Offering The Best Childhood Preparation for Social and Academic Success.

Our teachers blend the highest standards in early childhood development with nurturing care.

Nan & Gary, Owners WELCOME to our Faculty page!

Here you'll learn about the outstanding team of directors and caring, educated, experienced, credentialed lead and assistant teachers and flex resource staff we've assembled to provide your child with the best early childhood preparation for social and academic success.

Our faculty of more than 30 full- and part-time teachers and assistants -- and the two, three, four and five full- and half-day programs they manage -- serve children who are six weeks old to Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten age.

Nan, a New Hampshire native, graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Home Economics that includes a concentration in Child Development & Family Relations and a specialization in Medical/Vocational Rehabilitation. She’s also an interpreter for the deaf, a Certified American Montessori Society Infant/Toddler Teacher and holds First Aid, CPR and MAT certificates and has more than ten years of experience with child care, daycare and early childhood education centers.

Gary grew up in West Irondequoit where his mother also taught in elementary schools. He has advanced degrees in Architecture and Engineering Management from Cornell and Drexel respectively, and is a retired architect, innovator, business executive, and non-profit board leader as well as Chair of the Engineering Technologies Department at Monroe Community College.

Nan and Gary have lived in the villages of Pittsford and Fairport and currently reside in the Town of Pittsford, not far from the school.

At The Goddard School®, your child will learn for fun – and for life - through carefully developed, daily lesson plans based on the Fun Learning Experience (F.L.EX.®) curriculum. The F.L.EX. develops the whole child by incorporating language, literacy, social and physical skills, social studies and STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math.
