Steven, Owner Hi! I am Steve Friedlander, owner of The Goddard School in Pittsford, NY. After 34 years with the Xerox Corporation, I decided to begin a new adventure with my daughter, Bari. We opened The Goddard School in the Fall of 2006. I have four wonderful grandchildren and over one hundred more children I see each day at school who greet me as "Mr. Steve!"
Bari, Director Hi! I am Ms. Bari. I am the Education Director for The Goddard School. I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from SUNY Geneseo and my Masters degree in Child Development from Tufts University. I have a husband, three children, and a dog named Scout. I enjoy watching performing arts, attending Little League games and being outdoors.
Lisa, Assistant Director Hi! I am Ms. Lisa. I am the Assistant Director. I received my B.A. in Fine Arts from Nazareth College and hold a CDA in Infant & Toddler education. I have worked in child care for over 15 years.
I have two beautiful daughters. My interests include spending time with family. I also enjoy scrap-booking, crafting and reading.
Lindsay, Lead Teacher Hi! I’m Ms. Lindsay. I am a teacher in the “Little Lambs” Infant classroom. I have a Bachelor Degree in Child Psychology from St. John Fischer College and am currently working on my Masters in Childhood/ Special Education. I've worked with children since the age of 12.
I love working with positive people in a family like atmosphere. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, scrap-booking, watching movies, traveling and generally hanging out.
Allison, Lead Teacher Hi, my name is Ms. Allison and I am a teacher in the "Caterpillars" First Steps classroom. I have an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Besides being a mother of two grown boys, I have worked with young children for over 10 years.
It doesn't matter how hard my morning has been, my favorite thing is walking into my classroom to a room full of excited & smiling children!
Mary, Lead Teacher Hi, my name is Ms. Mary and I am a teacher in the "Honeybee" Toddler classroom. I have a B.A. in English Literature from SUNY Brockport and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education from Niagara University.
I live with my wonderful husband and two unruly dogs all of whom greet me with kisses at the end of the day.
I enjoy coming to work to see the enthusiastic smiles of the children in my class.
Hayley, Lead Teacher Hi! I am Ms. Hayley. I am a teacher in the “Little Ducks” Toddler classroom. I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and my Masters in Childhood Literacy from St. Bonaventure University. I worked at the Olean YMCA nursery school, and as a mentor before joining The Goddard School in 2011.
I come from a large family and have a goofy dog! I like to ride bikes, scrapbook and be active.
Anita, Lead Teacher Hi! My name is Ms. Anita and I am a teacher in the "Firefly" Get-Set classroom. I have A.A.S. degree from FLCC and B.A. in Early Childhood and Childhood Education from SUNY Geneseo.
I enjoy being creative and working “out of the box.” I love to give children real life experiences to learn from.
I live with my husband, two cats and many fish. I enjoy being outside: hiking, canoeing and kayaking.
Danielle , Lead Teacher Hi! My name is Ms. Danielle and I am a teacher in the “Seahorses” Get Set classroom. I have an Associate Degree in Childhood Education from FLCC and have worked in a variety of child care settings over the past few years and while I attended college.
I have one older sister and a dog named Raina. I enjoy hiking, jogging, cooking and arts & crafts. I love watching children’s progress as they learn and grow each day!
Kimberly, Lead Teacher Hi! I am Ms. Kimberly. I am a teacher in the “Brown Bears” Preschool classroom. I received my B.S. in Childhood Education and Special Education, and my M.S. in Special Education. I worked as a Preschool teacher in Getzville, NY for 4 years before coming to The Goddard School in January 2012.
I have a husband and two sons. I also have 2 cats named Bella and Lewis. I enjoy reading, attempting to cook and spending time with family.
Carrie, Lead Teacher Hi! I’m Ms. Carrie. I am a teacher in the “Panda Bears” Preschool classroom. I have been a teacher here at The Goddard School since January 2011. I received my Bachelors degree in Sociology and my Masters degree in Childhood & Special Education.
Vicki , Lead Teacher Hi! My name is Ms. Vicki. I am a teacher in the "Gorillas" Pre-Kindergarten classroom. I have a BA in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children and a MSED in Special Education both from SUNY Brockport. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades prior to coming to Goddard.
I enjoy participating in the arts: painting, drawing and dance especially. I also enjoy spending time outdoors.

Elisa, Lead Teacher Hi! I’m Ms. Elisa. I am a teacher in the “Kangaroos” Pre-K classroom. I received my Bachelors degree in Childhood Education from SUNY Oswego and began teaching at The Goddard School in June 2012. I am currently working towards my Master's degree in education.

Danielle , Assistant Teacher Hi! My name is Ms. Dani and I am a teacher in the "Little Lambs" Infant classroom. I am currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I have over 10 years experience working with children of all ages.
I am engaged to be married and have two young children of my own. I love swimming, traveling, reading and being outdoors. Goddard has a warm and welcoming staff and of course, I love working with the awesome children!
Rebecca, Assistant Teacher Hi! My name is Ms. Rebecca. I am a teacher in the “Little Lambs” Infant classroom. I have an Associate degree from Genesee Community College and a Bachelor degree from SUNY Brockport. I have over 15 years experience working with young children, mostly infants.
I have two young daughters and love to spend time with family, watching sports, and going to concerts. The Goddard School has made me feel welcomed, appreciated and part of the “family.”
Gresa, Assistant Teacher Hi! My name is Ms. Gresa and I am a teacher in the “Fireflies” Get Set classroom. I have a degree from The University at Buffalo where I completed an internship at the Early Childhood Research Center working with preschool aged children.
I enjoy cooking and spending time with my friends and family who happen to live all over the world- mostly in Kosovo, where I am from. I love watching how fast children grow and learn while they are here at the Goddard School.
Caitlin, Assistant Teacher Hi! I’m Ms. Caitlin. I am a floater and have the pleasure of working in every classroom. I have taken coursework in early childhood education and have much experience working with children as a nanny and childcare assistant.
I love being outside and swimming. I also like spending time with my family watching sporting events and rooting on our favorite teams.
Maribeth, Assistant Teacher Hi! My name is Ms. Maribeth and I am a teacher in the “Seahorses” Get Set classroom. I have a Child Development Associate and am currently taking classes online. I have been working in the childcare field for many years prior to coming to Goddard. I enjoy helping children overcome challenges and be able to learn and grow in a warm and loving environment.
Elise, Assistant Teacher Hi! I’m Ms. Elise. I am a teacher in the “Brown Bears” Preschool classroom. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology and worked with developmentally delayed adults and teens for five years. I began teaching at The Goddard School in 2007.
I am married and have a daughter. I enjoy cooking, scrap-booking, craft activities and being outdoors.
Niccole, Assistant Teacher Hi, my name is Ms. Nickie and I am a teacher in the "Kangaroo" Pre-K classroom.I have a BA in History with a minor in Political Science from St. John Fischer College. In my previous job I was a lead Pre-K teacher.
I have 2 daughters and a dog named Max. When I’m not driving my children to all their activities I enjoy reading and baking.
I love that there is never a dull moment when working with children.
