Ross Flax - - Owner
Ross is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but he has lived in the greater Baltimore/Washington corridor for 21 years. Ross has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Temple University and has been the proud owner of The Goddard School located in Rockville for 13 years. He has been married to Sandra for 23 years and has two children; a daughter who is 15 and a son who is 12. Ross prides himself on being responsive to the needs of families and children. He loves the responsibility of educating young children. Ross is a skilled musician and has been playing drums since the age of eight. He is also an advanced amateur photographer and hopes to (later in life) spend more time outdoors shooting landscapes and animals. Stop by his office to see some of his images!
Linda W. - Academic Director - Linda has earned Bachelor of Science and Master's degrees in Early Childhood Education from Lesley University. Linda has experience working with preschool and kindergarten-age children. She loves the curiosity and love of learning the children attending The Goddard School located in Rockville exhibit.
Tracey S. - Office Manager - Tracey has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Bowie State University. She grew up and raised her son in Gaithersburg. Tracey loves the intuitive minds and never-ending smiles displayed by the children attending The Goddard School located in Rockville.
Stephanie M.-Assistant Manager - Stephanie has a 90-Hour Early Childhood Certification and an Associates of Arts in Early Childhood Education. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Stephanie has eight years of teaching experience with toddlers and preschoolers. She loves the uniqueness of each child at The Goddard School.
Infant Team -
Ms. Joyce has a 90-hour Early Childhood Certification and a 45-hour Infant and Toddler Development Curriculum Certificate. She has seven years of teaching experience with infants. Ms. Joyce is originally from India and speaks English, Telugu and Hindi.
Ms. Paz has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Education. She taught for twenty-three years in the public schools in Manila, Philippines, and has been teaching preschool in Maryland for sixteen years. Originally from the Philippines, she speaks both English and Filipino.
Ms. Evelyn has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a CDA in Early Childhood Education. She has twenty-two years of teaching experience and is also an active volunteer for The Literacy Council of Montgomery County. Ms. Evelyn is originally from India and speaks English, Telugu and Hindi.
Ms. Patricia has a 45-hour certification and 90-hour Early Childhood Certification. She has been teaching infants and toddlers for eight years. Ms. Patricia is originally from Peru and speaks both English and Spanish.
Ms. Fauzia has a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology, a Master’s degree in Zoology, a Bachelor’s degree in Education, and a 90-Hour Certification in Early Childhood Education. She taught high school for fourteen years and has been teaching infants, toddlers and preschoolers for twelve years. She is originally from Bangladesh and speaks both English and Bengali.
Ms. Romi has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well as a Master's degree in Psychology. She also has completed the 45-hour Infant and Toddler Development Curriculum Course. Ms. Romi has been teaching for eighteen years. She is originally from India and speaks both English and Hindi.
Ms. Brenda has a 90-hour Early Childhood Certification and 45 hour Infant and Toddler Certification. She also is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Brenda has been teaching for six years. She comes from a Jamaican background.
Ms. Mehrnaz has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work as well as a 90-hour Early Childhood Certification. She has twenty-six years of experience working with infants, toddlers and preschool age children. Originally from Iran, Ms. Mehrnaz speaks both English and Farsi.
Ms. Layla has an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Montgomery College. This is her first year of teaching. Ms. Layla comes from a Peruvian background. She speaks English, Spanish and a little Italian.
Toddler Team -
Ms. Elsa has a 90-hour Early Childhood Certification and a 45-hour Infant and Toddler Development Curriculum Certificate. She has ten years of teaching experience with infants and toddlers. Elsa is originally from Albania. She speaks English, Albanian and some Italian.
Ms. Ashley has a 90-hour Early Childhood Certifications and pursuing a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in dance and choreography. She has been teaching toddlers for two years, but also volunteers at her church camp and Sunday school. Ms. Ashley speaks English and some Spanish.
Ms. Jen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Education Management. She also has her 90-hour Early Childhood Certification. Ms. Jen has eleven years experience as a Public Elementary School teacher in the Philippines and three years experience teaching toddlers and preschoolers. Ms. Jen grew up in the Philippines and is fluent in both English and Filipino.
Ms. Yvette has a degree in Elementary Education. She has been teaching toddlers and preschoolers for three years and has eight years total teaching experience. Ms. Yvette is originally from Jamaica. She speaks English and a bit of Patois, which is a dialect of English, Spanish and African languages.
Ms. Linda has a 90 Hour Early Childhood Education Certificate and is working towards an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has taught preschool for a total of ten years with two years teaching special needs preschoolers. Ms. Linda also has four years of teaching experience with infants and toddlers.

