Welcome to The Goddard School® located in Marshallton, which is conveniently located at the intersection of Route 162 and Sugarsbridge Road in West Chester, PA. Opened in 1990, as the very first Goddard School, we are situated on three rural acres in a 100 year old historical building! Miss Wendy and Mr.Richie are the on-site Owner-Operators of this School. We also own The Goddard School located in Exton, PA. Miss Christine is our awesome Director who just celebrated her 7 year anniversary with us.
The Goddard School® is a private preschool offering extended hours for working parents. Our programs are designed for children six weeks to six years of age. We offer two-, three-, four- or five-day program options, as well as full- and half-day programs. We are licensed by both the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare and the Department of Education.
We are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. year-round. Our School year runs from September through mid-June, and from mid-June through the end of August we offer our "Camp Goddard" program. We continue to run an amazing full day, private Kindergarten program that is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, and is taught by a PA certified Elementary Education Teacher.
In addition to low staff turnover, many of the children enroll as infants or toddlers and stay through completion of our kindergarten program. This stability provides for a friendly family atmosphere, and encourages parent involvement.
We take great pride in our faculty. Our experienced and degreed teachers encourage children to explore, dream and learn in our safe and stimulating environment. We are continually adding exciting enhancements to our already strong curriculum such as Apple Blossom Yoga, Time to Sign™ American Sign Language for children, and the Goddard Guide to Getting Along™!
While upholding Goddard's high level of standards and philosophy of education through play, we are proud of the individual care and creativity demonstrated by each classroom's teaching team. All class goals and objectives are an outgrowth of a genuine concern for children.
