Employee of the Month: Ms. Tiffany
Ms. Tiffany is our fantastic Happy Hummingbird's Teacher! She is always full of love and understanding for her three year old students. She has great energy and always has such wonderful activities for her students. Thank you Ms. Tiffany for always doing such a wonderful job!
On-Site Owner - Hello, my name is Angela Gapp and I am very proud to be the on-site Owner at The Goddard School® located in Shiloh, Illinois. My husband Josh and I moved our two children to the St. Louis area almost three years ago from North Dakota and we are enjoying every minute of our time here. I have enjoyed working with children all my life. I received my Master's degree in Early Childhood from the University of North Dakota, where I focused my studies on early childhood centers and learning through play. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my own children, and my husband, Josh. I am honored to bring The Goddard School® to this wonderful Illinois community and cannot wait to meet you and your children. If you have any questions, you will find me at the School and I will be very happy to meet and talk with you.
Education Director - My name is Victoria and I have my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I have ten years of classroom teaching experience and nine years of managerial experience. I am deeply committed to high quality education for children of all ages. I have been married to my wonderful husband for thirteen years. We have three beautiful daughters. I love spending time with my family, gardening, swimming and playing outside.
Assistant Director - My name is Nancy T. and I have been working with children for nine years. I have taught swimming lessons, worked as a Camp Counselor and a School-Age Childcare Assistant for an after-school program. I live in New Baden with my husband. We have been married for three and a half years and have a wonderful little boy. I have my Associate's degree in Art from Southwestern Illinois College and am looking forward to continuing my education in the near future.
Busy Bees Head Teacher (ages 6 weeks to 15 months) - Latonya W. is the Head Teacher in our Busy Bees Head classroom. She absolutely loves and adores children. Latonya believes that as caregivers, teachers and parents owe children the best that we can offer. She has eleven years of experience working with children in school, daycare, church and home settings. Latonya is also a coordinator for vacation bible school. She has one more class to complete to receive her Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development and then plans to pursue a Bachelor’s degree. “It is a great pleasure for me to be a part of The Goddard School® team. I will do my best every day to create an environment where children can learn, play and grow,” adds Latonya.
Busy Bees Assistant Teacher (ages 6 weeks to 15 months) - Lindsay B. is an Assistant Teacher in our Busy Bees classroom. She loves having the privilege of being a part of a small child's first years in this great big world. Lindsay has worked at The Goddard School® for a year and a half. Prior to joining this school, she worked at a Goddard School in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her experience includes working with preschool children of all ages and has also been very involved in teaching Sunday School and the children’s choir at her church.
Cuddly Koalas Teacher (ages 15 months to 20 months) - Erin R. is the Lead Teacher in our Cuddly Koalas classroom. She graduated from Ivy Tech State College in Indiana and earned an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. Erin plans to go back to school soon to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Her ultimate goal is to be a First Grade Teacher!
Swimming Swans Head Teacher (Ages 18 months to 24 months) - My name is Mallory and I am thrilled to teach at The Goddard School®! I have my Associate's of Arts degree from Southwestern Illinois College and will soon have my Associate's in Fine Arts from the same school. I am also going to UMSL working towards my Early Childhood Education degree. I have previously worked with children in a grade school setting for two years. I love watching children learn and grow. Everyday is new and exciting, which makes The Goddard School® such a great place to be!
Swimming Swan Co-Teacher (ages 18 to 24 months) - Jane B. is a Co-Teacher in our Swimming Swan classroom. She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with an Elementary Education certificate. She absolutely loves working with children and is very excited to be working at The Goddard School®.
Friendly Ferret Head Teacher (Ages 24 to 30 months) - My name is Mitsue M. and I am from Okinawa, Japan. It is a small island and a beautiful place! I graduated from Kyusyu Junior College of Kinki University of Japan with an Early Childhood Education degree. I am still learning from all of the children! I am married and my husband and I have two young daughters. We also have two dogs and one cat. I am a busy mom! Children are wonderful treasures, and it is very exciting to learn and grow together with them. I enjoy working at The Goddard School®!
