Mr David and Allison, Owners David and Allison are thrilled to be able to provide The Goddard School’s outstanding program to the children and families in the Denver community. Their vision for opening a Goddard started with the experience of their older son whom attended two different Goddard schools. Their two younger sons both attend the school currently. They choose The Goddard School because they recognize the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment.

David earned his bachelor’s degree in Government from Connecticut College. Allison earned her business degree from the CU Boulder business school. David has worked as a child advocate within the foster care system, taught middle school, coached high school sports and worked with elementary through high school students for the past 17 years. Allison worked in the cable and satellite industry for her entire career until moving to Goddard. She has held roles in finance and data analysis, contract negotiation, marketing, and learning technology.

Christie, Director Christie is a Director at The Goddard School Highlands.

Education: Christie earned a Bachelors Degree from The University of Northern Colorado. She double majored in Business Management and Marketing with a minor in Entrepreneurship. After graduation, she continued her Early Childhood Education classes to earn both her Teaching and Directors Certificates.

Experience: Christie started teaching in a toddler classroom after graduating college. She spent three years teaching at a Goddard School before becoming part of the administrative team.

Christie's loves being able to bring her daughter, who is currently in the toddler classroom, to work with her. Christie was born and raised in Colorado. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Eileen, Director Mrs. Eileen is one of our Directors. Prior to being a director, she was a lead teacher in the Ocean preschool classroom. She has also been our Instructional Coach, working directly with all of the faculty in the school.

Education: Eileen received her bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies and her masters degree in Teaching and Learning from Colorado State University. She is qualified as an Early Childhood Lead Teacher as well as Director.

Experience: Eileen has been teaching preschool since 2014. She was a part of our original team of teachers who helped open our school in February 2017!

Eileen is passionate about shaping young minds and building strong relationships with her students and families. In her free time, Eileen likes to explore coffee shops and bookstores, spend time outside or attend concerts!

Bethany, Lead Teacher Ms. Bethany is an infant teacher in our Whoville classroom.

Education: Bethany has a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology with a minor in drawing from the University of Wyoming. While in college, she worked alongside a child Psychologist at an elementary school working with children with disabilities. Her studies focused on child psychology and development.

Experience: Bethany has worked with kids for most of her life. Her first job was babysitting. She also worked as a kindergarten instructional assistant for a year and a half.

Bethany has always been fascinated by how children grow and develop as well as the best methods to help them. She grew up in Wyoming and is excited to be in Colorado. She lives with her husband and their two amazing dogs, Kyra and Artemis. In her free time, she loves to make art, read, camp and take her dogs on hikes.

Jackie, Lead Teacher Ms. Jackie is a lead infant teacher in our Whoville classroom. She is also the Health and Safety coordinator and a part of the Leadership Team.

Education: Jackie is a certified Early Childhood Teacher as well as Early Childhood Director.

Experience: Jackie has been working the Early Childhood field for twenty years, as both a teacher and director. Recently, Jackie decided to step back from directing in order to move back into the classroom full time. She has been an Infant Nursery Supervisor at The Goddard School since November 2017.

Jackie started teaching to be a part of her own children's education. She loves seeing the children's faces light up when they discover something new. When she is not teaching, Jackie enjoys spending time with her family and running, reading and writing.

Janine Nikki, Lead Teacher Ms. Nikki is a lead teacher in our Infant classroom.

Education: Ms. Nikki has her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Colorado Northwestern. She is also Director qualified and is pursuing her bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies from CU Denver.

Experience: Ms. Nikki has worked with students since she was in high school. She's been working with infants and toddlers ever since!

Ms. Nikki is passionate about mental health and emotional awareness and teaching those concepts to her young learners.

Alexis, Lead Teacher Alexis is a lead toddler teacher in our Woods classroom. Alexis is also the Curriculum and Enrichment Specialist and a part of the leadership team. She helps to plan enrichment programs and assists teachers in every classroom with curriculum.

Education: Alexis graduated from the Metropolitan State University at Denver with a major in Human Development, focusing on Early Childhood Development. Alexis is also Director Qualified.

Experience: Alexis has worked with children from 6 weeks old to 3rd grade students, although the majority of her time has been spent with one year olds. She has been teaching at The Goddard School since April 2017 and has more than seven years of teaching experience.

Alexis comes from a family of teachers and believes that she found a natural talent and earnest desire to be in the preschool classroom. In her free time, Alexis reads and enjoys photography. She enjoys hiking with her dog Melee to look for the perfect spot to photograph.

