Ms Sue, Owner I am so pleased to be the Owner of The Goddard School located in Franklin(Cool Springs)! My husband, Neil, my son, Tyler, and I have lived in Franklin since 2005 and we absolutely love it. I graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. After 16 years of corporate business experience I am very happy to be a business owner. I know that I have the best "job" in the world. I love the children and am dedicated to providing THE BEST environment for them and their families every day. Education, Love, and Customer Service are my focus.

Ms Juanita, Director Juanita is our Director of Operations. She began with The Goddard School as a Preschool Teacher in 2010 and was promoted to our administration team in 2011. Juanita received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Belmont University. Her experience includes over fifteen years working with three to five year old children in preschool settings both in the United States and overseas. During the five years she spent teaching in Germany, she was also a preschool director. Communication with families is of utmost importance to her and she really enjoys getting to know each child and family individually.

Ms Rita, Director Rita is our Director of Education. She began with The Goddard School as a Preschool Teacher in 2010 and was then promoted to our administration team to share her talents with the entire school. Rita received her degree in Education and Early Childhood Education Administration from Ashford University. Her experiences includes over 25 years of teaching infants through school-age children in military early childhood education and public school environments. She has had the opportunity to teach here in the US and in Italy. She believes that a child-centered learning environment promotes the very best educational experience for children.

Ms Laura , Assistant Director Laura is our Operations Coordinator. She received her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Columbia State. She has been working with young children professionally in home and preschool settings since 2008. She enjoys crafts and spending time with her family in her spare time. Laura believes that every child deserves to feel safe and loved. Every child learns and develops a their own pace. She strives to fill each child's day with fun learning activities that are both challenging and achievable.

Ms Stacie, Assistant Director Stacie is HR Coordinator. She has her Associates in Health Information and Child Development Associates(CDA). Her experience includes working with ages infant through 10 year olds and administration since 1998. In her spare time, Stacie enjoys spending time with her family, reading and doing crafts. Stacie believes children are more excited and learn more when they can use all their senses and really get involved in what they are doing.

Ms Angel, Lead Teacher Angel is a Co-Teacher in our Infant program. She has a Bachelor's in Psychology from Tennessee Tech University. Her experience includes working with Infants through school age children since 2016. In her spare time, Angel enjoys traveling, playing Volleyball and shopping. She believes that children learn best when they have an opportunity to express themselves, on their own terms with positive guidance. Children need to play and explore in-order to grow to their full potential.

Ms Stacey, Lead Teacher Stacey is a Co-Teacher in our Infant program. She has a Bachelor's degree from Auburn University. Her experience includes working with infants since 2015. In her spare time, Stacey enjoys reading and spending time at the lake with her family. Stacey believes each child is unique in their own way. She is a positive influence on the infants, encouraging them and loving them to help them achieve their goals and develop positive self-esteem.

Ms Dee Dee, Lead Teacher Dee Dee is a Co-Teacher in our Infant progam. She has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her experience includes working with infants through school-aged children in private preschool and public school settings, as well as working as a private nanny since 1997. In her spare time, Dee Dee enjoys spending time with her 4 daughters and her grandson, Braeden. She also loves cheering for the Titans and watching old movies on TCM. She believes that each child is unique and learns in his or her own way.

Ms Jennifer, Lead Teacher Jennifer is an Assistant Teacher in our Infant program. She is working on her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Liberty University. Jennifer has been working with young children since 2014. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family. She loves movies, road trips and relaxing. Jennifer believes that students should be provided a safe and inviting environment where they can be free to express themselves and expand their knowledge.

Ms Elissa, Lead Teacher Elissa is a Co-Teacher in our First Steps program. She has professional experience with children both typically developing and with special needs since 2013. She has a Master's Degree in Exercise Science and Chronic Disease. In her spare time, Elissa loves being outside, hiking, anything to do with the water and spending time with family and friends. She believes we need to help children learn and develop many life skills in a variety of ways and cater to each child’s different learning styles.

Ms Maria, Lead Teacher Maria is a Co-Teacher in our First Steps program. Her experience includes working with Infants through school age children since 2015. Maria also has experience working with families and children with special needs. In her spare time, Maria enjoys attending Predators games, photography, hiking, puzzles and spending time with her Husband and their two dogs. Maria believes if we provide everything a child needs and are always there for them they will succeed in all areas of life!