Friendly Ferrets Assistant Teacher (Ages 24 months to 30 months) - My name is Jessica R. and it is my pleasure to be part of the Goddard team! I have been working with children for the past three years. Once I started working with children, I didn't want to stop. I plan on furthering my education in the near future. I recently served four years in the United States Navy. I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My boyfriend and I have traveled a lot and in our spare time, we enjoy the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Playful Peacocks Teacher (ages 30 months to 36 months) - Michelle R. graduated from S.I.U.E. with a degree in Elementary Education. She substituted for two years in the public school system and has worked in childcare since 2004. Her experience includes a position as Lead Teacher in a three year old classroom. She is now a teacher in our Playful Peacock room and is enjoying every minute of it. "We are growing, playing, laughing and learning together everyday," adds Michelle.
Playful Peacocks Assistant Teacher (Ages 30 months to 36 months) - My name is Shana G. I am the Peacock's Assistant Teacher. I have lived in Belleville my whole life. I just turned 23 in April. I am an only child. I love going to Six Flags and swimming in the summer. I am very involved in my church. I also love going to Cardinal games and I love playing tennis and volleyball at the park every Sunday night.
Happy Hummingbird Head Teacher ( 3 year olds) - Tiffany F. attended Althoff High School and graduated from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville with a degree in Psychology. She has ten years experience working in the childcare field and is excited to join The Goddard School® located in the Village of Shiloh.
Happy Hummingbird Assistant Teacher (3 years old) - Nichole M. is an Assistant Teacher in our Happy Hummingbird classroom. She is pursuing a degree in Child Psychology and hopes to one day earn a PhD. Her mother dedicated her life to helping children and has inspired Nichole to do the same. She is very excited to be a part of The Goddard School® team and to have the opportunity to become a part of these amazing children's lives.
Wading Walrus Head Teacher (ages 3 and 4 years) - Erica graduated from Mascoutah High School and currently attends S.W.I.C. She enjoys working with children and switched her major from Child Psychology to Elementary Education as she prefers to work with children in a classroom setting. Her experience also includes teaching Sunday School to preschool-age children at her church. Erica says, “Each child reminds me of how much I enjoy what I do!”
Curious Penguin Head Teacher (Pre-K) - Alisha attended Ohio State University where she majored in Early Childhood Development and Education and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Ecology. Her childcare experience began as a teenager when she started babysitting. While in college she accepted a job as a student assistant for the OSU Childcare Center. There she was able to work with children from the ages of six weeks to kindergarten. After graduation she moved to Illinois and worked at a local childcare center for two years.
Traveling Turtles Head Teacher (Pre-K) - My name is Yadira B. I have been teaching for four years, but have had a love for children and education since I can remember. I just moved to Illinois recently from New York. I was born and raised there with my loving parents and seven brothers and sisters. I got married on October seventh to my soulmate. He is in the Air Force, hence the reason for our move to Illinois. I am so glad to be a part of the Goddard family. I look forward to the new school year; it’s going to be great!

Traveling Turtles Assistant Teacher (Pre-K) - My name is Jaime G. I am the youngest of four children and part of a military family. I spent 13 years as a Girl Scout and received my Girl Scout Gold Award (the highest award given to a Girl Scout) in 2004. My last two years in Girl Scouts I lead my own Daisy troop (Kindergarten level) and that is when I fell in love with children. I am currently attending Southwestern Illinois College and will graduate with an Associate's degree in Elementary Education in December 2007. I am excited to work at The Goddard School® located in the Village of Shiloh.
Assistant Teacher - Carol J. is an Assistant Teacher at our School and joined our team in May of 2007. After attending Southwestern Illinois College, Carol spent ten years working as a secretary at Southwestern Bell. Her next endeavor was working for St. Paul’s Mom’s Day Out program in Belleville. She has two years of experience teaching three year olds, eighteen years of experience teaching four year olds and teaches Sunday School to first, second and third graders. “I have enjoyed my career with children and especially enjoy watching them grow and learn -- I have also met a lot of wonderful families along the way,” adds Carol.
Cook - Brenda is our amazing Cook and prepares meals for the children at The Goddard School®.
