Melanie Hyatt -
Melanie is originally from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and has lived in the area for the last six years with her husband, Bill, and her three sons. She attended The University of South Carolina where she received her Bachelor's degree in Management and Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Marketing Education. Later, she took additional graduate courses at the College of Charleston to become certified to teach students with learning disabilities. Melanie has several years of experience teaching students at different levels (preschool, elementary, high school and college). She also owned and operated a very successful small business before bringing The Goddard School® located in Simpsonville, South Carolina, to our community. Melanie is excited to be the On-Site Owner of The Goddard School®. Please call or e-mail the School to schedule a tour with her.

Courtney Turner -
Courtney Turner attended Appalachian State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. After working for several years in preschools with children of all ages, Courtney took a position with the North Carolina Rated License Assessment Project, which allowed her to travel across the state and assess the quality of childcare centers using the Environment Rating Scales. In addition, she provided training sessions for teachers. After Courtney moved to South Carolina, she was thrilled to find a program that met her high standards in the community. We are proud to have Courtney as our Director of Education. Courtney is in charge of planning and organizing the School curriculum and all educational programs. She reviews each teacher's monthly lesson plans to make sure that they meet the individual needs of each student as well as their developmental levels. During a tour you may see her observing our classroom activities to make sure the teacher's lesson plans are being implemented correctly or see her assisting the teachers with their student evaluations in relation to their school progress, abilities and special (individual) needs. Courtney has worked for The Goddard School® located in Simpsonville, SC since 2006.

Kim Groves -
Kim Groves attended Western Carolina University where she received a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Psychology, with a focus in Child Psychology. Kim's previous experience includes teacher at a local preschool for five years, Director of a preschool program and Director of the Extended Day Program at Bell's Crossing Elementary in Greenville County. We are excited that Kim Groves has joined The Goddard School® as our Director of Operations. Some of Kim's responsibilities include supervising and management of faculty/classroom scheduling, planning and implementing our high health and safety programs for the School, managing health history records and physicians' reports for children, conducting staff meetings and in-service meetings for our faculty, arranging events sponsored by the School as a service to the community. Kim does a great job of maintaining an active system of parent-school communication to promote a strong relationship between the two and planning and implementing a program for teachers' professional growth. Kim joined our management team in 2007 when we expanded our facility.

Ms. Janice -
Ms. Janice has worked in childcare for over 24 years as a Teacher, Assistant Teacher and Director. She enjoys reading to the infants and assisting them with exciting sensory activities. Ms. Janice has worked for The Goddard School® located in Simpsonville, SC since 2006.

Ms. Annie -
Ms. Anna Maria (Annie) was born in Jugolstadt, Germany. In 1997, after marrying and having two children, Ms. Annie moved to the United States. She has worked in childcare since moving to the United States. Ms. Annie obtained her Early Childhood Development certificate. The infant students at The Goddard School® enjoy Ms. Annie's German musical puppet shows, sign language lessons and Jell-o® sensory activities. Ms. Annie has worked for The Goddard School located in Simpsonville, SC since 2006.

Ms. Kathy -
Ms. Kathy is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She received her degree in Medical Sciences at The Spencerian College. After working for a marketing department for a major corporation and a few interstate moves, Ms. Kathy and her husband settled in the area. Prior to working at The Goddard School®, Mrs. Kathy worked at a private school as a Teacher Assistant for 15 years. Ms. Kathy has worked for The Goddard School located in Simpsonville, SC since 2006.

Ms.Tina -
Ms. Tina was born and raised in England. After moving to the area she earned her Associate's degree from Greenville Tech in Early Childhood Education. She has worked with all age groups, but has a soft spot for two year olds. Ms. Tine has worked for The Goddard School® located in Simpsonville, SC since 2006.

Ms. Maria -
Ms. Maria C. was born in Greenwood, South Carolina, and later moved to the area. After graduating from high school with honors, she earned her Early Childhood credentials from Piedmont Technical College. Ms. Maria has several years of teaching experience with pre-toddler to preschool age children. Ms. Maria has worked with The Goddard School® located in Simpsonville, SC since 2007.

Ms. Bri -
Ms. Bri graduated from Francis Marion University in Florence, SC with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. She has experience teaching in the Florence Elementary School district, has been a peer mediator and has also worked with training teachers. Ms. Bri has worked for The Goddard School® located in Simpsonville, SC since 2007.

Ms. Anne -
Ms. Anne is originally from the Greenville area. She has taught infants up to Pre Kindergarten age children and has several years of teaching experience. Ms. Anne has worked for The Goddard School® located in Simpsonville, SC since 2006.

Ms. Kristin -
Ms. Kristin has six years of experience teaching infants to high school age children. Ms. Kristin previously coached softball and volleyball high school teams. She attended Winthrop University and USC Upstate and majored in Sociology with a minor in Spanish. Ms. Kristin has worked for The Goddard School® located in Simpsonville, SC since 2008.