Ms Sam, Lead Teacher Sam is a Co-Teacher in our Toddler program. She has a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Middle Tennessee State University. Sam has worked with children ages infant through preschool since 2017. In her spare time she enjoys reading and collecting books. Sam believes in making learning fun for the children.

Letitia, Lead Teacher Ms. Letitia is a Co-Teacher in our First Steps program. She has a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tennessee Tech. Letitia is currently going to school for her Master's. Her work experience includes working with young children in a classroom setting since 2016. In Letitia's spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter. She believes working with children has taught her to slow down and enjoy the little things. Letitia feels children need guidance in the right direction, as they are the future.

Ms Quiyosha, Lead Teacher Quiyosha is an Assistant Teacher in our First Steps program. She is currently working on completing her Child Development Associates Certificate (CDA). Quiyosha's work experience includes working with infants through school age children since 2012. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing and driving around. Quiyosha believes children are the future and she wants to help them be their best to make the world better.

Ms Lisa, Lead Teacher Lisa is a Co-Teacher in our Get Set program. She has a degree in Liberal Arts from Raritan Valley Community College in New Jersey. Her experience includes working with preschool through school-aged children as a Girl Scout Leader and in community preschool settings since 2007. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending quality time with her two kids, running, and volunteering. She loves providing a positive environment where children can grow and thrive.

Ms Lauren, Lead Teacher Lauren is a Co-Teacher in our Get Set program. She has a Bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Early Childhood and Music Education. Lauren's experience includess working with Preschool through teen aged children since 2010. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, video games and hiking. Lauren believes that all children require a safe, nurturing and fun environment to grow, learn and thrive. She strives to provide all children opportunities to learn about themselves, their peers and the world around them through exploration, discovery, and play.

Ms Lisa, Lead Teacher Lisa is a Co-Teacher in our Get Set program. Lisa has an Associates degree in Human Services from the College of St. Joseph. Her experience includes working with infant through school age children for over 20 years. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys swimming, hiking and camping. She believes all children have their own special qualities. Each child deserves patience, respect and guidance to learn and grow.

Ms Danica, Lead Teacher Danica is a Co-Teacher in our Preschool program. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a minor in Child Development and Family Studies. Danica's experience includes working with infants through school age children in Early Learning Centers and with the Boys and Girls Club since 2013. In her spare time, Danica enjoys shopping and going to the pool. She believes children learn best when they do not realize they are learning.

Tracy, Lead Teacher Tracy is a Co-Teacher in our Preschool program. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. Tracy's experience includes working with children in a professional setting since 2001. In her spare time, Tracy enjoys traveling, watching movies and going to the zoo with her husband Anthony and their two children Travis and Jeneve. She believe that every child is a unique individual who deserves a secure and compassionate environment in which to grow and develop intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally. One of my hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students, as I share my own passion for learning with them. In my opinion, building caring and respectful bonds with children and their families is the fundamental foundation of a successful early childhood education experience for students.

Ms Elizabeth, Lead Teacher Lizzy is a Co-Teacher in our Get Set program. She has an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Midlands Technical College in South Carolina. Her experience includes working with young children preschool through elementary ages since 2016. In her spare time, Lizzy enjoys reading and crafts. Her philosophy is to build a good relationship and amazing communication. This will help the children feel safe and welcome in the class. It will also help the parents feel comfortable. With everyone ready to communicate we can focus on the most important part, the child!

Ms Amy, Lead Teacher Amy is a Co-Teacher in our Preschool program, She has a Bachelor's from The University of Tennessee. Amy's experience includes working with children in a private sector as a Nanny since 2008 and with the Nashville Zoo as an educator. In her spare time she enjoys hiking in her home town of Gatlinburg, biking, experiencing Nashville and spending time with her pug, Gracie. Amy believes that every child is important. She wants every child to feel special, valued and loved. Amy also wants to inspire children to explore our incredible planet and get them excited about new/unknown places and things.

Ms Marian, Lead Teacher Marian is a Co-Teacher in our Preschool program. She has a Bachelor's degree in Child Development and Family Studies from Middle Tennessee State University. Marian's experience includes working with infants through preschool age children since 2015. In her spare time, she enjoys going out to eat and watching movies. Marian wants to make a difference in children’s lives. Her goal is to make sure they learn in a fun and loving environment.

Ms Elaine , Lead Teacher Elaine is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K program. She has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois. Her experience includes working with preschool age children in settings similar to ours since 2009. In her spare time, Elaine enjoys camping, hiking, trying new restaurants and doing crafts. Elaine believes in helping children develop their independence by teaching communication skills and encouraging their interests and hobbies.