Laurie, Lead Teacher Ms. Laurie is a lead toddler teacher in the Sky classroom.

Education: Laurie holds a Bachelors Degree in Theater, with a minor in Art. In 2010, she went back to school for Early Childhood Education and received her Directors Certificate in ECE.

Experience: Laurie has worked in an Early Childhood setting since 2010 with children between the ages of 1 and 3. She also works with school aged children in professional theater though the Arvada center for the arts.

In her spare time, she spends time paddle boarding with her husband and dogs Hambone and Barro. She is also a published playwright and children's illustrator and a free lance artist.

Makayla, Lead Teacher Ms. Makayla is an Assistant toddler teacher in our Sky toddler classroom.

Education: Ms. Makayla has a degree in Social Justice and Intercultural Studies/Anthropology.

Experience: Ms. Makayla has been working with kids for years, first starting as a babysitter and then through volunteer work overseas in Guatemala and Jamaica.

In her free time, Ms. Makayla enjoys painting and drinking coffee.

Sarah, Lead Teacher Ms. Sarah is a lead toddler teacher in our Sky classroom.

Education: Sarah is currently attending Metro State University in Denver for a degree in elementary education. She has completed ECE courses to become a qualified lead teacher.

Experience: Sarah started at teaching at the Goddard School in June 2020. She has previously worked in a childcare faulty working with students with disabilities. She is also a dance teacher for children.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys dancing and shopping!

Elizabeth, Lead Teacher Ms. Liz is a Lead Toddler teacher in our Garden classroom.

Education: Liz has a bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado.

Experience: Liz has worked with children for more than four years. During that time, she has taught children between the ages of two and five. Liz has been teaching in the toddler classroom at The Goddard School since April 2018.

Liz loves children and has wanted to be an educator since she was in Kindergarten. In her free time, Liz likes to read and hang out with her cat Henry. She also really loves llamas, pizza and the color pink!

Isabella, Lead Teacher Ms. Izzi is an lead toddler toddler teacher in our Garden classroom.

Education: Izzi has a bachelors degree from Regis University in Music and is currently working on her Master's in Elementary Education.

Experience: Izzi has been working with kids in various capacities since 2017. Prior to coming to Goddard, she taught toddlers at another preschool.

Izzi loves to see students excitement and engagement as they are learning. She loves spending time with her students because there is always so much to learn from them! In her free time, Izzi likes to dance and perform in colorguard.

Juana, Lead Teacher Ms. Juanita is a Lead Toddler teacher in our Garden classroom.

Education: Juanita studied Early Childhood Education at the Community College of Denver.

Experience: Juanita has been teaching toddlers for more than seventeen years. She has been teaching in the Garden classroom since April 2019.

Juanita is originally from Mexico but has lived in Jefferson county for the past seventeen years.

Kayla, Lead Teacher Ms. Kayla is one of the toddler teachers in our Garden two-year-old classroom.

Education: Kayla graduated from Colorado State University in 2015 with a degree in Psychology and in Sociology. She continued her education by studying Early Childhood Education at Front Range Community College.

Experience: Kayla has more than four years of childcare teaching experience, working primarily with infants and toddlers. She helped at The Goddard School Highlands as a substitute when the school opened, then started teaching full time in June 2018.

Outside of work, Kayla enjoys working out and spending time with her friends and her cat, Polo. She also coaches color guard at her old high school.

Kelsey, Lead Teacher Ms. Kelsey is a lead toddler teacher in our Woods toddler classroom.

Education: Ms. Kelsey graduated from Wake Tech Community College in North Carolina with an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education.

Experience: Ms. Kelsey has worked with children ages 1-8 since 2015.

In her free time, Ms. Kelsey enjoys reading and hanging out with her cats!

Sydnee, Lead Teacher Mrs. Sydnee is a lead preschool teacher in our Garden classroom.

Education: Sydnee is a certified Early Childhood Teacher in the state of Colorado and is currently pursuing her Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from Regis University.

Experience: Sydnee has been working with preschool children for more than eight years. She was a part of our original team of teachers and has been teaching at The Goddard School since February 2017.

Sydnee enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughter and two dogs. Sydnee also coaches cologuard at her old High School.

Alexis, Lead Teacher Ms. Alexis is a preschool teacher in our Island classroom. Alexis is also a member of the leadership team and leads our Spanish Enrichment program. She enjoys sharing her culture and language with all of the children in our school.

Education: Alexis has completed coursework in Early Childhood Education to become qualified as lead preschool teacher.

