Welcome to The Goddard School® located in Canton, Michigan. We opened our new School on October 8, 2007.
The Goddard School can make a positive difference in your child's life. We are a private preschool that offers a safe, healthy, nurturing environment year-round for the education and development of children six-weeks to six-years-old. During the summer months, we provide Elementary School Readiness Programs for children entering 1st, 2nd and 3rd Grade. Our warm, loving atmosphere features a year-round, extended day program from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Our unique programs are designed to enhance the emotional, social, intellectual and physical needs of your child. 100% of our teachers possess a college degree in a child development field. Additionally, every teacher has previous experience in early childhood development, and receives ongoing in-house instruction in The Goddard School’s curriculum. Every teacher is CPR and First Aid Certified. All of our teachers involved in the Elementary School Readiness Programs for children entering 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade are certified to teach Elementary School. Our entire faculty is personally committed to bringing you the very best in early childhood education.
Areas of growth and development are highlighted within our daily lesson plans, which our faculty brings to life each day in appropriate and attainable ways. Our children are continually learning, laughing and growing as they explore music, art, history, math, science, foreign language, sign language, computers and fitness. We encourage natural curiosity and creativity, and for children to progress at their own pace according to their individual needs and abilities, through the professional guidance of our teachers. Parents are provided with a daily report about their child’s activities, participation and progress.
Teachers and students develop positive relationships that are interactive rather than simply directive. The result is a School where children are empowered by learning. At the core of our philosophy is the knowledge that children are our most precious resource. Our commitment at The Goddard School is to provide our children with nothing less than the finest possible environment for the healthy development of their self-esteem, confidence and love of learning.
Our state-of-the-art, custom designed building has been planned to provide a safe, secure environment. Two separate playgrounds have been designed to challenge and delight your child at every age.
We are located on Canton Center Road between Ford and Warren Roads, for the convenience of families living in Canton, Plymouth, Northville, Westland, Belleville and Superior Township.
