April Fatato - On-Site Owner - As long as she can remember, children have been an inspiration to April. She is inspired by their curiosity towards learning and the discovery of life around them. April's background includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychology/Education and dual Master's degrees in Literacy and Special Education (Birth to Grade Six). She has been a NYC teacher for seven years and a Supervisor for college interns at Westchester Institute for Human Development, which is a tutoring program for foster care children. Despite her experience, April wanted to learn more about early childhood education and its importance in early intervention. She is now pursuing a PhD in Early Childhood Development focusing on the effects of early childhood experiences both cognitively and emotionally. Early in her career, April was a teacher at The Goddard School located in Suffern. She believes in Goddard's philosophy of learning. Goddard's curriculum and developmental milestones provide the well rounded environment that is needed to nurture a happy-confident learner. As an Owner and experienced educator, April believes The Goddard School located in Yorktown Heights provides the perfect fit!
Gloria Fatato - Owner - Gloria was born and raised in Westchester County. At the age of fifteen, she was a recording star and made a few Rock and Roll records that made a little noise. Gloria enjoyed the entertainment business, but decided it wasn't for her. She has three wonderful children, and Gloria and her husband had a successful business for twenty five years. Gloria was excited for a new venture and fell in love with The Goddard School. With Gloria’s business expertise, and her daughter April’s proven experience and success in the field of Education, Gloria is enthusiastic and confident in your family’s experience at The Goddard School located in Yorktown Heights, and strives to provide a warm, loving environment while making a positive difference in your child’s life.
Madelene- Educational Director Madelene is thrilled to join The Goddard School family. She received a Master's Degree in Elementary Education as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Management. Madelene has experience as an early childhood teacher and elementary school teacher. Madelene fostered her love for teaching young children by pioneering writing programs that impacted their learning. Her professional career has given Madelene the drive and motivation to continue to make a difference in children's education. Her love for her three young children and her passion for teaching are evident in her role as Educational Director at The Goddard School.
Miss Robin - Assistant Director Robin has grown up in Yorktown Heights and graduated from The College of New Rochelle with a degree in psychology. She is currently working on a Triple Masters Certification at Mercy College in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education and Special Education. It has been her passion to work with children. She is a true believer that something new is learned every day and no day should pass where you are not asking questions!
Miss Dana - Dana graduated from Plymouth State University with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Studies, Option in Early Care Education. Dana has lived in Yorktown Heights all of her life and believes Yorktown is great place to raise a family and couldn't be more excited to be teaching here as well.
Ms. Jenna- Jenna received a Bachelor of Art in Early Childhood and Childhood Education (Birth-6th grade) and Psychology from Manhattanville College. Jenna continued her education at Manhattanville College and received a Masters in Professional Studies in Special Education and Literacy (Birth-6th grade). It has always been a passion of hers to become a teacher. This dream stems from the admiration and respect she has for her First Grade teacher, who truly made a difference in her life. She thinks that teaching is a wonderful and rewarding profession. It is her hope as a teacher to make an impact in someone’s life. She believes that all children are capable of learning. If given the opportunity, motivation, and tools to do so, every child can succeed. She loves working with children and find that each day is a new and fun learning experience.
Miss Stefanie Ms.Stefanie graduated from the College of New Rochelle with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and is working to complete her Masters in Early childhood. She is continuing her education at the college of New Rochelle in the masters program for early childhood education. Ever since elementary school, Stefanie knew that her passion was to be a teacher for young children.
Ms. Giovanna Giovanna graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Pace University in Applied Psychology and Human Relations and received a Master's Degree from The College of New Rochelle in Early Childhood Education- Dual Certification in Regular and Special Education. Giovanna has been working in the early childhood setting for almost 14 years, both as a regular education and special education teacher.
