Mr Robert, Owner Mr. Robert, as the children call him, is the on-site owner of The Goddard School of Avon® that he opened in January 2009. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Marine Science from Hawaii Pacific University. Robert worked towards his Master’s in Environmental Education while teaching high school science after which he joined the corporate world for over ten years. He saw a growing need in the area for a quality preschool and loved the idea of being able to provide the children and parents in his community with a loving and nurturing environment to grow and learn. As the on-site owner, Robert would like to extend an invitation to visit him at his beautiful school, introduce you to his eager, caring professionals and tell you all about the Goddard approach to learning.

Ms Sami, Director Ms. Sami is the Director for The Goddard School of Avon®. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development from American Military University and came to us in October 2013 as a Toddler teacher. Ms. Sami also has experience as an office manager, as well as a HR manager while serving in the Indiana Army National Guard since 2008. Ms. Sami oversees the day to day functionality of our program and ensures our staff is consistently meeting or exceeding the standards set by Goddard Systems. She is passionate about creating a strong foundation of learning for all children and believes in the importance of quality relationships in these critical developmental years.

Ms Anna, Lead Teacher INFANTS (Adorable Angelfish) - Ms. Anna has over three years of experience working with young children and is currently working towards her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin. She joined The Goddard School of Avon® in January 2018 and has since had training’s in Indiana Foundations, Domains of Child Development and Safe Sleep. Ms. Anna has a passion for teaching because "it is rewarding being given the opportunity to teach young children and help shape them into amazing young people!"

Ms Samantha , Lead Teacher FIRST STEPS / 12-18 Months (Super Starfish) - Ms. Sam has over seven years of experience working with young children and has a Bachelor's in Child, Adult and Family Services from Iowa State University. She joined The Goddard School of Avon® in May 2015 and has since had training’s in CPR/First Aid, Safe Sleep, Nurturing Connections with Families and Infant/Toddler Interactions. Ms. Sam's passion for teaching is "being able to watch the children grow and learn knowing that I was part of something I love!"

Ms Taylor, Lead Teacher YOUNG TODDLERS / 18-24 Months (Silly Seahorses) - Ms. Taylor has over 6 years of experience working with young children through babysitting, volunteering at the Boys & Girls Club and being actively involved with Best Buddies! She joined The Goddard School of Avon® in September 2016 and has her Child Development Associate specializing in Toddlers. Ms. Taylor believes that “the best part of teaching children is not what you teach them, but what they teach you!”

Ms Tabatha, Lead Teacher OLDER TODDLERS / Younger 2's (Jolly Jellyfish) - Ms. Tabby has over 12 years of experience working with children and is currently in the process of obtaining her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ivy Tech. She joined The Goddard School of Avon® in January 2018 and has since had training’s in Health & Safety, Responding to Emergencies, Safe Sleep and Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention and Detection. Ms. Tabby's passion for teaching is "working with children in all aspects takes me out of everyday concerns as an adult and places me into the mind of the child. It is pure joy to watch a child learn or overcome an obstacle in the development!"

Ms Vanessa, Lead Teacher GET SET / Older 2's (Curious Crabs) - Ms. Vanessa has over 8 years of experience working with young children and has her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ivy Tech Community College as well as her Child Development Associate. She joined The Goddard School of Avon® in November 2015 and has since had training’s in CPR/First Aid, Ages and Stages Assessment Tool, Safe Sleep and Professionalism. Ms. Vanessa loves “watching the children learn and grow every day while being part of changing children’s lives!”

Ms Rachel , Lead Teacher PRESCHOOL I / Younger 3's (Terrific Turtles) - Ms. Rachel has over 15 years of experience working with young children and has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ivy Tech and is currently working towards her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She joined The Goddard School of Avon® in April 2018 and has since had training’s in Safe Sleep, Nurturing Connections with Families, Nurturing Positive Environments and Preschool Interactions. Ms. Rachel's passion for teaching is "knowing I get a chance to mold the future in a positive way and seeing those "ah-ha" moments when a child learns something new!"

