Helen Dunn, Onsite Owner - Helen is very excited to be bringing The Goddard School® to Pflugerville and to be part of the Pflugerville community. As a parent and a grandparent, she recognizes the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment as well as developing positive self-esteem, confidence, and love of learning. She is a member of the Greater Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce and the Hill Country Optimist Club. She enjoys spending time with her family camping, traveling, and relaxing at home. Helen’s career has spanned from accounting, administration, client services, and teaching three-year-olds. She expects our faculty to provide the best in quality early childhood education and care, as she expected for her children. Helen is very excited and proud to be a part of Goddard, and she is committed to providing the highest quality preschool experience for the children of Pflugerville. She welcomes all families to visit our wonderful school, meet our Director, and introduce our incredible faculty.
Andrea Holland, Educational Director - Andrea started her career with The Goddard School in June 2010 as the Education Director. Andrea has worked with children for over ten years in various capacities as a teacher with Kindergartners through third grade in the public schools and she has most recently worked as the Director of a large preschool. Andrea has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and continues to be an active member in the field through memberships in National Association of Childcare Professionals (NACCP), National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Texas Licensed Child Care Association (TLCCA). Andrea and her husband are the proud parents of twin boys. She looks forward to being a part of the Goddard family and helping provide a nurturing and educational experience for every child.
Ms. Sara, Program Specialist - Sara joins the faculty of The Goddard School located in Pflugerville with a wealth of knowledge and experience in Early Childhood Education. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from North Texas State University specializing in Early Childhood. Sara has worked as a Program Specialist and has years of teaching experience. She believes that children are like sponges wanting to learn and soaking up the love and care that she gives to them. Sara is also our Program Specialist. She will supervise our overall Flex program curriculum throughout our school.
Ms. Jennifer, Whimsical Whales (K) - Jennifer and her husband have two daughters. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-4 and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Jennifer also has EC-12 Special Education teaching certification. Most of Jennifer’s experience is in Kindergarten through 4th grade. Goddard gives Jennifer the opportunity to spend more quality time with the children she teaches.
Ms. Crystal, Whimsical Whales (Kindergarten) - Ms. Crystal is a current student with Texas Tech University through the distance learning program. She has three minors in English, History and Psychology and is pursuing a teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Crystal has worked as a teacher in a Mom’s Day Out program in Waco, Texas, prior to moving to Austin. She has worked with children from infants through four years of age. Ms. Crystal has two children of her own. She believes children should be with an individual that cares for them as much as their parents. When children are safe and happy, they will learn best. She believes Goddard provides such an environment where children can excel in many areas. Ms. Crystal is happy to be a part of the Goddard program.
Miss Aniela, Outstanding Orcas (Pre-K) - Aniela has an Associate's degree in Social Work, and she is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Aniela has been working with children for many years, babysat all of her neighbors children and gave private tennis lessons as well. Aniela also has experience working with children who needed a refuge to talk about things going on in their lives. She has spent her spare time volunteering at the Children’s Orphanage, and from that experience, she knew that working with children was her calling. She enjoys being a teacher, and looks forward to changing and impacting the lives of her students. As a teacher, Aniela can add something to the growth and happiness of a child.
Ms. Maricel, Outstanding Orcas (Pre-K) - Maricel comes to Goddard because of her love of children. She enjoys working, learning and exploring with children. Maricel is a devoted and loving teacher but she also implements structure and guidance with her students. She brings to us extensive work experience as a classroom teacher for preschool and elementary levels. Maricel began working with children in 1999 as a classroom teacher, advisor, remedial teacher, phonics teacher and tutor. Maricel enjoys her free time with her husband Andre and her baby girl Natalie.
Ms. Jennifer, Radiant Rays (Preschool II) Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. Jennifer also has an Alternate Teaching Certification in General EC-4, General 4-8 and Special Education EC-12. Jennifer‘s experience varies from six weeks to pre-k and has experience as a substitute teacher. Jennifer came to Goddard because of the reputation and professionalism, as well as the focus on children’s development.
