Welcome to The Goddard School®, South Reno’s premiere preschool. We are Chelli and Ryan Motherway, on-site owners. Our School is located in beautiful South Reno; convenient to many residential and commercial areas. The Goddard School can make a positive difference in your child's life. Our warm, loving atmosphere features both part-time and full-time options. Our full-day program gives families the flexibility of extended hours, from 7:00am – 6:00pm. Our program is designed to enhance the emotional, social, intellectual and physical development of your child from six weeks to six years of age. We also offer a full-day, licensed kindergarten program that has a low student-to-teacher ratio. This allows for individualized attention and small groups which are important at this stage of your child’s academic development.
We are very proud of our dedicated and caring staff. We are fortunate to have exceptional teachers who believe in the Goddard philosophy. All of our classrooms are led by degreed teachers who develop lesson plans that are structured around The Goddard School’s age-appropriate Developmental Guidelines. These lesson plans include fun activities that engage the children in learning. We want to make sure their experience of learning is fun so they can carry that with them beyond their years at Goddard. Areas of growth and development are highlighted on our daily lesson plans, which our faculty brings to life in appropriate and attainable ways. Children are encouraged to progress at their own pace according to their individual needs and abilities.
Our state-of-the-art, custom-designed building has been planned to provide a safe, healthy and stimulating environment. Two separate playgrounds have been designed to challenge and delight your child at every age. We strive to make sure every family and child feels a sense of welcome and joy. We embrace families and staff of all gender, ages, ethnicity, nationality, religion and family arrangements and are inclusive of children with special needs.
