Amanda, Owner John and Amanda are the on-site owners of The Goddard School located in Allen, Texas. The Snowman family is not a quiet one with four children; Katie is in ninth grade, Jack is a Senior in high school, Samantha and Kimberly are recent college graduates. They also have three furry family members – a yellow lab, Maggie a chocolate lab, Bailey and a black lab, Jackson. John was born in Maine. He graduated from the University of Maine-Orono and obtained his MBA from Amberton University in Garland, Texas. John worked in the logistics industry for over thirty years. He is also a retired USAF Officer. Amanda was born in Ohio. She graduated from John Carroll University in Cleveland and obtained her MBA from Amberton University. Amanda worked at Greyhound Lines as their Manager of Customer Operations for sixteen years. Actually, it was job relocation with Greyhound that brought the Snowman’s from Boston, Massachusetts to Texas over twenty years ago. “Having the best school, with the best teachers, and the best educational program is very rewarding to us as parents, and we are truly grateful to be able to serve the children and families in our community. Getting to see our future generations grow and blossom every day into fine young people is a blessing,” add John and Amanda.


Cyndi, Director Cyndi is our Educational Director. She has been with our school for eight years and has held several lead teacher positions here; she started in the Infant, then followed her babies to the First Steps class and then to our Preschool classroom. She then was promoted to the assistant director to now Director. Cyndi earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Relations and Business from Amberton University. Cyndi has worked with children for over twenty-five years in various roles such as a second grade teacher and a pre-k teacher to being a nanny for several families. “Children are little sponges who soak up everything we teach them and it inspires me as I watch them learn and grow,” adds Cyndi.


Alexia, Assistant Director Alexia is our Assistant Director and she has been with us for 6 years. She first came to us as an assistant teacher in our Preschool 1 class, then was promoted to be the Lead Teacher. Alexia moved up with her Preschool 1 class and took on the position of the Preschool 2 lead teacher until she was promoted to the Assistant Director. She has had first-hand experience in our classrooms as well as becoming familiar with the administrative part of Goddard. Alexia is a graduate from The University of Michigan where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minored in Spanish. While in college, Alexia worked at the children’s developmental lab which is a NAEYC accredited on-campus childcare facility. Alexia’s future goal is to obtain a Master’s degree and work with young children as an early childhood interventionist. She is excited to begin the process of being part of the school administration and working with the teachers to help Goddard continue to strive for excellence in helping the children become life-long learners.


Djuna, Lead Teacher Ms. D is our Lead Teacher in our Infant classroom and she has been with us for 4 years. She was born in Dallas, yet raised in Mississippi. Having worked with children for over 20 years, Ms. D was also a Director of a childcare center back home. She attended Jackson State University for General Studies and she is also completing a degree in Early Childhood Education.


Lisa, Lead Teacher Lisa is our lead teacher in the First Steps classroom and is celebrating her 4th year with us. Lisa graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Development and Elementary Education. She has experience working with children from infant up to ten year olds. Prior to working with the little ones, Lisa was an elementary school teacher in the Richardson ISD for 14 years.


Rebecca, Lead Teacher Becky has been with us for 2 years and is our Lead Teacher in our Young Toddlers classroom. Becky is pursuing her degree in early childhood education. She has worked with children for over 13 years while her husband’s Air Force career took them all over the world. Before moving back to her home state, Becky worked at the Goddard School in Exton, PA. She is very glad to be back home in Texas with her husband and 2 children. Her biggest joy with teaching is watching the children learn and grow.


Cameron, Lead Teacher Cammy is the Lead Teacher in Get Set 2. A 2016 graduate from Texas Woman’s University, Cammy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development and has been working with children from infants until three years old. Cammy is also recently married and they have two cats named Latte and Maggie. Originally from the Dallas area, Cammy and her husband like to spend time on the weekends with their friends.


Nada, Lead Teacher Nada is our Lead Teacher in the Preschool classroom and has been with us for 6 years. Nada and her family moved to the United States from Bosna during the war for better opportunities. When arriving to the US, she first resided in Dallas then moved to Allen where her sons graduated from Allen High School. Prior to being our lead teacher, Nada worked at the YMCA in Dallas and Richardson where she was the Pre-K teacher for 10 years. While working at the YMCA, she also completed her Child Development Associates degree. Nada brings a wealth of experience working with younger children and loves to see the excitement in their eyes when they make new discoveries. While not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and going to Zumba!


Crystal, Lead Teacher Crystal is our Lead Teacher in the Pre-K 2 classroom. At an early age Crystal knew her destiny was to be a teacher. When Crystal began college, she originally started pursuing a degree in music but half way through she knew teaching was more her passion. A graduate from Northern Arizona University is where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in music. She believes that music is a fundamental part of education and that every child should be free to explore.

Kristen, Lead Teacher Kristen is our Lead Teacher in the Pre-K 2 classroom. Born and raised in Caddo Mills, TX, Kristen has a younger sister. She will be graduating in May of 2018 with her Bachelors of Science in Child Development and a minor in Psychology from UNT. Her goal is to work alongside the federal government to be able to implement policy and reform focused on furthering the education of at risk youths and families.


