Shelley Alexander, Owner - Shelley is a former teacher and school principal. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Special Education from Mount Saint Mary College. Her Master's of Science degree in Reading is from C.W. Post, Long Island University. A certificate of advanced study from S.U.N.Y. New Paltz and a Doctor of Education degree from Teachers College, Columbia University are both in the area of Educational Administration. Dr. Alexander is the mother of seven children ranging in age from seven to nineteen years. She is passionate about children and dedicated to providing the very best education and care for the children at her school.
Bruce Alexander, Owner - Bruce has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Lehigh University. He is the father of seven wonderful children and has enjoyed making a career change from the business world to working with his wife at The Goddard School® located in Walpole.
Kristin T. - Kristin is our full-time Assistant Director. This is her sixth year at our School. She has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and English from Worcester State College. Kristin is currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in Education at Lesley University. She has a great deal of experience working with young children. Kristin loves that every day is different. "You never know what children are going to say! I also love to see a child grasp a concept. You can't beat all the hugs and kisses every day!" Kristin loves working with her hands. "I enjoy hands-on activities! I am a tomboy at heart!"
Melissa D. - Melissa is a Teacher in our Dolphins class for children in Pre-Kindergarten. This is her seventh year at our School. She has a Bachelor's degree in History and French Literature from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. Her teaching certificate is from Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts. Melissa taught preschool for four years prior to joining our faculty. "I love that children have so many questions!" Melissa is the mother of two daughters and has lived in England and France!
Nicole T. - Nicole is a Teacher in the Sea Turtle room for the children in our Get Set program. She is starting her sixth year with us. Nicole is a graduate of King Philip High School and a 2006 graduate of Mount Ida College with an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. Nicole loves to dance and hopes someday to teach dance to young children. Nicole says, "I love working with children because their minds are so open to everything and they can learn so much." Nicole's warm smile and dedication to the infants enhances our program.
Tyler A. - Tyler is an Assistant Teacher in our Preschool classroom. He is currently a Senior at Xaverian Brothers High School and participates on winter and spring track teams. Tyler enjoys reading and creating games for children to play. His bright smile and ability to make children feel important is a great asset.
Elaine D. - Elaine is our Infant room teacher and afternoon director. She is a graduate of Dean College. She is Lead Certified in Infants, Toddlers and Preschool, as well as Director Two qualified. Elaine has been working with young children for over twenty years. Elaine loves working with young children because they are fun to be with. "You never know how they will look at things."
Nancy L. - Nancy is one of our Infant teachers in the Seashell classroom. She owned her own home daycare for over seventeen years and additionally taught in a preschool for three years prior to working at our School. Nancy loves watching the children grow and learn. "It is rewarding to see their smiles while they play!"
Miss Catherine K. Miss Catherine is a teacher in our Seahorses Toddler room. She previously worked as a pediatric practical nurse and as a teacher assistant with a special needs student for many years. Miss Catherine has a very warm and loving personality which makes our children feel safe and loved. She is also the mother of three grown sons.
Miss Amanda C. Miss Amanda is the lead teacher in our Manta Rays Preschool classroom. She currently attends Bridgewater State University, majoring in Psychology and Early Education. She has taught dance for five years and has been a substitute teacher in the Canton Elementary Schools. She loves children's carefree attitude and enjoys playing with them and having fun.
Jessica R. Miss Jessica is our lead teacher in the Dolphins Prekindergarten classroom. She has an Associates degree in Liberal Studies from Dean College and a Bachelors degree in Human Science and Services from the University of Rhode Island.
Teri L. Miss Teri is an assistant teacher in our Seahorses young toddler classroom. She knows how to engage her students in purposeful play and makes learning fun. Teri was born and raised in Texas and is adjusting to the New England culture and weather! She has extensive experience working with young children in Texas. We are so fortunate to have her here!
Carol N. Miss Carol is one of our preschool teachers working with the three-, four- and five-year-olds. She has extensive experience working with all ages of children including those with special needs. Carol is a very caring and loving person and works closely with the classroom teachers to create an inviting learning environment.
Claire M. Miss Claire is one of our developmental kindergarten teachers in the Seals classroom. She is a graduate of St. Michael's College with a degree in elementary education. Her creativity is amazing and she brings out the best in all of her students. Claire is fluent in Spanish, loves to travel and is very involved in service projects.
