Miss Lexie - Director of Operations - Miss Lexie joined the Goddard family in September of 2006. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Human Development from Seattle Pacific University. Her teaching experience includes three years at a private preschool in Seattle where she taught infants, toddlers and preschoolers. She also has been a private Nanny for a family with an infant and a two-year-old. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, singing and playing the guitar.
Mr. Cameron - Director of Education - Mr. Cameron joined The Goddard School® in July of 2007. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Education and Psychology from Bennington College. Cameron began his career working with children over 18 years ago. He has experience working in preschools, in both teaching and administration. He has also worked as a Social Worker and Child Advocate with The Children’s Relief Nursery in Portland. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, cooking and travel. Cameron also loves spending time outdoors hiking and camping.
Miss Julie - Miss Julie is the Lead Teacher in our Infant classroom. She has seven children of her own and has worked with infants and toddlers for over twenty years. She joined The Goddard School® in August of 2005. She received her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for infants, and recently renewed it by taking additional classes in Early Childhood Development. Julie enjoys working with infants and has a great love of children. She loves to observe infants as they explore their world and play.
Miss Anna - Miss Anna joined The Goddard School® in January of 2007. She is the Lead Teacher in the Scouts classroom. Anna received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development from Washington State University. Her experience includes eight years working with infants through school-age children in larger school-based and Montessori Early Childhood programs. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and photography. She also loves spending time with her four nephews.
Miss Kara - Miss Kara joined The Goddard School® in May of 2006. She is the Lead Teacher in the Discoverers classroom. She received her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Mt. Hood Community College. Kara has accumulated over 400-hours as a student teacher.
Miss Dana - Miss Dana joined The Goddard School® in January of 2006. She is a Lead Teacher in the Pathfinders classroom. She worked with children since she was 11 years old. Dana attended Mt. Hood Community College for two years, where she studied Early Childhood Education. She worked in several childcare centers and most recently ran her own daycare from home for three years. She is the mother of four children.
Miss Stephanie - Miss Stephanie joined The Goddard School® in March of 2007. She is the Lead Teacher in our Rangers classroom. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lewis and Clark College. Her experience working with children includes work as a private Nanny, an internship at a therapeutic preschool, and teaching preschool at another childcare center.
Miss Shelby - Miss Shelby joined The Goddard School® in June of 2007. She is the Lead Teacher in our Adventurers classroom. She has her Associate’s degree in Child Psychology from Columbia College in Missouri. Shelby has worked with children of various ages for twenty-two years. She's also been an Assistant Director and a Director for another preschool in the Vancouver area. In her spare time, she enjoys writing, decorating and working in the yard.
Miss Stephanie - Miss Stephanie joined The Goddard School® in August of 2006. She is our Assistant Teacher in the Voyagers classroom. She's taken Early Childhood Education credits and Child Development classes to prepare herself for her new career. She plans to continue her education and pursue her degree in Early Childhood at Clark College.
Miss Kim - Miss Kim joined The Goddard School® in January of 2007. She substitutes as a Floater for our school. She is currently attending Clark College, to complete her Associate's degree in Education and Business. Her experience working with children includes eleven years with Evergreen School District at Mill Plain Elementary working in the special education program. Kim's speciality is working with children who have visual or behavioral adaptation challenges as well as autism.
Miss Rochelle - Miss Rochelle joined The Goddard School® in November of 2006. She is an Assistant Teacher and Floater for our school. She has her Associate’s degree in General Studies from Clark College, and hopes to finish her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education within the next two years. Her experience working with children includes work as a private Nanny, as well as teaching at a large childcare center in the Vancouver area.
Miss Cheryl - Miss Cheryl joined The Goddard School® in February of 2006. She is currently an Assistant Teacher in our Scouts classroom. She is majoring in Early Childhood Development at Clark Community College with the goal of becoming a Kindergarten teacher.
Miss Hollie - Miss Hollie joined The Goddard School® in March of 2007 and is an Assistant Teacher and Floater for our school. Teaching at a preschool is new to her but she has lots of experience working with children in various settings. She is a licensed Massage Therapist and completed her certificate at Cedar Mountain School of Massage Therapy in Vancouver.
Miss Lisa - Miss Lisa joined The Goddard School® in March of 2007 and is an Assistant Teacher and Floater for our school. She has dedicated herself to working with children and brings experience with children from different settings and age groups. She has an Associate’s degree from Clark College and is enrolled in the Elementary Education program at Washington State University in Vancouver.