Ms Shawna, Lead Teacher PRESCHOOL II / Older 3's (Daring Dolphins) - Ms. Shawna has over 12 years of experience working with young children as well as Child Development Associate specializing in Preschool. She joined The Goddard School of Avon® in May 2012 and has since had training's in CPR, Safe Sleep, Ages and Stages Assessment Tool and A.L.I.C.E. Ms. Shawna’s passion for teaching comes from her love of helping children learn new things. “I love the look on their faces when they accomplish something for the first time!”

Ms Nighat, Lead Teacher PRE-K I / Younger 4's (Merry Manatees) - Ms. Nighat has over 10 years of experience working with children and has a Master’s in Education from Allama Iqbal University of Islamabad, Pakistan and her Child Development Associate specialized in Preschool. She joined the Goddard School in Avon® in the fall 2014 and has since had training’s in Ages and Stages Assessment Tools, Brain Development, Nurturing Connections with Families and Social/Emotional Development. Ms. Nighat’s passion for teaching is “if you love something, then show it!” She enjoys “making learning interesting, exciting and important while letting my students see what I am teaching applies to the world beyond the classroom!”

Ms Christina, Lead Teacher PRE-K II / Older 4's & 5's (Noble Nautili) - Ms. Christina has over 9 years of experience working with children and has a Master’s in Psychology from Government College in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. She joined the Goddard School in Avon® in the October 2015 and has since had training’s in Ages and Stages Assessment Tools, Professionalism, Nurturing Connections with Families and Social/Emotional Development. Ms. Christina’s passion for teaching is “not only for the activity of teaching, but also for the ends it serves! I have humility in knowing that I serve a purpose larger than myself. I found teaching is a calling, something we must do to feed our souls!” When asked why she chose teaching, Ms. Christina would say “I think teaching chose me!”

Ms Kelly, Lead Teacher PRE-K II / Older 4's & 5's (Noble Nautili) - Ms. Kelly has over 8 years experience working with young children and is working towards her Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis on Juvenile Crime Justice. She joined the Goddard School of Avon in the summer of 2017 and since has had training in Child Safety, Safe Sleep, Abuse & Neglect and CPR/Fist Aid. Ms. Kelly's passion for teaching comes from "helping to make the world a better place by loving and teaching future generations!"

She joined The Goddard School of Avon® in August 2018 and has since had training’s in CPR/First Aid, Health & Safety, Safe Sleep and Professionalism. Ms. Brandi loves teaching because "I am driven by a deep desire to teach and help others. I give my heart and soul to my work and to the children I teach!"

Ms Amanda, Resource Ms. Amanda has over 24 years of experience working with young children as well as her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. She joined The Goddard School of Avon® in April 2018 and has since had training’s in Indiana Foundations, Professionalism, Safe Sleep and Health & Safety Standards. Ms. Amanda has a passion for teaching because she “loves helping mold little minds to become great citizens and role models for our future!"

Ms Carol, Resource SCHOOL COOK - Ms. Carol has over 20 years of experiences working with young children as well as her Bachelor’s in Home Economics from the University of Cincinnati. She also has her Safe Serve Certification from Ohio State University. She has been a part of The Goddard School in Avon® since the school opened in January 2009 and has had training CPR/First Aid, Safe Sleep and Professionalism. Ms. Carol loves when “children want to tell me stories about their adventures at home! I also enjoy receiving hugs from the children as I walk down the hallway or when I enter the classrooms!”

She joined The Goddard School of Avon® in April 2015 and has since had training’s in CPR/First Aid, Safe Sleep, Nurturing Connections with Families and Infant/Toddler Interactions. Her love of teaching comes from “watching children grow and learn while helping with the steps they take to get there!”

Ms Jenna, Resource Ms. Jenna has over two years of experience working with young children as well as her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Georgia. She joined The Goddard School of Avon® in April 2017 and has since had training’s in Indiana Foundations, Professionalism and Health & Safety Standards. Ms. Jenna has a passion for teaching because she “loves children and the joy they bring to your life. I love seeing their faces light up at doing something new, or learning a new skill. Teaching is such a rewarding job!"
