Professional Development

Goddard School students never stop learning, and neither do Goddard School teachers. Goddard Systems University (GSU) provides ongoing, accredited professional development training to the teachers. The International Association for Continuing Education and Training has approved GSU as an authorized provider.

GSU field instructors have degrees in early childhood education and extensive experience working with children and teachers. They use their education and expertise to provide professional development in the areas of child development, health and safety, curriculum and classroom practices and other early childhood education topics.

The Goddard School gives teachers and education directors the opportunity to advance their careers while helping children develop and learn. The unique curriculum also allows teachers to be creative and spontaneous during lessons. For example, if you are teaching a lesson on the solar system but the children are fascinated by the rain outside, you may change the lesson to focus on the weather instead.
