      • Description: This month we will be learning all about Fall and how it is a time of harvest. Infants through Kindergarten will be using a wide range of activities to engage and help the children learn about this time of year.

      • Description: During circle time today our two year olds will read Mouse's First Fall by Lauren Thompson and try to make the animal sound of each animal they saw in the story. They also discussed the changes that happen during this season.

      • Description: The babies will explore with fabric leaves at the table to enhance there sense of touch and also to explore theme related materials. This is also a great way for them to enhance their fine motor skills as they try to pick up the leaves.

      • Description: To enhance one to one correspondence and early math skills, numbered trees, colored leaves, and glue will be added to the table during math centers. This was a great way for the children to count out the number of leaves needed for each tree.

      • Description: While outside on the playground the toddlers will collect leaves to make leaf piles. Then they will get to step, jump, and crunch in all the leaves for a new sensory experience. They will also practice saying leaf in Spanish, "Hoja."

      • Description: Working together in pairs our preschoolers will try to make ABC patterns with colored leaves. This is a great way for them to incorporate early math skills as well as color recognition skills, while learning that leaves change color in the Fall.

      • Description: Our Jr. Kindergarten 2 students will be going on a field trip to the Home Depot on Woodruff Road. While there they will get to take a tour of the tour and also participate in some wood working activities.

      • Description: Join us at Stewart Farms in Enoree for our annual Fall Festival. There will be hay rides, inflatables, food, games, face painting, balloons, and so much more!

      • Description: We will be getting messy while exploring with paint, paintbrushes, and mini pumpkins today. This is a great way for the little ones to learn about pumpkins and also enjoy new sensory experiences.

      • Description: We will be working on our creative writing skills this week. We will explore a pumpkin inside and out with our eyes, hands, and mouths. Then we will write down descriptive words that describe what we experienced.

      • Description: A variety of pretend vegetables and cooking utensils were added to the dramatic play center to enhace our imaginations and encourage healthy eating today. Our four year olds also learned the Spanish word for each vegetable.

      • Description: The two year olds will learn a new song called "Way Up High in the Apple Tree" and practice doing the hand motions to the song. They will also taste apples as a way to encourage healthy snacks and also learn about apples.

      • Description: Our Jr. Kindergarten students will be going on a field trip to NHL in Mauldin. The students will be singing songs for the residents and giving them homemade gifts and cards.

      • Description: Our babies will work on their baby yoga pose "Tree" to strengthen their muscles and encourage healthy habits. They will also explore with different colored apples as the teachers say the color of each apple they touch to help build language skills.

      • Description: We will be having our annual Canned Food Drive this week. Bring your non-perishable items and place them in the box that represents your favorite team! We will keep score all week and reveal the winner before the big game!

      • Description: While learning about farm animals, our four year olds will use their matching and cognitive skills to complete farm animal puzzles on the Promethean board. We will start with 16 piece puzzles and then move up to 30 pieces.

      • Description: Today our Toddlers will sing "Old MacDonald Had A Farm" while learning about life on the farm. Each child got to choose an animal and tell the class what sound that animal made to help build confidence and self esteem even from an early age.

      • Description: While learning about cows and all the yummy dairy products that come from cows, we will explore with chalk, buttermilk, and black paper. It is amazing how much brighter the chalk is after dipping it in the buttermilk.

      • Description: The three year olds will practice their handwriting skills as they write or draw something they are thankful for on a paper leaf. Then they will get to use tape to add the leaf to the class tree that will be displayed on the wall.
