one of our Preschool classrooms. She has an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Midlands Technical College in South Carolina. She has been working with young children preschool through elementary ages since 2016. In her spare time, Lizzy enjoys reading and crafts. Her philosophy on working with young children is to build a good relationship and amazing communication. This will help the children feel safe and welcome in the class. It will also help the parents feel comfortable. With everyone ready to communicate we can focus on the most important part, the child!

Ms Rebecca , Lead Teacher Rebecca is a Co-Teacher in one of our Get Set classrooms. Rebecca has a Bachelor's degree in University Studies with an emphasis on education classes. She has worked with both typically developing and special needs children ages infants through school age since 2012. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys being with family, playing with her puppy and working out. Rebecca's education philosophy is each one teach one from the book Push. She feels we can learn from the children just as much as they can learn from us.

Marian has been working with infants through preschool age children since 2015. In her spare time, she enjoys going out to eat and watching movies. Marian wants to make a difference in children’s lives. Her goal is to make sure they learn in a fun and loving environment.

Ms Stacie, Lead Teacher Stacie is a Co-Teacher in one of our preschool classrooms. She received her CDA from the Cortland, New York Child Care Council. She has worked with ages infant through 10 year olds since 1998. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and doing crafts. Stacie believes children are more excited and learn more when they can use all their senses and really get involved in what they are doing.

Ms Elaine , Lead Teacher Elaine is a Co-Teacher in our preschool program. She received her degree from the University of Illinois. She has been working with preschool age children in settings similar to ours since 2009. In her spare time, Elaine enjoys camping, hiking, trying new restaurants and doing crafts. Elaine believes in helping children develop their independence by teaching communication skills and encouraging their interests and hobbies.

Ms Sarah, Lead Teacher Sarah is a Co-Teacher in one of our Pre-K classrooms. She has a Bachelor's degree in Child Development from Harding University. Sarah has been working with young children since 2010 in home, camp and preschool settings. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys relaxing with her husband watching movies and reading. She believes that young children ought to play often. Children should be loved and encouraged to be the best they can be.

Mr Brian, Lead Teacher Brian is a Co-Teacher in one of our Pre-K classrooms. He received his Elementary Education degree from Middle Tennessee State University. His experience includes working with infants through school-aged children in private preschool and public schools since 2001. In his spare time, Brian enjoys singing in his church choir, bowling, coaching basketball, reading, and watching sports. He believes that you should always give your very best, and hopes to instill that same drive in his students.

Ms Wanda, Lead Teacher Wanda is one of our Pre-K teachers. She has a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University. She has worked with children ages preschool through high school since 2009. In her spare time, Wanda enjoys reading, hiking, biking, baking, gardening, rescuing cats and British television. Wanda believes children are bundles of potential and need opportunities to gain autonomy, confidence and independence. Giving them choices, supporting a growth mindset and promoting their curiosity will help them blossom and become life long learners.

Ms Glenna, Lead Teacher Glenna is a Co-Teacher in one of our Pre-K classrooms. She has worked with young children in home and elementary settings since 2012. Glenna loves spending time with her family and enjoys reading and traveling. She believes play based learning is most important. She hopes to give children a lifelong love of learning through everyday hands on experiences.

Ms Kelly, Lead Teacher Kelly is a Co-Teacher in one of our Pre-K5 classrooms. Kelly has an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Alabama. She has worked with infants through preschool age children in an early childhood setting since 2013. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys being outside hiking and walking her dog. She strives to help young children learn and grow. She wants young children to have fun while they are learning. Kelly works her best at helping each child and works on having a relationship with each child and parent.

Ms Laura, Lead Teacher Laura is a Co-Teacher in our oldest Pre-K5 classroom. She received her degree in Secondary Education and E.S.L. from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. Her experience includes working with toddlers through school-aged children in preschool, public school and after-school program settings since 2005. In her spare time, Laura enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family. She believes in treating all students as individuals and allowing them to learn at their own pace.

Marianne has worked with young children ages infant through school age since 2003. In her spare time, Marianne enjoys reading, hiking, crafts and gardening. She believes teachers should allow child-directed activities and model and encourage exploration and learning. Most importantly joy and the ability to recall what it is like to be a child!

Ms Jillian, Assistant Teacher Jillian is assisting in our youngest infant class this summer. She is a student at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville studying Child and Family Studies. She has worked with toddler and preschool age children since 2017. In her spare time, she enjoys music, photography and art. Jillian's early childhood philosophy is that it is important to encourage children to explore their strengths and interests while also making sure they are achieving the necessary developmental milestones.

Mr Andy, Resource Andy is a member of our Support Faculty assisting where needed throughout the school. Andy has taken coursework at Columbia State and has worked with young children infants through school age since 2015. In his spare time, he is a huge sports fan. Andy believes in helping bring out the best in each individual child.

Ms Anne, Resource Anne is a member of our Support Faculty team. She has an Associate's degree in Early Childhood. Anne has worked in the Early Childhood field with infants and toddlers since 1998. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding and card games. Anne believes that education is a partnership and I want to be a good role model for the children

Ms Carrie, Resource Carrie is an Interim Teacher for our school. Carrie has taken Early Childhood classes at Motlow Community College. She has worked with infants through school age children since 1996. She has also been a Child Care Director. She believes that as a teacher her responsibility is to figure out how a child learns and facilitate that style. Listening, understanding and guiding are the three principles she uses with children.

Ms Jane, Resource Jane is a member of our Support Faculty Team. She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Jane has worked with young children ages infant through preschool in home and school settings. In her spare time, Jane enjoys reading and outdoor activities. Jane believes the key aspect within working with young children is establishing love, warmth, and kindness.

Ms Lisa, Resource Lisa is an Interim Teacher working in all classrooms filling in for vacations and scheduled times off. Lisa has an Associates degree in Human Services from the College of St. Joseph. She has over 20 years experience working with young children ages infant through school age. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys swimming, hiking and camping. She believes all children have their own special qualities. Each child deserves patience, respect and guidance to learn and grow.

Ms Michelle , Resource Michelle is our Administrative Support Faculty. She received her degree in Early Childhood Education from Laguardia Community College in New York. She has spent over 13 years working in early childhood settings. She has been a Girl Scout Leader and member for over 35 years. Michelle believes every child can learn if given the opportunity to express themselves in a safe and nurturing environment.

Ms Pam, Resource Pam is a member of our Support Faculty. Pam completed Early Childhood Education credits at Sierra College in California for a childhood credential permit. She has over 15 years experience working with children from infancy through school age. She loves to nurture and encourage children to achieve their best potential.

Ms Robin, Resource Robin is an Interim Teacher working in all classrooms filling in for vacations and scheduled times off. Robin has a Bachelor's degree in Child Life and Family Studies from Union University. She has worked with preschool age children in camp and church settings since 2015. In her spare time, Robin enjoys photography, cooking, art and going hiking with her husband and two puppies. Robin believes children learn best through hands on experiences and is the teacher's role to provide their students with many different opportunities to learn and explore the world.