Experience: Alexis first started working with children during college in Iowa. She was an archery instructor at a summer camp, where she worked for three summers. Teaching Spanish at a school in Oregon was Alexis' first job teaching in a school setting. Alexis has taught preschool for more than four years. She has been a teacher in the young preschool classroom at The Goddard School since September 2017.

Alexis was born and raised in Cancun, Mexico. She has lived in several states but is happy to be settled in Colorado now. In her free time, Alexis enjoys spending time in the mountains, rock climbing, and playing ultimate frisbee.

Brooklynn, Lead Teacher Ms. Brooklynn is an Assistant Preschool teacher in our Island preschool classroom.

Education: Ms. Brooklynn is planning to go to college to graduate with a degree in Early Childhood Education or Business.

Experience: Ms. Brooklynn taught with Soccer Shots over the summer with ages 2-9 year olds. She is excited to continue to learn early childhood from a classroom setting.

In her free time, Brooklynn enjoys playing soccer, weight lifting, reading and traveling.

Katie, Lead Teacher Ms. Katie is a lead preschool teacher in our Island classroom.

Education: Katie has a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in Recreation Management and Education. Katie has also taken Early Childhood Education courses.

Experience: Katie has been working with kids for more than six years.

Katie grew up on a farm in Nebraska. She loves being outdoors and up in the mountains as much as possible. In her free time, Katie also likes to play volleyball.

Meredith, Lead Teacher Ms. Meredith is a Lead Preschool Teacher in our Ocean classroom.

Education: Ms. Meredith graduated from Smith College in 2016 with a bachelors in both Math and English.

Experience: Ms. Meredith grew up babysitting and working as a camp counselor for middle school and high school students. She's worked in both after school programs and in a preschool as a lead teacher.

Ms. Meredith believes that the most important thing a teacher can be is an encouraging, safe and supportive adult in a child's life.

Monica, Lead Teacher Ms. Monica is a lead preschool teacher in our Ocean classroom.

Education: Monica has completed coursework in Early Childhood Education.

Experience: Monica has taught preschool at The Goddard School since September 2018.

Monica was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She started teaching because she believes that children are our future and whatever we implement at a young age is very important. It is rewarding to see children grow up, knowing that you were able to teach them something. In her free time, Monica likes to try new coffee shops and loves to color.

Natalia, Lead Teacher Ms. Natalia is a lead preschool teacher in our Ocean classroom.

Education: Natalia has taken courses in Early Childhood Education and is a qualified lead teacher.

Experience: Natalia taught preschool for almost a year before starting at The Goddard School in fall 2019.

Natalia is new to Denver. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, painting and working out.

Maria, Lead Teacher Ms. Lola is a preschool teacher in our Treehouse Classroom.

Education: Lola graduated Summa Cum Laude from Metropolitan State College of Denver. She majored in English with a concentration and minor in Secondary Education.

Experience: Lola has worked with children in many different capacities. She has worked with primary students in Denver Public School's Kaleidoscope before and after school program for two years. She helped run a primary school summer camp program. She has taught Middle and High School students as a Library Media Para, Technology teacher, homeroom teacher, yearbook specials teacher, and American Literature teacher. Lola has been at The Goddard School since August 2019.

Family is the most important thing to Lola. She spends most of her time hanging out with her sisters, helping her parents, and doting on her husband and son. She loves hiking, camping and cross country skiing. Lola is an avid reader and writer and is learning how to paint with watercolors.

Olivia, Lead Teacher Ms. Olivia is a Lead Preschool Teacher in our Olivia classroom.

Education: Olivia earned her bachelors degree in Applied Behavioral Science with a concentration in early childhood intervention paired with education and psychology minors from the University of Kansas.

Experience: Olivia started teaching at The Goddard School in the summer of 2020.

In her free time, Olivia enjoys adding to her plant collection, playing with her cat, and exploring outside.

Rain, Lead Teacher Ms. Rain is a Lead Preschool teacher in our Treehouse classroom.

Education: Rain has taken courses in Early Childhood Education and is a qualified lead teacher.

Experience: Rain has been teaching toddlers and preschoolers for more than four years. She came to Goddard in February 2020 and was highly recommended by several of our families from her previous center.

Rain is a Colorado native and in her free time loves to go skateboarding, to concerts, being outdoors like camping, and spending time with her family.

Chelsea, Lead Teacher Ms. Chelsea is a Lead PreK Teacher in our Castle Classroom.

Education: Chelsea has her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Metropolitan State University.

Experience: She has been teaching for more than six years. Before coming to Goddard, she had most recently taught Kindergarten. Chelsea has been teaching at The Goddard School since May 2018.

