Miss Hillary-Owner - Miss Hillary joined our team November of 2010 as a partial owner. Prior to her move to The Goddard School, she worked for IBM Global Services. Miss Hillary has two children enrolled in our School as well as two children that have graduated from our School. She is very excited to be able to combine her love of children with the desire to have a positive impact on so many young lives!
Miss Emily - Owner Miss Emily joined the The Goddard School in November of 2007 and is the Owner, along with Hillary, of the school. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Oregon. Her experience working with children includes working as a private nanny for several years for two families.
Mr. Cameron - Director of Education -Director Of The Year 2010 Mr. Cameron joined The Goddard School in July of 2007. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Education and Psychology from Bennington College. Cameron began his career working with children over 18 years ago. He has experience working in preschools, in both teaching and administration. He has also worked as a Social Worker and Child Advocate with The Children’s Relief Nursery in Portland.
Miss Kara - Assistant Director - Miss Kara earned her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Mt. Hood Community College. She has worked with young children since 2000 and joined our faculty in May of 2006. Initially, she taught in the Pre-Toddlers room. She then transitioned to the Toddlers room where she taught for three years.
Miss Julie - Miss Julie is the Lead Teacher in our Infant classroom. She has seven children of her own and has worked with infants and toddlers for over twenty years. She joined The Goddard School® in August of 2005. She received her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for infants, and recently renewed it by taking additional classes in Early Childhood Development. Julie enjoys working with infants and has a great love of children. She loves to observe infants as they explore their world and play.
Miss DJ - Miss DJ joined our team in August 2010 as a teacher's assistant in our Infant room. She worked as a nanny for a year prior to joining The Goddard School. Miss DJ hopes to pursue her education in Early Childhood Education in the near future. Miss DJ is very excited to be part of your children's learning experience.
Miss Bobbie Miss Bobbie rejoined our team August of 2011 as our Lead First Step Teacher. She received her ECE credits from Honolulu Community College and taught in a preschool in Hawaii for 16 years before moving to Washington.
Miss Beth Ann - Miss Beth Ann joined our School in January of 2011 as one of our float teachers. She is currently an assistant in our First Steps classroom. Miss Beth Ann has received her certification in Early Childhood Education from Clark College. Her experience includes working in preschools in the Vancouver area and Head Start.
Miss Cheryl - Miss Cheryl joined The Goddard School located in Vancouver in February of 2006. She is currently a Co-Lead Teacher in our Pre-Toddlers classroom. Miss Cheryl received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2010 and is currently working on her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Miss Sarah Miss Sarah joined our team in 2011 as our Co-Lead Teacher in our Pre-Toddler classroom. Her experience includes teaching in Tacoma, where she obtained her degree from the University of Washington, as well as teaching English in Korea.
Miss Rose - Miss Rose joined our school in January of 2011 as our Lead Get Set teacher. Miss Rose graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Social Sciences. She has been working with young children for many years in both a childcare facility and as a nanny.
Miss Jen - Miss Jen joined our school in January of 2011 as the assistant teacher in the Get Set classroom. Miss Jen majored in Early Childhood Education at Western Baptist College. Her experience with children includes various settings both in schools and as a volunteer.
Miss Laurie - Miss Laurie started working at The Goddard School in March of 2006. She is a Co-Lead Teacher in the Get Set classroom. Her education includes a Master's degree in Education and a teaching certificate in the State of Washington. Prior to teaching at The Goddard School, she taught a combined Third and Fourth Grade classroom at a private school.
Ms. Brittnie - Ms. Brittnie joined our team in January of 2010 as the Co-Teacher in our Get Set room. Brittnie is currently studying Psychology as well as Early Childhood Education at Concordia University. Her experience also includes teaching swimming lessons for five years as a Red Cross Instructor.
Miss Alina - Miss Alina is the Co-Lead Teacher in one of the Preschool classrooms at The Goddard School. She started in 2009. She is finishing her Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Clark College and then plans to attend Washington State University. She has worked with children since 2006 and absolutely loves it!
Miss Brittney Miss Brittney joined our team September of 2011 as a Co-Lead Teacher in our Preschool program. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and has 3 years experience teaching in a preschool classroom.
Miss Meghan Miss Meghan joined our school September of 2011 a Lead Teacher in our Preschool program. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in Human Development from WSU-Vancouver. She has worked with children through several programs, including, Adopt-A-Class, AHHS, and Junior Achievement.
Mr. Matt - Mr. Matt joined The Goddard School located in Vancouver in June of 2007. He is an Assistant Teacher in our Preschool program. . He has 40 credit hours of Early Childhood Education classes. Matt worked as a Lead Teacher in a preschool classroom for four years prior to joining our faculty.
Miss Katy - Miss Katy joined The Goddard School in August of 2007 and is currently a Co-Lead Teacher in one of our Pre-Kindergarten classrooms. She is working on her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Clark College and expects to finish it within the next year. Her experience working with children includes four years as an Assistant Teacher at Sunshine Learning Center, as well as three years as a Nanny for Caregivers Nanny Agency.
Miss Calah - Miss Calah has worked at The Goddard School since September of 2008. She is a Co-Lead Teacher in one of our Pre-Kindergarten classrooms. Her experience with children includes interning at the Washington State University Child Development Program, Harmony Elementary, and DSHS Division of Developmental Disabilities. She graduated from Washington State University- Vancouver with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development. She is also an active Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer through the YWCA in Vancouver.
Miss Juliana - Miss Juliana joined our school in November of 2008. She is a Lead Teacher in our Pre-Kindergarten program. She graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development. She also has an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has experience as a Lead Teacher at Clark College in the early childhood education lab and a Lead Teacher for the YWCA in their childcare program. She is the proud mother of two children and three grandchildren.
Ms. Lila - Ms. Lila joined our team in January of 2010. She is an assistant teacher in one of our Pre-Kindergarten class and helps implement our Spanish program as it is her native language. Ms. Lila has a Bachelor's degree in Law as well as an Early Childhood Education certificate and a Child Development certificate from PCC. She also spent several years working at The Goddard School located in Hillsboro before moving to Washington and joining our team.
Miss Dana - Miss Dana joined The Goddard School in January of 2006. She is currently a member of our float staff.. She has worked with children since she was 11 years old. Dana attended Mt. Hood Community College for two years, where she studied Early Childhood Education. She worked in several childcare centers and most recently ran her own daycare from home for three years. She is the mother of four children.
Miss Ashley - Miss Ashley joined The Goddard School in August of 2007 and is an Assistant Teacher and Floater in the school. She graduated from Camas High School and will enter the Early Childhood Education program at Clark College this year. Her experience working with children includes three years as a private Dance Instructor for Kinderdance of Clark County.
Mr. Nick - Mr. Nick joined our school in August of 2009. He has worked with young children for over six years. He is currently a student at Clark College.
Miss Amber - Miss Amber joined our team in July of 2010 as one of our float staff. She has an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Mt. Hood Community College. Miss Amber has several years of experience in childcare and is thrilled to be on our team!
Miss Autum Miss Autum joined our faculty in 2011 as a floater. She is currently working on her degree in Early Childhood Education at Penn Foster University. Teaching is her passion and she is excited to share in the joy and pride of watching your children grow and learn.
