Miss Amber - Miss Amber is a co-teacher in our older Pre-K class. She joined our staff in April of 2008. She is working towards a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and has completed four years of course work at Ohio University and South Carolina, Beaufort. Miss Amber has experience working with children while she volunteered in a Kindergarten room for a year and also taught CCD for three years. She is an asset to our staff and the Bumblebee room! She has been nominated our Teacher of the Quarter by her peers for October-December 2008.
Miss Maggie - Miss Maggie is a co-teacher in our Toddler class. She has been an excellent addition to our school since July of 2006. Miss Maggie planned our Summer Camp activities for 2008 as well as implementing a 'Go Green' program. She is our Teacher of the Quarter for July-September 2008.
Miss Leah - Miss Leah has been a teacher in our Pre-Kindergarten room since July of 2007. She is a graduate from BGSU with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She became our Assistant Director in May 2008 and has split her day between classroom and front office. Miss Leah has brought many new and exciting ideas to the school. Among them is her enthusiasm for helping save the earth with a "GO GREEN" program! She is our Teacher of the Quarter for April-June 2008!
Jackie M. - We would like to introduce Miss Jackie, our Teacher of the Quarter!
Miss Jackie has been a co teacher in our Snuggly Sunflower room since February 2007. She is currently attending Tri-C for Early Childhood Education. As one coworker wrote, "Miss Jackie has a wonderful attitude and is such a positive, sincere person. Kindness is such a gift and she is truly a kind person, teacher and coworker!" She has also gone out of her way to make newer teachers feel welcome. We are very proud to have Miss Jackie on our staff.
Mrs. Heather S. - We would like to introduce Mrs. Heather S. as our "Teacher of the Quarter". Mrs. Heather's peers chose her because of her ability to adapt to any situation, bringing love and compassion wherever she is needed.
Mrs. Heather has been a part-time Teacher at Goddard since September, 2003. Even as a 'part-timer' she takes on all the responsibilities of a full-time teacher. She has worked in all our classrooms, from Infants to Pre-Kindergarten. Her gentle ways are so obvious when she is in any of the rooms. She comes to School every day with a big smile on her face and has a wonderful attitude! We are so fortunate to have Mrs. Heather on our faculty! We are also pleased to announce that Mrs. Heather will become a full-time Teacher starting this fall!
We presented Mrs. Heather with a bouquet of flowers, a gas gift card from BP, dinner for her and her husband at a restaurant of her choice and the second parking space for employees!
Miss Becky B. - It was with pleasure that we gave special recognition to Miss Becky, our Pre-K Teacher, at our Pre-Kindergarten graduation this past May. Becky was the first teacher we hired prior to opening the School in January 2001. Becky has touched the lives of well over 300 Goddard School children. Her dedication to teaching young children is remarkable and she has demonstrated over and over again her commitment to excellence in early childhood education.
Every morning at 6:45am Becky walks in the front door with a smile on her face eager to get started on the day's activities. She is enthusiastic about her job and we continually receive accolades from parents and children. Becky is always eager to lend a hand as a mentor to her fellow teachers and pitch in whenever and wherever we need her.
We are pleased to present Becky with a Scholarship in the amount of $500.00 and we encourage her to use it for continuing education in the field of early childhood education. Please extend your congratulations to Becky B.
