New Goddard School in Carol Stream Now Open

January  14, 2019 / From Educators to Entreprenues, Local Couple Open a Preschool

Martin and Majlinda Gjini, owners of the newest The Goddard School located in Carol Stream, spent more than 10 years dedicated to teaching math in public and private schools.

As parents of two daughters and as educators, Martin and Majlinda felt it was important to find a franchise where they could help highlight their passions for teaching while educating future leaders starting at a young age.

Now, they’re bringing the newest Goddard School to the area to meet the demand for early childhood education options in the rapidly growing neighborhood.

“I don’t consider this to be a change in careers; it’s more of an enhancement of my years as a teacher,” Martin said. “My wife and I believe that in today’s world, children need, more than ever, the social skills necessary to become successful later in life. They need guidance to properly channel their talent, interest and passion. That’s why we decided to open The Goddard School located in Carol Stream, IL.”

The preschool, located at 502 S. Schmale Road, officially opened on Monday, Jan. 7. The 9,300-square-foot preschool will serve up to 140 children ages six weeks to six years old with its unique play-based learning curriculum and offer several enrichment programs such as yoga, sign language, Spanish and chess.

At capacity, the school will employ 26 faculty members.

The Goddard School’s play-based F.L.EX.® Learning Program (Fun Learning Experience) is grounded in research on how children learn best: children experience the deepest, most genuine learning when they are having fun. The focus is on building each child’s emotional, academic, social, creative and physical skills to provide a well-rounded experience and ensure each one becomes confident, joyful and fully prepared in school and in life.

The preschool will be open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
