Ellen Ley, On-Site Owner - My husband, Wes, and I have four children of whom we are very proud. Our experience in raising our children instilled in us the importance of a safe, nurturing and enriching learning environment being available to parents. We look forward to building a relationship with our families as we grow together.

Meghan Laube- Assistant Director - Miss Meghan has ten years of experience working with children. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Kendall College.

Ms. Michelle H. - Lead Teachers - Infants Ms. Michelle earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Roosevelt University in Sociology with a Minor in Psychology.  She has 11 years of experience working in Early Childhood.  She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Rickelle - Lead Teacher Infants- Ms. Rickelle holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Florida A&M University. She has an ESOL endorsement. She has been working with children from birth to twelve years for over fifteen years. Ms. Rickelle comes to us from Georgia where she was an assistant director / after-school coordinator of a preschool. She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Miss Melissa - Assistant Teacher - Infants Miss Melissa has seventeen years of experience working with children of various ages and abilities. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English Communication from Trinity International University. She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Gloria - Lead Teacher - First Steps - Ms. Gloria graduated from National-Louis University in Evanston with a M.A.T. in Early Childhood Education. She also holds a degree in Psychology from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama. She has worked with infants through two-year-olds. Her work at the School for the Deaf in Jackson, Mississippi, sparked her enthusiasm to enter the education field.  She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Michelle K. - Assistant Teacher - First Steps Ms. Michelle studied Early Childhood Education at Oakton Community College.  She is First Aid and CPR Certified.  Ms. Michelle joined our team in August 2011. 

Ms. Jessica - Lead Teacher - Young Toddlers Ms. Jessica earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Barat College. She has over eight years of experience working with children.  She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Miss Leah - Lead Teacher - Young Toddlers - Miss Leah has fifteen years experience working with infants to adults. Part of that experience was spent with the Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL) where she worked with children with mild to severe disabilities. She is currently working to complete an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education.  She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Miss Jenna - Lead Teacher - Toddlers - Miss Jenna is working towards her Bachelor's degree in Psychology. She has been working with children from toddlers to preschool for four years. She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Miss Elizabeth - Lead Teaching Assistant Miss Elizabeth is working to complete her degree in Early Childhood Education. She has five years experience working with children from infancy to preschool.  She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Miss Chelsea - Lead Teacher - Get Set - Miss Chelsea has an Associate's degree from the College of Lake County and is currently working on a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northeastern University. She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Christine - Lead Teacher - Preschool - Ms. Christine earned her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Dominican University, and holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Augustana College. She has been working with children from infancy through seven years of age over the past ten years as a teacher and a director. Ms Christine loves being with children and creating an environment for them to discover and explore while using their senses and imagination. She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Miss Ashley - Lead Teacher - Preschool - Miss Ashley earned her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Illinois State University. She has over three years experience teaching preschool. She enjoys the opportunity to bring her creativity to the classroom. She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Michelle D. - Lead Teacher - Preschool - Ms. Michelle earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Columbia College. She has been working with children for over ten years. She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Dawn - Lead Teacher - Pre-Kindergarten - Ms. Dawn has been in the education field for twenty years. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish. She has presented at various early childhood conferences, been a director and storyteller. She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Donna - Assistant Teacher - Ms. Donna holds a Bachelor's degree in Music from The University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. She was a preschool teacher's assistant for ten years and taught music for six years. Ms. Donna loves incorporating music and movement in the classroom. She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Tania - Assistant Teacher Ms. Tania has earned her Child Development Associate Certification. Ms. Tania has over seventeen years of experience working in Early Childhood Education. She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Sharon - Assistant Teacher - Ms. Sharon has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Trinity College. Ms. Sharon has worked with children for over twenty years. She is currently pursuing an Early Childhood Certificate at Kendall College. She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Pat - Assistant Teacher - Ms. Pat has enjoyed the past year and a half working with infants and looks forward to nurturing the children in her care at The Goddard School.

Miss Lorette - Chef - Miss Lorette comes to us with much experience in the kitchen. She has a degree in Culinary Arts, has her food license and sanitation license. She has great experience in the kitchen and the children at our school eat very well!

Ms. Amy - Lead Teacher - Get Set Ms. Amy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Child Development form Des Moines Area Community College. She joined our teaching team in November 2011. Ms. Amy has twelve years experience working with children. She is CPR and First Aid Certified.

Ms. Danielle - Lead Teacher Ms. Danielle earned her Bachelor's degree from Illinois State University.  She has been working with children for over five years and is CPR and First Aid certified.

Ms. Linda - Lead Teacher - Preschool  Ms. Linda studied Communications and Performing Arts at Marquette University and earned her Early Childhood Education accreditation from the College of Lake County. She joined our teaching team in August 2011 and has been working with children for nearly twenty years. Ms. Linda is Founder of The Wishing Star Theatre in Libertyville and enjoys giving children an opportunity to express themselves through drama.
