Mrs Leisa, Owner School Owner:
Leisa has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Oberlin College, a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan, and a Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurial Management from Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania. She is CPR and First Aid certified.

Ms Tami, Director Tami graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. She has over 30 years of experience working with children. Tami transferred to our school from a Goddard School in Pennsylvania where she was the director for 6 years. She is also a Director Mentor for directors within the Goddard franchise.

Ashleigh, Assistant Director Ashleigh graduated from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Child Development and Child/Family Studies. She began working with preschool children after graduation and has since had many opportunities to work with children of all ages in a variety of settings. Ashleigh recently celebrated her 5th anniversary with our Goddard School.

Rachel, Lead Teacher Rachel has completed 30 hours of orientation through TECTA, the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance. She has over thirteen years experience working in a childcare setting and has worked with children of all ages.

Kayla, Lead Teacher Kayla is currently working towards her Associate’s Degree in Elementary Education at Volunteer State Community College. She has experience working with children in a variety of settings including teaching Pre-Kindergarten at her church as well as working in a preschool setting.

Miss Jackie, Lead Teacher Jackie graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work. She was a toddler teacher in Illinois before she relocated to Hendersonville. Jackie loves the toddler age and is excited to continue teaching this age group at The Goddard School!

Kathleen, Lead Teacher Miss Kat has an Associates degree in Liberal Arts from Essex County College. She also has over 5 years of experience working with children. Miss Kat recently became a mother, and has a beautiful daughter in our Infant 1 classroom.

Miss Erica, Lead Teacher Erica has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Services from Northern Illinois University. She was a toddler teacher in Illinois before she moved to Hendersonville to be closer to her family. Erica loves everything about 2 year olds and is excited to be at The Goddard School!

Jordan, Lead Teacher Jordan graduated from Lee University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. She has worked several years as a youth leader at her church and is thrilled to be making a difference with children in early childhood development!

Miss Ashlee, Lead Teacher Ashlee is currently enrolled in Volunteer Community College working on her degree in Early Childhood Education. She has over 3 years of experience teaching preschool age children.

Michelle, Lead Teacher Michelle is currently working towards receiving her CDA, Child Development Associates, and has previously completed 30 hours of orientation through TECTA, the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance. She has six years experience working in a childcare setting and has worked with children of all ages.

Miss Nikki, Lead Teacher Nikki has taught preschool for 4 years and received her Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance Certificate. She also has several credit hours in Early Childhood Education and is working on a degree in ECE.

Andrea, Lead Teacher Andrea graduated from East Robertson High School and earned her Associates Degree in Interior Design from The International Academy of Design and Technology. She is currently continuing her education at Ashford University in Elementary Education. Andrea has over eight years experience working with preschool age children in a private school environment.

Stephanie, Lead Teacher Stephanie graduated from Martin Luther College in Minnesota where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She has twelve years experience working as an in-home childcare provider, and as a teacher at both the preschool and elementary school level.

Alissa, Lead Teacher Alissa has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Murray State University. She has taught preschool for the past 8 years and has volunteered several years in her church's children's ministry.

Christy, Lead Teacher Christy earned a Bachelor of Science from Western Kentucky University’s College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. She has over seven years of experience teaching in the early childhood field working with children ages early two’s through four years old.

Miss Abby, Lead Teacher Abby has an Associate's Degree in Art Education from Hopkinsville Community College. She has over 4 years of experience working with children and is thrilled to be a part of the Goddard team!

Gaye, Lead Teacher Gaye has completed coursework in Early Childhood Education through Volunteer State Community College, 30 hours of orientation through TECTA, the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance, as well as participated in many CCR&R workshops. She has thirty-eight years experience teaching in a childcare setting and has worked with children of all ages.

Shawna, Lead Teacher Shawna graduated from The University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology. She has five years experience working in a private preschool setting and has also tutored children on the English language in Pinghu, China.

Heather, Lead Teacher Heather graduated in 2007 from Tuson College in Lancashire, England with her N.N.E.B. and then obtained her CDA from Montclair State University in New Jersey. She has worked with children in a variety of different childcare settings over the past twenty-four years. Some of her experience has been as an Au Pair and as a teacher in various preschools, including Wyckoff Christian School and The Goddard School in New Jersey.

Heather, Lead Teacher Heather graduated from The University of Tennessee at Martin in December 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. Her experience includes over nine years working in the early childhood field where she has worked with children of all ages; however, most of her time has been spent with PreKindergarten age children.

Jan, Lead Teacher Jan has over 30 years of experience teaching children. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Cumberland University with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education. In her 30 years, Jan taught kindergarten for 10 years and pre-kindergarten for 5. She is a great asset to our Junior K program.

Lyndsey, Lead Teacher Lyndsey is currently working towards completing her Bachelor of Science in English from Austin Peay State University. She has completed 30 hours of orientation through TECTA, the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance. She has two years experience working in a childcare setting and has worked with children ages two to three.

Nicole, Assistant Teacher Nikki graduated from Euclidian Beauty School and has several credit hours in Early Childhood Education. She is a loving and nurturing teacher and caregiver to our 1 year olds.

Miss Desiree, Resource Desiree graduated from the University of Tennessee, Martin with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family and Consumer Science. She has over 3 years of experience working with children in a child care center and at a child advocacy center.

Jennifer, Resource Jennifer graduated from Station Camp High School in 2010 and then attended UT Knoxville where she studied Exercise Science. She is currently working on her degree in Elementary education at Vol. State Community College. She previously worked as a kids counselor for six years at Kid's Place.

Joanna, Resource Joanna attended Volunteer State Community College where she earned her CDA, Child Development Associates. She has over eight years experience working with children in a variety of settings. She has worked as a preschool teacher in the private preschool setting, as well as served at her church and as a nanny for different families.

Miss Traci, Resource Traci has over 20 years of experience working with children. She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. Traci brings a great deal of kindergarten teaching experience to our school.
