Mrs Amber, Owner Ms. Amber is the original owner of the 14 year old Goddard School in Forest Hill, Md. She has three young adult children, a son-in-love and a grandchild who is enrolled at The Goddard School in Middle River, where her husband Dave is the owner on site. She met her husband of 28 years at Gettysburg College where she majored in English and Elementary Education. She immediately started to pursue her master’s Degree in Reading at Towson University as she taught 3rd grade in Oxford, PA. She dreamed of opening her own school which began with the education of her own children and developed into the three Goddard schools that she and her husband now oversee. The theme of the Forest Hill Goddard is the “Joy of Reading” and Ms. Amber seeks to instill her love of reading through a phonic rich curriculum and by personally reading out loud to classes as she encourages parents and grandparents of students to do the same. She strives each year to provide a solid foundation, socially and cognitively, as her teachers’ nurture each child’s heart, body and mind. Her goal is that every parent will drop off their child with complete confidence, joy and peace knowing that their child is in the best of hands and school.