Ms. Seantae has her 90-hour Early Childhood certification and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She has been teaching preschool for three years and has a total of five years teaching experience. She speaks English and some French.
Ms. Deirdre has a 90-hour Early Childhood Certification. She has eight years of teaching experience with toddlers and preschoolers. Originally from St. Louis, Ms. Deirdre relocated to Maryland a year ago. She speaks both English and French.
Ms. Kaitlin has a 90-hour Early Childhood Certification as well as a bachelor's degree in elementary education from California University in Pennsylvania. Originally from Pennsylvania, she moved to Maryland at a young age. Ms. Kaitlin has two years of experience teaching preschool.
Ms. Jennifer has a Bachelor of Science in birth through kindergarten Education from Western Carolina University in North Carolina. Originally from Virginia, she moved to Maryland at a young age. Ms. Jennifer has five years of teaching experience.
Ms. Saba has an associate's degree in child development. She has nine years of teaching experience with preschool-age children. Ms. Saba is originally from Ethiopia and speaks both English and Amharic.
Ms. Evelia has a degree in elementary education and early childhood education from her university in Honduras. She also has a 90-hour Early Childhood Certification. Ms. Evelia has been working with children for seventeen years with nine years of preschool teaching experience. Originally from Honduras, Ms. Evelia speaks both Spanish and English.

Ms. Lulu has an associate’s degree in early childhood education and an associate’s degree in general studies. She is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Ms. Lulu has twenty-one years of teaching experience. She is originally from the island of St. Lucia.
Ms. Samantha has a 45-Hour Certification and 90-Hour Certification in early childhood education. She is working towards completing an associate’s degree in education. Samantha has twenty years of teaching experience. She is originally from St. Lucia.
Ms. Beverly has a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and has taken courses towards a master's degree in elementary education. She has been teaching preschool for thirteen years and has a total of thirty-two years of teaching experience. Ms. Beverly is originally from Jamaica and speaks both English and a Caribbean dialect.
Ms. Janet has a Bachelor of Science in health care management, an associate's degree in Applied Science and a 90-Hour Certification in Early Childhood Education. She has been teaching preschool for six years and has a total of ten years' teaching experience.
Ms. Mica has a 90-hour Early Childhood Certification. She has six years of teaching experience. Ms. Mica comes from a Puerto Rican, Dominican and African American background and speaks both Spanish and English.
Kindergarten Team - Ms. Kim has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. She has experience teaching children from ages six weeks to eleven years old with a total of twelve years' teaching experience. Ms. Kim also has experience working as a director in a preschool setting.
Ms. Alison has a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts as well as a 90-hour Early Childhood Certification. She has twelve years of experience working with children. She comes from a British, German and Irish background and speaks both English and French.

Ms. LaTosha has a 90-hour Early Childhood Certification. She has fourteen years of teaching experience with infant, toddler and preschool age children. LaTosha comes from an African-American, Indian and French background.
Ms. Sylvia came to the U.S. via Johns Hopkins medical doctor exchange program where she earned a Pediatric Degree. She has two years of teaching experience. She was born and raised in China and speaks both English and Chinese.
Ms. Nancy has a 90-hour Early Childhood Certification and is currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. This is her second year working with preschool children. Ms. Nancy comes from a Guatemalan background and speaks both English and Spanish.
Ms. Charlene has a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and a 90-hour Early Childhood Certification. She has five years of teaching experience. Ms. Charlene speaks English and conversational Spanish.
Ms. Megan has a 90-hour Early Childhood Certification. This is her second year working with toddler and preschool age children. Ms. Megan speaks English and Spanish.

Although born in the United States, she comes from an El Salvadorian background. Ms. Alma speaks both Spanish and English.
Ms. Rosalina has a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts in Education. She has been teaching for thirty-seven years. Ms. Rosalina is originally from the Philippines. She speaks English, Tagalog, Ilocano and some Spanish.

Ms. Stephanie is our music teacher. She has a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology with a minor in Early Childhood Music Education. This is her fifth year teaching music at our School. She has a total of twenty-three years experience teaching preschool and music.
Ms. May is our Chinese teacher. This is her second year teaching Mandarin at our School. She attended National Taiwan Normal University. Ms. May has received Overseas Cultural and Traditional Arts Teacher Training and WMACS Chinese Teacher Professional Training. She has taught preschool children for five years with a total of fifteen years teaching experience. Originally from China, she speaks both Chinese and English.
Ms. Maria is our Fine Arts teacher. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts. Ms. Maria has seven years teaching experience. This is her second year teaching Fine Arts at our school. Originally from Columbia, she speaks Spanish and English.
Ms. Gabby is our Spanish teacher. She has a Master’s in International Relations. Ms. Gabby has been a Spanish and Portuguese instructor for seventeen years. This is her second year as our Spanish teacher. She is originally from Columbia and speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.
