Mr Chris, Owner Mr. Chris has been the on-site School Owner since the school opened in June of 2007. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He specialized in finance. Upon graduating, he obtained his first professional job working as a mutual fund Accountant. Chris continued his education while working and received a Master's degree in Business Administration from Capital University. Chris is thrilled to be a part of The Goddard School® family as an owner and operator in Macedonia. He enjoys each and every child and is glad to be able to provide them with a safe and nurturing environment.

Miss Alicia, Director Miss Alicia is our Director of Operations. She graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education along with a reading/literacy endorsement. She has spent many years working with infants and toddlers and enjoys spending time doing sensory activities with the children. Goddard School Tenure: 6+ years

Miss Laura, Director Miss Laura is our Director of Curriculum. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Youngstown State University. She taught public school for three years and was the museum Educator at the Children's Museum of the Valley in Youngstown, Ohio. Prior to coming to The Goddard School located in Macedonia, Laura worked for a Goddard School located in Mason, Ohio, for two years as a Pre-K Teacher. Goddard School Tenure: 9.5 years

Miss Leigha, Lead Teacher Leigha McCauley is a graduate of Ohio State University. During her time at Ohio State, she double majored in Psychology and Sociology and minored in Human Development and Family Sciences. She was an infant room teacher for two years while away at college and is excited to continue to help infants develop and thrive at The Goddard School.

Miss Meghan, Lead Teacher Miss Meghan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology-Zoology from the University of Akron. Previous to working for The Goddard School, Miss Meghan has been employed with the local Zoos, the Cleveland Aquarium, and local museums. As part of those organizations, Meghan had the chance to teach children about different sciences. Tenure: 1+ year

Miss Susan, Lead Teacher Miss Susan has her LPN from Central School of Practical Nursing and spent many years working within hospitals. She spent time in the Neonatal Intensive Care unit and enjoyed her time working with infants. This sparked her interest in working in a school setting. She previously worked in an infant room at a childcare center and is excited to be working at The Goddard School and helping the infants to grow and learn.

Miss Brittany, Lead Teacher Miss Brittany's hard work ethic began even before entering college. Prior to starting college, she pursued a position in the childcare industry. While working, she then began her college career attending Stark State, where she eventually earned an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. Brittany has gained much experience and knowledge as she has worked for a few different schools in her career. She looks forward to continue helping to educate and grow young minds.

Miss Kaitlin, Lead Teacher Kaitlin Alexi was born in Warren, Ohio and raised in nearby Niles, Ohio and is a graduate of Westminster College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child and Family studies. She is currently working towards her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University. She has always loved working with children and is excited to be a part of the Goddard family! Goddard School Tenure: 6 months

Miss Nicole, Lead Teacher Miss Nicole graduated from The University of Akron, Cum Laude, with a Bachelor's degree in Education. In addition, Nicole obtained two teaching licenses - Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Intervention Specialist. Lastly, Nicole has over three years experience working with children and is excited to be a part of The Goddard School. Tenure: 6 months

Miss Sharmelle, Lead Teacher Sharmelle is currently pursuing a BA in Human Development and Family Studies at American Military University. Before joining the United States Army in 2009, she worked with children for three years as a lead teacher and an activities coordinator. Miss Sharmelle has experience working with children of all ages. After retiring from the military she wanted to go back to her first love which is taking care of children. Working with children has always been her passion in life and being a positive influence on them. Goddard School Tenure: 1 year

Miss Brittany, Lead Teacher Brittany Corvin was raised in Brooklyn, Ohio. After completing 2 years at Polaris Career Center for Early Childhood Education, she continued to pursue her passion in childcare for the past 13 years. Before joining The Goddard School of Macedonia, she worked 4 ½ years at The Goddard School in Independence. She has experience working with infants all the way up to Pre-K children and has been working with young children since 2004. She is so excited to help all the children in the Bouncing Bunny room learn and grow. Tenure: 8 months

Miss Melanie, Lead Teacher Melanie Buda was born and raised in Norton, Ohio and is a 2017 graduate from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies with a concentration in Child Life. During college, Melanie has gained experience through education, while interning within an early learning center, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Akron Children’s Hospital, and Make-A-Wish. She also has experience working with children of all ages, as she previously was a nanny. She is very excited to be apart of the Goddard family! Tenure: 6 months

Miss Bethany, Lead Teacher Miss Bethany graduated from Springfield High School in 2005. Upon graduating, she worked for Friendly's for five years. She is beginning to work towards earning her CDA (Child Development Associate credential). Goddard School Tenure: 3 years

Miss Lisa, Lead Teacher Lisa Hinkle was born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and is a graduate of The Ohio State University. She possesses a Bachelors of Science in Child and Family Studies. She has spent over 14 years in corporate training and substitute teaching. She is excited to be joining The Goddard School. Tenure: 8 months

Miss Christina, Lead Teacher Miss Christina is a graduate of Seton Hill University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Care Administration with a minor in Entrepreneurial Studies. Previous to working at The Goddard School, Christina had worked at other preschools and child care centers over the span of 7 years. She has experience working with infant children as well as preschool and pre-k children. She loves working with children and is thrilled to be a part of The Goddard School. Miss Melodi, Lead Teacher Miss Melodi graduated from Roosevelt University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She has previously worked with children for nearly fifteen years, mostly in special education. She is thrilled to be a part of The Goddard School team. Goddard School Tenure: 2 years

Miss Brianna, Lead Teacher Miss Brianna graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kent State University, May of 2015, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She grew up the eldest of five children and previously worked in a childcare environment for four years, starting in high school and throughout her college career. She strives to grow both spiritually and professionally. She also strives to engage children in significant learning, differentiated when appropriate. Working with children has always been a passion of hers and she is excited to be a part of The Goddard School. Goddard School Tenure: 3+ years

Miss Maria, Lead Teacher Miss Maria was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, and moved to the United States in 2009. She graduated from Cleveland State University with a Bachelor's degree in Middle Childhood Education. She taught in the Cleveland City Public School District as a social studies teacher for one year before she decided to go back to school for her Masters degree in Special Education - Moderate to Intensive Intervention Specialist. She is currently attending Kent State University to achieve this goal. Maria is excited to be a part of the Goddard Family and enjoys working with the children and their amazing families. Miss Cortney, Lead Teacher Miss Cortney earned her Bachelor's degree as an Intervention Specialist from Kent State University. Cortney thrives on dreaming big and has huge ambitions of opening her own auditory/oral school for the deaf in Northeast Ohio. She has worked with preschool aged children for numerous years and enjoys collaborating with other professionals as well as parents. Cortney watches the growth of the children as they play meaningfully in her classroom. Cortney is also our Assistant Director on a part-time basis. Goddard School Tenure: 10+ years

Miss Olivia, Lead Teacher Miss Olivia was born in Akron, Ohio and raised in Green, Ohio. She is currently a Child Devevlopment major at The University of Akron. She is very excited to be joining the Goddard School and getting to meet and work with the children and their families. Goddard School Tenure: 10+ months

Miss Jessica, Assistant Teacher Miss Jessica graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Intervention Specialist. She started with The Goddard School located in Macedonia in August of 2010. Prior to working at the Macedonia location she worked at The Goddard School located in Broadview Heights for one year. She is certified to work with children from newborn to eight years old. She is pleased to be a part of The Goddard School. Goddard School Tenure: 7.5 years

Miss Liddia, Assistant Teacher Miss Liddia is currently pursuing a double major in Early Childhood Education and as an Intervention Specialist at The University of Akron. She has many years of experience working with children through nannying, tutoring, and volunteer opportunities. Goddard School Tenure: 9 months
