The Goddard School is a renowned program with a Piaget (Learning through Play) based foundation and a leader in the franchised preschool industry which is growing and continues to set the standard for excellence. The focus of the program is to provide a life-long love of learning. Our staff is made of loving and dedicated teachers who understand each child's needs. They are highly qualified childhood educators who are able to use their creativity and The Goddard Developmental Guidelines as the basis for the unique lesson plans that are brought to life in a fun and imaginative way.

Daily Responsibilities

-Meet the individual needs of the children
-Parent communication
-Participation in staff and training meetings
-Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
-Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
-Present expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level
-Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
-Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff
-Building teamwork
-Use assessment tools
-Commit to continuing education

Assistant Teachers assist the Lead Teacher with the above-noted responsibilities.

Assistant Teachers Qualifications:
-High School Diploma
-Prior childcare experience
-Pursuing degree

Lead Teacher - Full Time

A Lead Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Additionally a Lead Teacher is responsible to work together with an Assistant Teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty.

-Design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom

Lead Teachers are responsible for ensuring compliance with Goddard's industry leading Quality Assurance standards. Lead Teachers write and implement their own lesson plans based on Goddard Developmental Guidelines and monthly school themes. Most importantly, they create a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning!
All candidates, who wish to be considered for the position of Lead Teacher, must meet one or more of the following criteria:
-A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development.
-A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, including 18 semester hours of completed coursework related to young children birth to age 8.
-An Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field.
