At The Goddard School of Novi - Grand River, we believe that the start of your child's journey matters. The Goddard School of Novi (Grand River) serves Novi, Northville, South Lyon, and nearby areas. Our programs for infants to junior kindergarten nurture curiosity and a love of learning through play-based and inquiry-based activities. Our literacy-rich curriculum emphasizes social-emotional growth, creativity, critical thinking, and communication. Meet Derick and Ms Bobbie Owners
Derick and Bobbie Doe are thrilled to provide families of the greater Novi community with high-quality early childhood education in a warm, safe and nurturing environment. As proud owners of The Goddard School of Novi (Grand River), they bring their deep commitment to early childhood education and community engagement to life every day.
Inspired by their son’s experience at a Goddard School, Derick & Bobbie recognized the importance of a high-quality, nurturing, learning environment and made the decision to build The Goddard School of Novi to inspire more children to reach their full potential in their next steps in school and life.
Their vision for the school is to be a cornerstone of the community, where children build a strong foundation for academic and social success while fostering a lifelong love of learning. They believe in supporting not just children but their families, creating a warm and inclusive environment where everyone feels like part of the Goddard family.

From infants and toddlers to pre-K, kindergarten and beyond, our classrooms are designed specifically with your little one’s needs in mind.
Infant
6 w - 12 m
In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need with opportunities to begin exploring the world around them.
Toddlers
12 - 24 m
As your little one rapidly develops physically and cognitively, our Toddler classroom is where their natural curiosity is fostered and their budding skills are nurtured.
Twos
2 - 3 yrs
In the Twos classroom, experienced, caring teachers guide your child through playful exploration, helping navigate big emotions while providing hands-on learning experiences that nurture their innate curiosity.
Bridge
2.5 - 3.5 yrs
As your child continues to gain independence, build self-care skills and learn more about themselves, the Bridge classroom provides the support they need to thrive in a preschool setting.
Preschool
3 - 4 yrs
In our Preschool classroom, your child starts their journey into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting.
Pre-K
4 - 5 yrs
As your child prepares for Kindergarten, our Pre-K classroom offers exciting opportunities to develop important skills, make new friends and explore the world around them.

We love the staff and the structured curriculum, even for infants! We immediately felt a peace about sending our child to Goddard Novi and are so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this community.
This school has a very professional and welcoming environment. I've only ever been satisfied with our children's and our experience at the school. Overall, amazing teachers, clean, safe, and I am happy they do extra activities and a few events too. The new school itself with all of the updates, are really great, and have added to the curriculum. My children especially enjoy the gym, and I think it will be great to have that in the winter months.
The curriculum, teacher-child approach, positive reinforcement, classical education, cleanliness, communications, music classes, and how they welcome an extension of what parents practice at home are just a few reasons I chose The Goddard School Novi for my child’s early childhood development.
Excellent communication, friendly staff, friendly teachers. Love the app and the daily photos and updates keep us in the loop on how our child is doing. Love that the owners are always on site daily and visible, extremely welcoming each day. The facilities appear clean and foster a good learning environment. School takes child safety seriously.
It takes so much for me to trust caregivers for my kids, but at Goddard, they really take such great care of them and make them feel excited to go to school each day!
The faculty go above and beyond for my child and I know he is in the best hands! I highly recommend it
Exceptionally personal attention from the administrative staff and the teaching staff, facility is top notch and student to teacher ratios are very appropriate and reassuring. Daily activities are varied and keep our son very engaged. The entire team is very careful in regards to meals, activities, break time, and individual accommodations. Would highly recommend.
We have been extremely impressed with the security, friendliness of staff, and exceptional communication that has occurred during our time at Goddard. We enjoy the app updates that we get with what activities our daughter did for the day and the thoroughness of her diaper changes, feeding, and napping. We feel that the staff truly care for our daughter and are attentive to her needs.

Secure Education Consultants is a company owned and operated by former US Secret Service Agents designed to help us take our safety and security to the highest level possible. SEC is a group of highly-skilled security and protection experts. The SEC team specializes in analyzing facilities, developing Emergency Preparedness Plans, and preparing faculty and staff to appropriately confront emergencies of all kinds.
