In addition to our weekly theme, we also offer the following enrichments, free of charge, into our curriculum everyday.
• Spanish - Teachers use this program to introduce children to another language through games, songs, stories and active play.
• Yoga - Teachers use this program to enhance cross-curricular learning through motor skills, science, math, language arts and social skills. By using nature, animals, and a little imagination, children will gain improvement in focus, body awareness, control, balance, creativity and flexibility.
• Music Appreciation - Teachers use this program to allow children to obtain musical literacy through innovative and fun activities. This program will also give children an opportunity to express their feelings, investigate rhythm and explore other cultures.
• Sign Language - Teachers use this program developed by Time to Sign, Inc.® to introduce children to a different language by teaching them to communicate through various games, stories, songs and active play.
• Language Arts – This program builds a foundation for reading by focusing on the fundamentals of literacy, including oral language, phonological awareness, letter knowledge, and concepts in print.
• Nutrition - Teaches children to identify various foods and how to make healthy food choices.
• Fitness - Designed specially for preschool children with four curricular goals that address their physical fitness: Balance, Agility, Strength, and Endurance.
• Art History - Takes children on a journey through time and geography, from cave art to modern art.
• Manners - Fosters the acquisition of four essential skills: friendship, compassion, cooperation, and kindness all through The Goddard Guide to Getting Along™.
