Suzanne Oxley, Director - Suzanne is excited to be here as the Director of The Goddard School! She is originally from Long Island, New York, and has lived in North Carolina for over 15 years. Suzanne graduated from Molloy College with a BS in Elementary and Special Education and attended Long Island University to obtain her MS in Special Education. Ms. Suzanne also became a LPN and worked as a nurse for a year. She opened and owned a Tutor Time childcare center for seven years and has a total of 18 years working with young children in different capacities. Suzanne also has been blessed with beautiful twins who also attend The Goddard School. Ms. Suzanne looks forward to working with all the faculty and children at The Goddard School.
Cherie W. Cherie is very excited to be Co-Director at The Goddard School. In addition to her degree in Early Childhood, she has 11 years experience working with infants through preschoolers and 13 years of preschool administration. Cherie is originally from Long Island, NY and loves working in such a quality program. She thinks the FLEXTM Learning Program is the perfect balance to fostering children's love of learning!
Dolores P. -
Ms. Dolores is the Co-Lead Teacher in our Infant classroom and has been certified by the state of North Carolina as a Lead Teacher. She is married with two daughters of her own and has over three years experience working with school-age children as a group leader in an after-school program. Ms. Delores is very excited to be a part of the Goddard family and is very much looking forward to working with your family.
Marybeth M. - Ms. Marybeth is a Co-Lead Teacher in our Infant classroom. Marybeth has over five years of experience working with infants, is a mother to two children and is excited to work with your babies at The Goddard School!
Ashley C. Ashley is Co-Lead Teacher in the First Steps classroom and has earned her degree in Birth through Kindergarten Education from Western Carolina University. She has 13 years experience working with young children and absolutely loves every minute of it! Ashley is very excited to be part of The Goddard School family!
Claudia L. Claudia is Co-Lead Teacher in our First Steps classroom. She holds a degree in Child Development and has been working with young children for 10 years. She feels her specialty is definitely with infants and toddlers. Claudia is very excited to teach at The Goddard School and is impressed with what is incorporated in the FLEX Learning ProgramTM.
Annie N. Annie is Co-Lead Teacher in our young toddler classroom and received her Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. Annie looks forward to spending time with the children in her class each day and enjoys using her education to enhance the children's experience. She looks forward to meeting you and your child!
Angela W. Angela is Co-Lead Teacher of our young toddler classroom. She earned her degree in Elementary Education in Greenville, South Carolina and has 6 years experience working with school age children. Angela spent 7 years at home raising her 3 beautiful children and is now excited to be back in the classroom utilizing her many teaching skills. Angela is extremely excited to be a part of your child's preschool experience!
Robin C. - Ms. Robin is a Co-Lead Teacher in our two year old classroom. She is the mother of two wonderful daughters of her own. Through volunteering in her community she became highly interested in working with young children and received a degree in Early Care and Education. She comes from a very large family of eight brothers and sisters. Ms. Robin has volunteered in local schools, family shelters, neighborhoods and churches. Her mission now is to care for, love, support and provide a quality education for the two-year-old children in her class.
Amanda L. Amanda is Co-Lead Teacher in our 2 year old classroom. She is originally from New Jersey where she graduated from Gloucester County College with a degree in Psychology. She has additional studies in Early Childhood and is very proud of the national awards she has won for her lesson planning. Amanda has 12 years experience working in preschool and has enjoyed her 4 years as part of The Goddard School. She has worked at The Goddard School located in both Mullica Hill, NJ and Charlotte, NC. We are thrilled to have her join our Goddard School family here in Waxhaw. Amanda enjoys creating a safe, loving and educational classroom for all her students. She is delighted to have both her beautiful daughters join her at The Goddard School as well.
Heather G. Heather is Co-Lead Teacher in our Preschool 1 classroom and holds a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Winthrop University. She has worked in a preschool environment in different capacities for the past 10 years and is so proud to be a part of The Goddard School!
Kelly D. - Ms. Kelly is a Co-Lead Teacher in our Preschool 2 classroom. Kelly graduated from UNC Charlotte with a degree in Elementary Education and is very excited to be working with your children at The Goddard School!
Megan R. - Ms. Megan is Co-Lead Teacher of one of our Pre-K classrooms. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in Elementary Education. Ms. Megan has over a year of experience working with young children. She is very excited to be working at The Goddard School!
Meredith T. Meredith is Co-Lead Teacher of one of our Pre-K classrooms and was raised in Charlotte. She earned her BA Degree in Elementary Education from UNC - Greensboro. Meredith has over 5 years experience working with young children. We are extremely pleased to include Meredith as part of our faculty!
Heather C. - Ms. Heather is one of the Co-Lead Teachers in our Pre-K classroom and graduated from UNCA with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. After graduation, she worked with children with special needs while working on her Master's degree in Special Education. She has also provided in-home childcare and has previous experience working with Pre-K children. Ms. Heather finds teaching to be very rewarding and looks forward to spending each day with your children!
Angelique V. - Ms. Angelique grew up in Boston, Massachusetts and is one of our Co-Lead Teachers in our Pre-K classroom. She received a Bachelor's degree in Communications/Psychology from Appalachian State University and is certified as a Lead Teacher by the state of North Carolina. She has five years of experience working with young children and enjoys being a positive influence on the children and looks forward to working with your child!
Amanda L. Amanda is part of our Educational Support Team and has a degree in Early Childhood Education. She originally worked at the Ballantyne location, where she was Co-Lead Teacher in the two year old classroom. When she transferred to the Waxhaw location, she became part of the support team. Amanda has learned great new teaching strategies working at The Goddard School and she is confident these experiences will help her grow.
Hayley T. - Ms. Hayley, our kitchen support, is a recent graduate from The University of South Carolina with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. She is extremely excited to be a part of the Goddard family and to interact with your children on a daily basis.
