Welcome to Our School

The Goddard School of Washington DC (The Wharf) is more than a warm and nurturing place. It's a safe space where your child will discover their extraordinary.

Goddard DC at The Wharf originally opened in July of 2019. Due to demand we have opened a 2nd location (across the street) to serve the families of our wonderful SW community. 910 7th Street (original location) now enrolls children between ages of 18 months and 5 years. Our new location, 652 Maine Avenue, enrolls children 6 weeks - 18 months. Both Schools have their own private playground space, key fobbed entry for added security AND also ample parking for pickup and drop off! Now Enrolling!!

Owner
My name is Taylor Pope and I am the on-site owner of The Goddard School in Washington, DC at The Wharf! I am a third-generation franchisee, originally from the Hampton Roads area of VA where my family currently owns one other Goddard School (Virginia Beach “Lynnhaven”). I attended Marymount University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. My wife Ashley and I met at Marymount and currently live in Alexandria with our amazing daughter, Lyla, and our two dogs - Penelope and Nelson. Lyla was born in July 22', and she is currently enrolled at the School. She loves to commute to and from the School on a daily basis with her "Dada"! There are TWO locations to visit at The Wharf - 652 Maine Avenue SW (Infants - 24 months) with an indoor playground and 910 7th Street SW (2 years - 5 years) with a private outdoor play area! I am excited to provide a fun, family oriented program to our wonderful SW DC community. Let's build our Goddard @ The Wharf family together!