Ashley, Lead Teacher Ashley is our Lead Teacher in the Jr. Kinder classroom. She is a graduate of Allen High school and attends Texas A & M Commerce where she is earning her degree in secondary education. Ashley is completing her student teaching this year at our school and once completed she will have her Texas Teaching certification. Ashley is a twin and she also has a young brother. She is an avid reader and huge Dallas cowboys fan even though her family is from Oklahoma.


Jesmar, Lead Teacher Jesmar is our Private Kindergarten teacher. Jess comes to us from The Goddard School in Houston where she was a lead teacher in the preschool classroom. After graduating from Queens College with a degree in Psychology & Media Studies, Jess worked in the corporate environment in New York City until her husband was transferred to Texas for his job. Once arriving in Texas, she enrolled in the ACT Dallas Alternative Teaching Program. Due to our AdvancED accreditation, Jess earned her Texas teaching certification in 2014. Jess strives to promote growth by employing creativity, stressing the importance of education as well as giving her students the freedom to think and discover knowledge. Jess enjoys traveling, photography, swimming, reading books and participating in various fitness activities and sports.


Rachel, Lead Teacher Rachel is our Lead Teacher in the Afterschool classroom. She graduated UTD with her Bachelors degree in Science and two majors - Child Learning and Development and Psychology. Since graduating, she has working with children from 2 years to 10 years old with developmental delays. Her passion is working with children and Art. Her goal is to incorporate her two passions into art therapy for children.


Maria, Assistant Teacher Maria is our Assistant Teacher in the Infant classroom and she has been with us for over 6 years. Born and raised in Peru - the land of the Inca's Empire and Machu Picchu - the 4th world wonder! Maria, her husband of 24 years and her 2 sons moved to Texas nine years ago and have made Allen their home away from home. Maria continues to instill in her children her cultural traditions by the way of cooking, speaking only Spanish to them and celebrating local holidays.


Brittany, Assistant Teacher Brittany is the Assistant Teacher in the Get Set 1 and Get Set 2 classrooms. Brittany is a graduate of Wylie High School and she currently attends Collin College where she is working towards a degree in pediatrics nursing. Her ultimate goal is to become a pediatrician. Brittany loves the outdoors and she also loves to capture those moments in pictures.


Grace, Assistant Teacher Grace is our Assistant Teacher in the First Steps and Infant classrooms.She volunteered here for a year before she was able to work with us. She has been with us for 4 years now. Graduated from Allen High School in 2016, Grace is attending Collin College and plans on transferring to University of Houston where she will be attending the School of Optometry. She absolutely loves working with children and being around family and friends.


Nissi, Assistant Teacher Nissi is our substitute teacher, who has been with Goddard for 7 years! She is currently a senior at Texas Woman's University where she is earning her degree in math with a minor in education. She loves it so much here that she comes to visit with the children on her off days from school.


Rhonda, Assistant Teacher Rhonda is our Assistant Teacher in the Young Toddler classroom. Rhonda is almost a native Texan being here since she was a little girl. She is married with two grown sons and two grandchildren. Prior to joining our faculty, Rhonda took care of children in her home and has worked with children in different capacities for over 10 years. She loves to work in her garden but it is her grandchildren that take up most of her time these days.


Shana, Assistant Teacher Shana is our Assistant Teacher in the Get Set 1 classroom and has been with us for 4 years. Shana is a graduate from Rowlett High School and is currently a college student at TWC working towards her nursing degree. She would like work in a pediatrics office, so working with little ones is giving her a great experience. Shana has a younger brother who continues to amazes her and teaches her new things even though they are 8 years apart. She also loves creating art and sharing them with friends and family which she hopes to incorporate into her work environment.


Valencia, Assistant Teacher Valencia is our Assistant Teacher in the Preschool classroom. Valencia and her family moved from Louisiana to Texas to be closer to her family. She has over 12 years' experience working with younger children and she is currently completing her degree in early childhood education. Working with children is her passion but her Sundays are fun days with her family!


Semra, Assistant Teacher Semra is our Assistant Teacher in the Pre-Kindergarten II classroom. She graduated from Plano East Senior High and has her Associated degree in Science from Collin College. She plans to continue her education in the medical field. Semra and her family migrated from Kurdistan to Turkey and through help from the United Nations they were able to come to America and have been here since she was 2 years old. Coming from a very large family, she has always been around children and she knew she wanted to work with children in some capacity. While attending college, she has been working with children.


Allison , Assistant Teacher Allison is our Assistant Teacher in the Jr. Kindergarten classroom. She graduated from John Paul II High School and recently graduated from Texas A&M with her Bachelors of Science degree in Political Science. Throughout college she worked with children as a gymnastics instructor and mini cheer coach. She knew she wanted to work with children and her goal is to earn her Masters in Psychology.


Salima, Resource Salima is our Classroom Resource Assistant and has been with us for 7 years as a lead teacher in various classrooms. She was born and grew up in Karachi, Pakistan. When she moved to the United States she lived in several states including Virginia, California and Texas. While in Virginia, she worked at Northern Virginia Academy and was the lead teacher in the infant room for 4 years. Her family moved to California where she attended college and received an Associate’s Degree in business. Salima is currently completing her degree in Child Development. On the weekends, Salima and her husband are very busy with their son and enjoys spending time with her daughter when she comes home from college.