Ms. Amanda -
Ms. Amanda S. graduated from Greenville Technical College with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been teaching for four years with infant to preschool age children. Ms. Amanda started working for The Goddard School® located in Simpsonville, SC in 2006.

Ms. Jill -
Ms. Jill graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education from Bluffton University in Ohio. She has been teaching young children for the past seven years. Ms. Jill joined the faculty at The Goddard School® in 2008 when the school expanded.

Ms. Melissa -
Ms. Melissa graduated with a degree in Education specializing in Child and Family Development and Pre-Kindergarten Education. Melissa has 15 years of experience teaching Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes. She has also directed several program services and community outreach programs specializing in preschool resources. Melissa is a member of the National Association of the Education of Young Children. Ms. Melissa joined the faculty at The Goddard School® located in Simpsonville in 2008 when the school expanded.

Ms. Crystal -
Ms. Crystal received her Child Development Associate in Early Childhood Education. She has taught children for over four years and also has experience in teacher training. Ms. Crustal joined the faculty at The Goddard School® located in Simpsonville in 2008 when the school expanded.

Ms. Keri -
Ms. Keri graduated from The University of NC at Wilmington with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has taught young children for three years. Ms. Keri joined the faculty at The Goddard School® located in Simpsonville in 2008 when the school expanded.

Ms. Mary -
Ms. Mary is currently enrolled in the TEACH program and will receive an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education soon. She has taught children for four years. Ms. Mary joined the faculty at The Goddard School located in Simpsonville in 2008 when the school expanded.

Ms. Kim E. -
Ms. Kim has five years experience of working with special needs and regular education students between the ages of 6 weeks to 7 years. Ms. Kim attended Clemson University were she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood. Ms. Kim joined the faculty at The Goddard School® located in Simpsonville in 2008.

Ms. Brittany - Ms. Brittany is originally from Easley, SC. She attended Greenville Tech where she received her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education.  Ms. Brittany joined our team during February of 2010.   

Ms. Anna Ms. Anna is originally from Travelers Rest, SC. She attended Bob Jones University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Anna has worked with children for over 12 years.  She started working at The Goddard School in 2010.

Ms. Chelsie Ms. Chelsie is from Fredericksburg, VA.  She previously attending Greenville Tech and is currently taking classes at Franklin University.  Ms. Chelsie had two years of teaching experience before she started working at The Goddard School  in 2010. 

Ms. Shay Ms. Shay is originally from Michigan. She attended Macomb Community College where she received her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education.  Ms. Shay has over 19 years of experience working with children and she started working at The Goddard School in August of 2010. 

Ms. Allison Ms. Allison moved to the Greenville area from Brentwood, TN.  She previously taught at The Goddard School in Franklin, TN.  Ms Allison earned her Bachelor's degree majoring in Dance Education and minoring in Early Childhood Education.  Ms. Allison has worked with children for over 10 years.   

Ms. Misty Ms. Misty is originally from Greenville, SC.  She previously worked at Bell's Crossing Elementary.  Before starting at The Goddard School in 2007 she had 4 years of teaching experience.  Ms. Misty received her Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from USC Upstate. 

Ms. Jenna Ms. Jenna is originally from Jacksonville, Arkansas where she received her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education.  Prior to working at The Goddard School she taught preschool and school age students for several years.  

Ms. Shawn Ms. Shawn is originally from Grover, Missouri.  She has her degree in Early Childhood Education from Missouri Baptist University.  Shawn has been teaching children for over 7 years.  Shawn previously worked at The Goddard School located in Chesterfield, Missouri.  Now, she teaches in our Infant classroom.  

Ms. Christine Ms. Christine graduated from USC Upstate and majored in Early Childhood Education. Before joining our program Ms. Christine taught at The Goddard School in Fort Mill, SC for several years.  

Ms. Theresa Ms. Theresa joined The Goddard School has her Bachelor's degree from Furman University.  She has experience teaching children infant - 5 years of age.  Ms. Theresa joined our faculty in 2011.  

Ms. Valerie Ms. Valerie is from Greenville and graduated from USC Upstate with a degree in Psychology.   She has experience working with special needs children and also volunteers as a mentor for children.  Ms. Valerie has worked with children of all ages.  She joined The Goddard School faculty in 2011.   

Ms. Lauren Ms. Lauren attended Greenville Tech and has experience working with young children in a school setting and as a nanny.  Ms. Lauren joined The Goddard School in 2011.    

Ms. Sara Ms. Sara is from Traveler's Rest.  She has experience teaching preschool children and also worked as a nanny.   Ms. Sara is a teacher's assistant at The Goddard School.
