We welcome you to visit our beautiful new School and learn about our wonderful programs! We are enrolling and would love to have your child join the Goddard family.
We are Donna and Josh Garrison, on-site owners of The Goddard School located at 10550 Little Brier Creek Lane, just off of Brier Creek Parkway. As parents of three small children, we understand how difficult it can be to find a warm, safe and loving environment to bring your children, while providing them with a fun and educational place to learn. We have experienced and researched many preschool programs and have found Goddard to be exceptional at fostering learning through play and gearing activities toward each child’s individual needs. All of our children have or currently attend Goddard!
The Goddard School is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. year round, offering a variety of programs convenient for parents who want the proven advantages of a high quality preschool education for their children. Our School provides developmentally appropriate programs for children six weeks to six years of age with activities to meet each child’s individual needs and flexibility to accommodate each family's busy schedule. We nurture children in a loving and safe environment and provide experiences that will enhance their development and growth.
The curriculum at our School includes cognitive skills, math, science, social science, motor skills, computer skills, creative art and self-help skills. Our School's faculty has teachers with degrees in Early Childhood Development and who provide children with carefully planned educational and developmental programs that meet the needs of the "whole" child.
We also offer various extracurricular resources in our daily curriculum from our Infant through Pre-K programs. The extracurricular resources are introduced throughout your child's day.
Manners: The Goddard Guide to Getting Along™ program fosters acquisition of friendship, compassion, cooperation, and Kindness. Activities provide opportunities for skill building beginning at 18 months of age.
Spanish: This program by Trampoline™ offers children the opportunity to learn new words in Spanish during their class curriculum every day.
Sign Language: American Sign Language is offered to infants and toddlers as a manual form of communication through the use of songs, games, stories and play.
Fitness Program: Goddard's B.A.S.E. for Fitness focuses on B=Balance, A=Agility, S=Strength and E=Endurance. This program will work on the children's self-esteem, gross motor skills and get them moving with all kinds of fun activities and equipment, from ages three to five.
Yoga: From infants to toddlers, young learners gain knowledge in body awareness, balance and flexibility.
Music Appreciation: The Music Preludes® program provides children with experiences in which they can achieve musical literacy through fun activities and participation, available for all ages.
KidScientific: This program introduces children to the natural wonders of science. The program guides children through an age-appropriate scientific method in areas including life science, earth science and physical science. Kidscientific meets the National Science Education Standards.
Handwriting Without Tears: This program uses educationally sound instructional methods to teach handwriting to children. The program uses music, movement, building, coloring and multi-sensory activities.
American Reading Company: This early literacy program provides children the foundation for reading success. It provides children with interesting and engaging books, skill development activities and reading opportunities.
Areas of growth and development are highlighted on our daily lesson plans, which our faculty brings to life in appropriate and attainable ways. Children are encouraged to progress at their own pace according to their individual needs and abilities.
