To think that I saw it on Holcomb Bridge Road
It's at The Goddard School, I'm told.
Learning Through Play, the FLEX™ curriculum way.
Language arts has just begun.
Identifying words and sounds is really fun.
Print surrounds us everywhere, we know it as we read C-H-A-I-R.
Ola, Ole, Spanish, Hooray!
Counting, singing we're aware, of linguistic sounds all around.
We get in focus, on our task,
As yoga poses we complete, mountain top an easy feat.
Parachute play we can do it all day, bat a ball and kick it, too.
Oh, the many things we'll do!
Indoors, outdoors doesn't matter, as we talk, as we chatter.
Getting along, showing our manners,
Washing hands, sharing a toy, ask any Goddard girl or boy.
We can do it, yes we can!
Sensory stimulation, cognition, recognition one to one,
The shape of things to come.
Art History is no mystery, as we dabble and create.
A picture worth the framing, with Goddard children there's no taming.
Motor skills are within reach, it starts with crawling, then we rise
To the top of the ladder, short or tall, it doesn't matter.
Musically we're in tune, we've got the beat, we move our feet.
In tune to rhythm and melody, expressive dance,
In double time moving scarves is so sublime.
Then.. at self help, we're the masters.
We've headed off any disaster.
Try it, try it and you'll see
What a difference, GODDARD CAN BE!
