The Goddard School, an early childhood education center, in Carol Stream, is seeking qualified Assistant Teachers.
The Goddard School is a renowned program with a Piaget (Learning through Play) based foundation and an owner-operated premier preschool that continues to set the standard for excellence. The focus of the program is to provide a life-long love of learning. Our staff is made of loving and dedicated teachers who understand each child's needs. They are highly qualified childhood educators who can use their creativity and the Goddard Developmental Guidelines as the basis for unique lesson plans that are brought to life in a fun and imaginative way.
We are looking for fun and energetic individuals who are looking to gain more experience in their career as an educational professional and love working with others as a team.
Daily Responsibilities
Assistant Teachers assist the Lead Teacher with the below-noted responsibilities:
• Developing innovative and engaging lesson plans that abide by Goddard standards
• Meeting the individual needs of the children
• Effectively and professionally communicating with Parents and fellow staff members
• Participating in staff meetings and training events
• Leading and setting the tone for a developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
• Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level
• Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem, intellectual stimulation, and social skills
• Building teamwork
• Using computer-based and written assessment tools
• Committing to continuing education and staying current on the latest early childhood practices

Minimum Assistant Teacher Qualifications:

The Goddard School, an early childhood education center, located in Caro Stream, IL is currently seeking qualified Lead Teacher to join our team.
The Goddard School is a renowned program with a Piaget (Learning through Play) based foundation and an owner-operated premier preschool that continues to set the standard for excellence. The focus of the program is to provide a life-long love of learning. Our staff is made of loving and dedicated teachers who understand each child's needs. They are highly qualified childhood educators who can use their creativity and the Goddard Developmental Guidelines as the basis for unique lesson plans that are brought to life in a fun and imaginative way.
We are looking for caring, loving individuals who have a degree in a child education-related field PLUS one to two years' work experience in early childhood education. We prefer dedicated teachers with prior early childhood experience, strong communication and computer skills.. This includes experience in lesson planning, classroom management, and a profound awareness of the needs of our youngest learners. The ideal candidate will be an educator with a nurturing spirit who is committed to supporting all aspects of a child's growth and development.

• Lead Teachers write and implement their own lesson plans based on Goddard Developmental Guidelines and regularly changing school themes
• Most importantly, they create a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning

Minimum Lead Teacher Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or related field is Preferred
• Associate Degree in ECE with one year experience
• Completion of CDA