Ms Sarah, Lead Teacher Sarah is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K program. She has a Bachelor's degree in Child Development from Harding University. Sarah's experience includes working with young children in camp and preschool settings since 2010. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys relaxing with her husband watching movies and reading. She believes that young children ought to play often. Children should be loved and encouraged to be the best they can be.

Mr Brian, Lead Teacher Brian is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K program. He has an Elementary Education degree from Middle Tennessee State University. His experience includes working with infants through school-aged children in private preschool and public schools since 2001. In his spare time, Brian enjoys singing in his church choir, bowling, coaching basketball, reading, and watching sports. He believes that you should always give your very best, and hopes to instill that same drive in his students.

Ms Wanda, Lead Teacher Wanda is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K program. She has a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle Tennessee State University. Her experience includes working with children ages preschool through high school since 2009. In her spare time, Wanda enjoys reading, hiking, biking, baking, gardening, rescuing cats and British television. Wanda believes children are bundles of potential and need opportunities to gain autonomy, confidence and independence. Giving them choices, supporting a growth mindset and promoting their curiosity will help them blossom and become life long learners.

Kelli, Lead Teacher Kelli is a Co-Teacher in our Pre-K program. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from The University Of Tennessee-Martin. Her experience includes working with preschool through school age children since 2003. In her spare time, Kelli enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She believes children learn best through play and experience. Kelli believes its important to prepare children for their next stage of development.

Her experience includes working with infants through preschool age children in an early childhood setting since 2013. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys being outside hiking and walking her dog. She strives to help young children learn and grow. She wants young children to have fun while they are learning. Kelly works her best at helping each child and works on having a relationship with each child and parent.

Her experience includes working with toddlers through school-aged children in preschool, public school and after-school program settings since 2005. In her spare time, Laura enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family. She believes in treating all students as individuals and allowing them to learn at their own pace.

She believes teachers should allow child-directed activities, model and encourage exploration and learning. Most importantly she believes there should be joy and the ability to recall what it is like to be a child!

Mr Andy, Resource Andy is a member of our Support Faculty. He is a student studying Early Childhood Education at Columbia State. Andy's experience includes working with young children infants through school age since 2015. In his spare time, he is a huge sports fan. Andy believes in helping bring out the best in each individual child.

Anjellica, Resource Anjellica is an Interim Teacher for our school. She has a Bachelors of Social Work from Lipscomb University. Anjellicsa's experience includes working with preschool through school age children since 2014. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and hanging out at the lake. Anjellica believes that in order for a child to achieve their goals you must help them grow and develop.

Anne's experience includes working with infants and toddlers in Early Childhood settings since 1998. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding and card games. Anne believes that education is a partnership and she wants to be a good role model for the children.

Ms Carrie, Resource Carrie is an Assistant Teacher in our mobile infant classroom. Carrie has taken Early Childhood classes at Motlow Community College. Her experience includes working with infants through school age children and in administration since 1996. Carrie believes her responsibility is to figure out how a child learns and facilitate that style. Listening, understanding and guiding are the three principles she uses with children.

Jane's experience includes working with young children ages infant through preschool in home and school settings since 2015. In her spare time, Jane enjoys reading and outdoor activities. She believes the key aspect with working with young children is establishing love, warmth, and kindness.

Ms Michelle , Resource Michelle is our Administrative Support Faculty. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education from Laguardia Community College in New York. Michelle's experience includes working in early childhood settings since 2002. She has been a Girl Scout Leader and member for over 35 years. Michelle believes every child can learn if given the opportunity to express themselves in a safe and nurturing environment.

Ms Pam, Resource Pam is a member of our Support Faculty. Pam completed Early Childhood Education credits at Sierra College in California for a childhood credential permit. Her experience includes working with infants through school age children since 2005. In her spare time, Pam enjoys reading, camping, skiing and watching movies. She loves to nurture and encourage children to achieve their best potential.

Ms Regan, Resource Regan is an Interim Teacher for our school. She is working on her Masters degree in Education at Middle Tennessee State University. Regan has worked with young children from infants through preschool ages since 2012. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, biking, writing and spending time with family. Regan believes children deserve to be loved, protected, and encouraged. She believes her job as a caregiver is to provide children with an environment that meets their needs and challenges them to grow on a daily basis.