Miss Eboni, Radiant Rays (Preschool II) Eboni comes to Goddard with over three years experience working with children in early childhood. Eboni chose Goddard because of her love of children and passion for helping them learn the basics and to build self-esteem. Eboni is currently pursuing her CDA.
Ms. Melanie, Marvelous Manatees (Preschool) Melanie currently is working on her Bachelor’s degree. Melanie’s work experience ranges from eight weeks to nineteen years old in a preschool and at home. Melanie comes to Goddard so that she can continue the building blocks of a good education for the children in our program.
Ms. Kathy, Dazzling Dolphins (Get Set) - Kathy has a Child Development Associate's degree which she earned through the Air Force CDC and has been working with children for over twenty-five years. Kathy loves working with the Toddlers. Ms. Kathy’s goal for the children of our school is to foster positive self-esteem, encourage them to learn through play and interactions with their peers and teachers. Kathy has had the great fortune to travel Europe and has lived from coast to coast in the US through the Air Force.
Ms Joy, Dazzling Dolphins (Get Set) Joy has her Child Development Associates from Austin Community College. Joy has over six years experience working with children and was a foster mom for five years. Joy came to Goddard on a recommendation through her school because of our appreciation of education. Joy feels that children are our future and if she can be a small part of that process, she will be a better person for it.
Miss Shannon, Terrific Turtles (Toddlers) - Shannon is a native Texan and has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and is also certified as a teacher in early childhood to fourth grade. Shannon has great experience working with children and also loves to volunteer her time teaching children about science and the world around us. Shannon believes that children are the key to our future and she loves interacting and teaching children to learn and grow in a safe environment.
Ms. Rebecca, Stunning Sea Otters, (Young Toddlers) Rebecca has her Child Development Associates from Austin Community College. Rebecca brings many years working experience with children from infants to pre-k. Rebecca enjoys teaching children new and exciting things. Rebecca chose Goddard because of the structure and to share her knowledge with others.
Miss Maria, Stunning Sea Otters (Young Toddlers) Maria has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature from the University of Texas at Austin. Maria has worked with younger children for over four years. Maria comes to Goddard where she can be successful with teaching children to help them reach their potential. Maria feels that it is a privilege to watch children develop their own personalities.
Miss Kim, Playful Penguins (First Steps)
Kim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Youth and Community Studies and a minor in Psychology from University of Texas at Austin. Kim has worked with children since 2002 and also has experience as an assistant director. Kim comes to Goddard to share her love of children. Miss Kim loves how the littlest things can excite children. As Kim states, “children are just a big tub of love”.
Ms. Becky, Playful Penguins (First Steps) - Rebecca “Becky” has over eighteen years experience working with children from infants to school-age as well as teaching Sunday school. Becky is currently pursuing a Child Development Associate's degree. Becky came to Goddard because of a current associate at our school. Becky enjoys watching each child grow and learn. Becky is a native Texan from Austin and has a daughter in college and a young son at home. Becky loves to stay active and fit.
Ms. Yvette, Smile Snow Seals (Infant) - Yvette has a CDA and over eight years of experience working with infants to school-age children. Yvette loves to work with children to help them learn the skills that they need to achieve. Yvette finds it rewarding to see the smiles on the children’s faces as well as their parent’s when they achieve different milestones.
Ms. AJ, Smiling Snow Seals (Infant) - Ellerine, aka AJ, has a Bachelor's degree in General Education from Cuba and is bilingual in Spanish and English. AJ comes to our program with many years of experience teaching and working with children. AJ enjoys music and the outdoors with her husband and two wonderful boys. AJ comes to The Goddard School to share her knowledge, love and passion for children.
Ms. Pat, Resource - Ms. Pat comes to our school as a teacher and as kitchen support. Ms. Pat has attended UT where she received management training and has completed 48 hours in course work through ACC. Ms. Pat has a wealth of experience working with children in Boy Scouts, Campfire Girls, Sunday School and babysitting. Ms. Pat came to Goddard looking for a place that she could share her love of little children. Ms. Pat enjoys working at The Goddard School®.