Outside of work, Chelsea's favorite things are the beach, kind people, coffee, going for walks, drawing and reading. Chelsea also has a daughter who attends The Goddard School. Together, they love watching movies in the park, picnics, exploring play places, and being outside.

Jennifer , Lead Teacher Ms. Jennifer is a lead teacher in our Castle classroom.

Education: Jennifer is currently attending Metropolitan State University where she is studying Early Childhood Education.

Experience: Jennifer has worked as a Language Arts tutor for elementary students. She has also volunteered her time to tutor ESL students during the summer. Jennifer started teaching at The Goddard School in June of 2019.

Jennifer is a 1st generation student and is very thankful for all of the amazing teachers she has had over the course of her life. They influenced her to become a teacher. In her free time, Jennifer spends time with her friends and sisters. She enjoys jogging, baking and playing Mario Cart.

Aiden, Lead Teacher Ms. Aiden is a lead teacher in the City PreK classroom.

Education: Aiden is currently attending Early Childhood courses.

Experience: Aiden began volunteering with children at a young age, helping to coordinate kids' programs at my local church. In 2018, she moved to Denver and began my career in Early Childhood Education.

Growing up with a large family gave me an affinity for children from a young age, and encouraged me to become the outgoing and dedicated educator that I am today. In my spare time, I enjoy helping out in my community and spending time with my husband and my cat. I love music, arts and crafts, and reading.

Clara, Lead Teacher Mrs. Clara is a lead pre-k teacher in our City classroom.

Education: Mrs. Clara has a bachelors degree in Educational Studies from the University of Arkansas.

Experience: Mrs. Clara began working with younger children in the infant classroom at a daycare in Texas. She was a nanny for several different families during her time in college and spent time as a School Age teacher for a summer camp.

In her free time, Clara enjoys spending time with her husband Byron and her young son, Barrett.

Matthew , Lead Teacher Mr. Matthew is a PreKindergarten teacher in our City classroom.

Education: Matthew attended Lafayette College were he majored in Environmental Studies due to an interest in helping our deteriorating planet. While in college, he took all available education courses as well, including Foundations of Education and courses related to curriculum and instruction. Matthew is currently working towards his lead teacher certification by continuing to take Early Childhood Education courses. Matthew started teaching at our school in August 2019.

Experience: Matthew first started working with children when he volunteered at the preschool he had attended as a child. He quickly realized how rewarding it is to inspire meaningful and contributive values to our next generations' youth. After graduating from college, Matthew became a Masa Israel Teaching Fellow. He taught English as a second language in Pelach Tikuah.

By becoming a teacher, Matthew is following in the footsteps of his mother, grandmother and uncle. Matthew also loves to ski, golf, cook explore the outdoors, and travel.

Rhiannon, Lead Teacher Rhi is a lead PreKindergarten teacher in the City classroom.

Education: Rhi is currently studying Early Childhood Education at Front Range Community College.

Experience: Rhi has worked with children ages six months to 13 years old, primarily with four and five year olds. She PreK taught at a Goddard School for two years prior to coming to our school.

Rhi started teaching because she was curious how a child's mind works, how they think and process differently than an adult. She is getting married this spring to her high school sweetheart.

Jamie, Assistant Teacher Ms. Jamie is a teacher in our Whoville Infant classroom.

Education: Jamie recently moved to Colorado from South Carolina where she was studying Chemical Engineering. She is taking a break from her degree while she reconsiders where she wants to go with her life.

Experience: Jamie has been teaching since she was in High School. She watched her first group of kids from the time they were two until they were eight-year-olds in elementary school. Jamie has also worked as a nanny for three children and was a camp counselor for an engineering camp.

In her free time, Jamie loves going outside. Her hobbies include backpacking, climbing and hiking.

Hannah, Assistant Teacher Ms. Hannah is a Preschool teacher in our Treehouse classroom.

Experience: Hannah has been working with kids since 2017. She has nannied and has been a preschool teacher for more than three years.

Hannah is the youngest in her family of five. She loves to be outside when its warm, playing disk golf, hanging out with her family for a BBQ, and being with her friends. She also loves to binge watch Grey's Anatomy when she can snuggle up with her dog Kubo!

Kyanna, Assistant Teacher Ms. Kyanna is an assistant teacher, currently helping in our Treehouse preschool classroom.

Education: Kyanna is currently in her senior year of High School.

Experience: Kyanna started teaching at Goddard in November 2020. She has been teaching young children in her church nursery school for many years.
