Leisa, Owner School Owner:
Leisa has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Oberlin College, a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan, and a Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurial Management from Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania. She is CPR and First Aid certified. Her on-site leadership brings peace of mind to parents and overall increased quality to the school. She is extremely involved in the community, but her door is always open to chat with parents or hug a child.

Mrs Kara, Director Kara graduated from West Virginia University with a Masters in Child Development. She has over 20 years experience working with children. Kara owned and operated a family centered business while growing her own family and transitioned to Goddard Director in 2017. As the Director of Operations, Kara manages our community engagements, school events, and parent relations.

Tami, Director Tami graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. She has over 30 years of experience working with children. Tami transferred to our school from a Goddard School in Pennsylvania where she was the director for 6 years. She is also a Director Mentor for directors within the Goddard franchise. In her role as Director of Education, Tami manages children's programs, curriculum implementation, and quality assurance.

Ashleigh, Assistant Director Ashleigh graduated from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Child Development and Child/Family Studies. She has been with our Goddard School for 6 years, first as a teacher until she joined the administrative team. Ashleigh supports all operational and educational programs and manages classroom enrichment opportunities.

Rachel, Lead Teacher Rachel has completed 30 hours of orientation through TECTA, the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance. She has over thirteen years experience working in a childcare setting and has worked with children of all ages.

Traci, Lead Teacher Traci has over 20 years of experience working with children. She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. Traci brings a great deal of kindergarten teaching experience to our school.

Stephanie, Lead Teacher Stephanie has worked in Early Childhood Education for the past 25 years. She studied ECE at Ashland Community Technical College and Morehead State University. Stephanie has worked with infant through pre-kindergarten classes, and has also been a director of a preschool. She has 2 daughters of her own and loves caring for the youngest of our school.

Jackie, Lead Teacher Jackie graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work. She was a toddler teacher in Illinois before she relocated to Hendersonville. Jackie loves the toddler age and is excited to continue teaching this age group at The Goddard School!

Ashlee, Lead Teacher Ashlee is currently enrolled in Volunteer Community College working on her degree in Early Childhood Education. She has over 3 years of experience teaching preschool age children.

Michelle, Lead Teacher Michelle is currently working towards receiving her CDA, Child Development Associates, and has previously completed 30 hours of orientation through TECTA, the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance. She has six years experience working in a childcare setting and has worked with children of all ages.

Nikki, Lead Teacher Nikki has taught preschool for 4 years and received her Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance Certificate. She also has several credit hours in Early Childhood Education and is working on a degree in ECE.

Stephanie, Lead Teacher Stephanie graduated from Martin Luther College in Minnesota where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She has twelve years experience working as an in-home childcare provider, and as a teacher at both the preschool and elementary school level.

Christy, Lead Teacher Christy earned a Bachelor of Science from Western Kentucky University’s College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. She has over seven years of experience teaching in the early childhood field working with children ages early two’s through four years old.

Abby, Lead Teacher Abby has an Associate's Degree in Art Education from Hopkinsville Community College. She has over 4 years of experience working with children and is thrilled to be a part of the Goddard team!

Gaye, Lead Teacher Gaye has completed coursework in Early Childhood Education through Volunteer State Community College, 30 hours of orientation through TECTA, the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance, as well as participated in many CCR&R workshops. She has thirty-eight years experience teaching in a childcare setting and has worked with children of all ages.

Heather, Lead Teacher Heather graduated in 2007 from Tuson College in Lancashire, England with her N.N.E.B. and then obtained her CDA from Montclair State University in New Jersey. She has worked with children in a variety of different childcare settings over the past twenty-four years. Some of her experience has been as an Au Pair and as a teacher in various preschools, including Wyckoff Christian School and The Goddard School in New Jersey.

Heather, Lead Teacher Heather graduated from The University of Tennessee at Martin in December 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. Her experience includes over nine years working in the early childhood field where she has worked with children of all ages; however, most of her time has been spent with PreKindergarten age children.

Lyndsey, Lead Teacher Lyndsey is currently working towards completing her Bachelor of Science in English from Austin Peay State University. She has completed 30 hours of orientation through TECTA, the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance. She has two years experience working in a childcare setting and has worked with children ages two to three.

Lisa, Lead Teacher Lisa has an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently seeking her Bachelor's Degree. She has been working in ECE for over 25 years and even owned a center of her own. At this time, she wants to be back in the classroom and teach the children again; it's her first love!

Nicole, Assistant Teacher Nikki graduated from Euclidian Beauty School and has several credit hours in Early Childhood Education. She is a loving and nurturing teacher and caregiver to our infants.

Patrice, Assistant Teacher Patrice is certified in the Tennessee Early Childhood Teaching Alliance, and she is currently working on a degree in Child Psychology. Patrice has over 18 years of experience working with children, including raising a daughter of her own.

Audrey, Assistant Teacher Audrey has over 10 years of experience working with children and she has a beautiful daughter of her own.
She is currently working on her education from Volunteer State Community College. Audrey enjoys making crafts, hiking, caving, and any activity with her daughter.

Miss Kindel, Assistant Teacher Kindel is currently attending Volunteer State Community College working on her degree in Education. She has several years of experience working with children as a youth leader at her church and is excited about teaching our young Get Setters!

Andrea, Resource Andrea graduated from East Robertson High School and earned her Associates Degree in Interior Design from The International Academy of Design and Technology. She is currently continuing her education at Ashford University in Elementary Education. Andrea has been at The Goddard School since 2013, first as a teacher before she assumed her current position. She supports all facets of classsroom and administrative operations to ensure quality and effective systems.

Annie, Resource Annie grew up in Wisconsin and is currently enrolled in the College of Education at Lipscomb University. She has several years experience working with children as a nanny and volunteer work with Inner City Ministry. Annie is excited to work with the young children here at The Goddard School.

Desiree, Resource Desiree graduated from the University of Tennessee, Martin with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family and Consumer Science. She has over 3 years of experience working with children in a child care center and at a child advocacy center.

Jennifer, Resource Jennifer graduated from Station Camp High School in 2010 and then attended UT Knoxville where she studied Exercise Science. She is currently working on her degree in Elementary education at Vol. State Community College. She previously worked as a kids counselor for six years at Kid's Place.

Kate, Resource Kate has over 4 years of experience working with children. She is excited to start a career in Early Childhood Development. Kate loves being outside and spending time with children.

Olivia, Resource Olivia is a student at Lindsey Wilson College, studying Human Services and Counseling. She has 2 years of experience working with children. Olivia is a native of Hendersonville and is enjoying getting to know all the children as she supports all the classrooms in our school.

Savannah, Resource Savannah is attending Tennessee Technological University, studying Elementary Education and English as a Second Language. She has a great deal of experience with children as a Sunday School teacher, volunteer, and taking care of her younger brother. Savannah loves being around children and is excited about spending her summer break at The Goddard School.
