We are half way through another school session! During the  school year we have fun-filled activities planned for all ages! Every month we use a different theme to base our lesson plans. Our teachers break the theme into four major categories; Language Center (Expressing Ourselves), Discovery Zone (Exploring Our World), Creative Corner (Developing Our Imaginations) and Think Tank (Building Our Skills). To learn more, please come by or call to schedule a personalized tour!

With Summer not too far away, we look forward to all our fun-filled summer "camp" program activities... we had a wonderful season last year! Our theme  was "HOORAY FOR THE U.S.A.!" We explored 'A New York State of Mind', 'Alaskan Adventures', 'Texas Two-Step', Hawaiian Hideaway' and several other fun topics. We had many fun visitors come to school and we even had a couple field trips for our older 'campers.' Water Days were a big part of our fun, we got cooled off as we turn on the sprinklers, fill up the sensory tables and tossed water toys in the mix! As important as the learning component is to parents, an equally important factor is the opportunity for children to socialize and build memories that will last a lifetime through summertime fun, games and activities. Every aspect of the Summer Program at The Goddard School® takes these corresponding needs into account. We are gearing up for another fun filled Summer Program in 2012!  Details will be posted here soon so be sure to check back.

To enhance the curriculum in all classrooms we have incorporated the following resources:
  • Time to Sign - introduces infants/toddlers to American Sign Language.
  • B.A.S.E. for Fitness - focuses on Balance, Agility, Strength and Endurance and is designed to expose children to the skills necessary to support their active lives.
  • The Goddard Guide to Getting Along - teaches the importance of courtesy and respect.
  • Apple Blossom Curriculum by Yoga School - utilizes yoga to enhance cross-curricular learning for children ages Infant through Pre-Kindergarten.
  • Music & Movement - Miss Brittany from the 'Beck Center for the Arts' pays us a visit each Thursday morning and brings her guitar and other fun instruments. The children help Miss Brittany play each instrument as they sing and dance to the musical beat!
  • Foreign Language - Senora Susan visits each week to enhance Spanish in our curriculum.
