Choosing Childcare

Welcome to The Goddard School® located in Springfield! Enrollment began January 10, 2005. Please call us to schedule a tour of our facility. We look forward to meeting your family and to showing you our School!

The Goddard School® can make a positive difference in your child's life. Our warm, loving atmosphere features year-round, part-time and extended day programs available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our program is designed to enhance the emotional, social, intellectual and physical development of your child from six weeks to six years of age. We also offer after-school enrichment and summer programs for children up to eight years of age.

We emphasize a combination of child-directed and teacher-directed learning, using a Piaget-based curriculum that allows for teacher creativity and developmental goals. Areas of growth and development are highlighted on our daily lesson plans, which our teachers bring to life in appropriate and attainable ways. Our Lead Teachers are trained in Early Childhood or closely-related fields. Our faculty is certified in First Aid and CPR.

Children are encouraged to progress at their own pace, according to their individual needs and abilities, in the Cognitive, Creative Art, Dramatic Play, Language Arts, Motor, Music and Movement and Science areas. Our Preschool classrooms each include their own computers. The Trampoline™ Spanish program, Music Preludes® program, Quirkles Science curriculum, B.A.S.E. Fitness, Dickerson Park Zoo Class and the Library's Stories to Go program enrich each child's education without any additional fees.

Our state-of-the-art, custom designed building has a security entrance and been planned to provide a safe, healthy and stimulating environment. Two separate playgrounds have been designed to challenge and delight your child at every age.