Miss Bobbie - Miss Bobbie joined The Goddard School® in August of 2006 and is a Lead Teacher in our Infant classroom. She returned to teaching after spending a year helping her family get acclimated by a move to the state of Washington. Prior to coming to Vancouver, she taught preschool for Queen Emma Preschool in Hawaii for sixteen years. She received her Early Childhood Education credits from Honolulu Community College.
Miss Mackenzie - Miss Mackenzie joined The Goddard School® in June of 2007 and is an Assistant Teacher and Floater for our school. She is committed to working with children and has experience as an intern with two different preschools and also as a dance teacher for various age groups. She is currently attending Washington State University to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
Mr. Matt - Mr. Matt joined The Goddard School® in June of 2007. He is an Assistant Teacher in our Rangers classroom. He has 40 credit hours of Early Childhood Education classes. Matt worked as a Lead Teacher in a preschool classroom for four years prior to joining our school. He has dedicated himself to working with young children.
Miss Ashley - Miss Ashley joined The Goddard School® in August of 2007 and is an Assistant Teacher in our Discoverers classroom. She graduated from Camas High School and will enter the Early Childhood Education program at Clark College this year. Her experience working with children includes three years as a private Dance Instructor for Kinderdance of Clark County.
Miss Katy - Miss Katy joined The Goddard School® in August of 2007 and is currently a Lead Teacher in our Adventurers classroom. She is working on her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Clark College and expects to finish it within the next year. Her experience working with children includes four years as an Assistant Teacher at Sunshine Learning Center, as well as three years as a Nanny for Caregivers Nanny Agency.
Miss Emily - Miss Emily joined The Goddard School® in November of 2007 and is currently an Assistant Teacher and Floater. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Oregon. Her experience working with children includes working as a private Nanny for several years for two families.
Miss Patricia - Miss Patricia joined The Goddard School® in September of 2005. She is substitutes as a Teacher for our school. She is originally from Chile, but has lived in the United States for over 17 years. She speaks both Spanish and English.
Miss Kate - Miss Kate started working at Goddard in January of 2008. She is very passionate about education and comes from a family with many professional teachers. Previously, she worked at a small country school in Western Australia. She has a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts as well as a diploma of Education from the Edith Cowen University in Australia. Her experience includes one year of teaching Art, Society and Environment as well as Health at primary and secondary schools. She also volunteered at a school for children with special needs for three years.
Miss Laurie - Miss Laurie started working at Goddard in March of 2006. She is a Lead Teacher in the Voyagers classroom. Her education includes a Master's degree in Education and a teaching certificate in the state of Washington. Prior to teaching at The Goddard School®, she taught a combined Third and Fourth Grade classroom at a private school.
Miss Calah - Miss Calah has worked at The Goddard School® since September of 2008. She is a Lead Teacher in our Explorers classroom. Her experience with children includes being an intern at the Washington State University Child Development Program, Harmony Elementary, and DSHS Division of Developmental Disabilities. She graduated from Washington State University- Vancouver in May of 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development. She is also an active Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer through the YWCA in Vancouver.
Miss Anne - Miss Anne has worked at The Goddard School® since October of 2006. She is a Lead Teacher in our Pathfinders classroom. She has a Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, specializing in Family Studies, from Central Washington University. Her experience working with children includes seven years in preschools, working with children from four week old to twelve-years-old.
Miss Tala - Miss Tala has worked at our school since August of 2008. She is an Assistant Teacher and Floater. She is attending Washington State University-Vancouver and is working to earn her degree in Biology. Her experience includes working at a kid's club in Camas and being a Nanny.
Miss Ashley - Miss Ashley joined our school in November of 2008 as an Assistant Teacher. She is currently attending Clark College and plans to graduate in March of 2009. Her future includes continuing her education at Washington State University to receive a degree in Elementary Education.
Miss Leila - Miss Leila joined our school in December of 2008 as an Assistant Teacher. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis and Clark College. She has experience as an Assistant Teacher in both a third grade class as well as a kindergarten class. She also has experience working in a small childcare center.
Miss Juliana - Miss Juliana joined our school in November of 2008. She is a Lead Teacher in our Pre-Kindergarten program. She graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development. She also has an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has experience as a Lead Teacher at Clark College in the early childhood education lab and a Lead Teacher for the YWCA in their childcare program. She is the proud mother of two children and three grandchildren.
