SUMMER "CAMP" PROGRAMS
Flexible schedules and a great balance of athletic and intellectual activities
We will be doing two water fun days a week for children to beat the heat and have some quality time outside early in the morning, also special fitness classes inside to keep your child active all day.
PASSPORT AROUND THE WORLD
(Recommended for preschool-age children)
We have excellent summer options for children of preschool and elementary school ages. The younger children (1 to 4) will enjoy our ever popular summer program "Passport Around the World". Learning about a new country every week, ethnic food sampling, stories and music from all over the world, visitors from the countries we are learning about and much more. All these fun activities are on top of our regular academic program: Reading and Writing Readiness, Math; Science, Spanish, Fitness, Manners, etc. Diversity and anti-bias thinking is emphasized.
KINDERGARTEN BOOT CAMP
This program is great for children 5-7 years of age. It is an intense academic program to help your child to get ready for Kindergarten. It is also useful for Kindergarten and First grade graduates to keep them academically challenged and maintain the academic level they achieved.
SPANISH IMMERSION
Activities, games, songs, etc. are taught in Spanish to create a Spanish speaking environment. The camp is taught by a native Spanish speaker. The immersion method is great for vocabulary and grammar improvement; also it will help your child to improve comprehension, fluency and use of the Spanish language. This is a fun Spanish camp with lots of highly interactive activities including music, art, Latin Dance and a piñata party.
GYMNASTICS AND FITNESS
Keep your kids active and healthy during hot Arizona Summer! We have a fun gymnastics and fitness class which incorporates a lot of fun activities and skills: walking, running, marching, hopping around the circle to music, forward and backward tuck rolls, forward and backward straddle rolls, headstands, tables, bridges, jumps, kicks, forward rolls, drills leading up to cartwheels and round-offs, low beams balance exercises, recreational gymnastics games, rhythmic dance, parachute games, yoga and much more!
COOKING AND NUTRITION
Welcome to our Goddard Bistro! Help your child to learn lifelong healthy eating habits. Lessons on nutrition and eat smart recipes children will enjoy. Every day we will be cooking up delicious, healthy meals and snacks and promote the developing of healthy eating habits. This fun class encourages children to taste and eat more fruit and vegetables. We will be learning about wholesome ingredients, introducing new foods and tastes, will talk about shopping for good foods, good choices when eating out and about appropriate portion sizes. Also, our fun "snacktivities" teach children about food while improving their math, literacy, and science skills.
ART “CAMP”
Humans have always used the arts to share and make sense of their deepest joys and fears. While making art, young children develop control of large and small muscle groups, eye-hand coordination, and aesthetic sense and learn how to express their feelings and thoughts. Children will be learning basic art elements and principles - including line, color, shape, form, texture, pattern, balance and emphasis. We will also be learning about art history and cultural appreciation of art diversity. Small group art activities also help children practice important social skills like taking turns, sharing, and negotiating for materials. Children's artwork will be displayed in Goddard Art Gallery. Open-ended materials such as paint, crayons, markers, scissors, glue, clay, and assorted paper and other materials are provided for creative art activities.
TWO SEPARATE INFANT GROUPS
We have 2 Infant rooms. Infant 1 is for children 6 weeks to 6 months and Infant 2 is for children 7 months to 12-14 months. Both our Infant rooms can accommodate only 8 babies each. Same low ratio in both rooms. Different developmentally appropriate activities for both age groups.

QUALITY ASSURANCE
The healthy well being of the children in our care is the primary concern of The Goddard School® teachers, owners and corporation. Goddard has developed a premier program to safeguard compliance with the standards of Goddard Quality Assurance (QA). Goddard QA Representatives make unannounced semi-annual visits to each school to assess compliance with a full range of Health and Safety Policies and Procedures, as well as Curriculum and Program performance. Although most states have a licensing agency that oversees state requirements, Goddard Schools are additionally obligated to fulfill the Goddard QA Review. The Goddard QA Review and its exceptionally stringent controls are setting the standard for quality in the childcare industry.
