Faculty Bios

Round Rock I, TX

Ryan Rastelli - Mr. Ryan, as the children call him, is the on-site owner of The Goddard School located in Round Rock, Texas. He moved to Texas from his home state of Pennsylvania where he worked for Goddard Systems, the franchisor of the nationwide chain of Goddard Schools. During his weekly business travels to Austin, he saw a growing need in the area for a quality preschool and loved the idea of being able to provide the children and parents in this community with a loving and nurturing environment to grow and learn. Ryan holds a Bachelor's degree in Media from the Pennsylvania State University and has volunteered for many organizations including Habitat for Humanity where he assisted in creating homes for families in need. As the on-site owner, Ryan would like to extend an invitation to you and your family to visit him at his beautiful new school, introduce you to his eager faculty, including their outstanding Educational Directors, and tell you all about the Goddard approach to learning.

Miss Anita - Anita is the Educational Director of The Goddard School. She oversees the emotional, social and educational development of the children at our school. She holds three college degrees, including a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in Psychology, a Bachelor of Education degree in Social Studies with a minor in English, as well as a Master's degree in Cultures. Anita moved to Texas in 1997 from Nova Scotia when she became the Director for a YMCA preschool program. "It was very exciting to be invited to join The Goddard School as Educational Director because working with children and curriculum development is what I love best," adds Anita. Anita can be reached at our school any time if you ever have any questions regarding the educational or emotional development of your child.

Miss Annette - Annette is the Assistant Director of The Goddard School located in Round Rock. She is the proud mother of five grown children and the grandmother of two. "I have enjoyed working with children since I was young, and decided that I wanted to help make a difference in the lives of children," adds Annette. She holds a Child Development Associate certification and recently graduated with an Associate's degree in Business Management. She is a certified Texas Registered Trainer which gives her the opportunity to help our teachers maintain a high standard of professional development. "My years of experience as a director have taught me the importance of quality education for young children. Working with children at this early age is very important to me because it allows me to assist the future leaders of tomorrow learn and grow," adds Annette.

Miss Val - Val is the Lead and Master Teacher for the Pre-K classroom at The Goddard School located in Round Rock. She has three children whom she loves very much. Val became interested in becoming a teacher because of her own children. She was always volunteering in her children's classrooms by implementing art activities, reading books and going on field trips. She loved being involved in her children’s world of learning. As Val's children grew older, she stayed involved in their activities which helped them grow and learn even more. "Now that my children are continuing their education in college, I have decided to focus on educating young children in a school environment," adds Val. She currently holds an Associate's of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood Profession, a letter of Director Qualification through Human Services from Colorado, and has certificates from various training classes, conferences and workshops. Val enjoys teaching the Pre-K class at The Goddard School and loves watching the children grow everyday.

Miss Kristy - Miss Kristy is the Lead Teacher in our Infant (Little Shrimp)classroom. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from Concordia University. "I really love to read and hope to share this passion with the infants." She lives in Hutto with her Husband and two boys who keep her very busy! "I am so excited to be in the place that I am today because children are very important to me, and The Goddard School philosophy reflects everything I believe in."

Miss Sara - Miss Sara is a native Texan and has lived in Austin all of her life! "I truly believe this is the greatest place to live." Miss Sara graduated from ACC with an Associate’s degree in a foreign language and is currently a junior at Texas State University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Education. "I love creative writing and poetry and my favorite poet is Walt Whitman." As a teacher at The Goddard School, she hopes to share her passion for learning and creativity with all the children. "I look forward to helping them explore the world around them and get them excited about learning." She feels very strongly that her previous childcare experience and education will be the right combination to assure the best learning environment for the children in her care.

Miss Julia - Julia is the Lead Teacher for the First Steps classroom at The Goddard School and has been teaching for over ten years. She holds an Associate's degree in Applied Science, Child Development and is certified for School Ready through the Texas Early Education Mentor Schools program given through Victoria Independent School District, Victoria College and The University of Texas. She and her husband have two beautiful children. "I am excited to be teaching at The Goddard School and I'm looking forward to meeting all of the new families that are joining our new school," adds Julia.

Miss Paula C. - Paula is the Lead Teacher for our After-School classroom. She is currently working with the Pflugerville School District as a teacher’s assistant and has been working there for eight years. "I really enjoy working with children and I saw great opportunity when asked to come work at The Goddard School," adds Paula.

Miss Megan - Megan is the Lead Teacher for the two-year-old Toddler classroom. She holds a Bachelor's degree in General Studies with a minor in Family, Child and Elementary Education from Ball State University. "I have worked with children for the past seven years and I truly enjoy what I do. I am so excited to be working with children and very happy to be a part of Goddard," adds Megan.
