On a rainy day, set out a container to measure the rainfall.  Measure how much rain fell that day.  Continue to measure the rain each day and record for a few weeks.  Ask children to predict how much rain will fall.

Supply children with white paper and a blue stamp pad.  Have the children make fingerprint raindrops on the paper.

Rain Sticks

Seal off one end of a paper towel tube by taping tag board to the end.  Poke holes using a small nail in the sides and insert toothpicks into holes.  Seal the other end after adding dried peas and you'll have a rainstick!
