Betsy & Jack A. - We are the Owners of The Goddard Schools located in Olathe and Overland Park. We have two daughters. Jane is a local realtor and Alexandra is a student. Betsy has a Master’s degree from University of Missouri Kansas City in Special Education with an emphasis in learning disabilities. Jack has a degree from University of South Carolina with many years of business experience. We opened The Goddard School located in Overland Park in May of 1999 and opened the Olathe location in August of 2000. Prior to being at Goddard Betsy was a learning specialist working with children Kindergarten through middle school. Betsy discovered her interest and passion for Early Childhood by volunteering in her daughters preschool classrooms. Christie H. - Ms. Christie H. is the Co-Director of The Goddard School located in Olathe. She graduated from Park University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has worked in education with children from birth to three years of age for the last nine years. She joined the teaching team at The Goddard School in September of 2008. She worked as a lead teacher for 2 years and then became the Co-Director. Ms. Christie loves watching children learn and experience new things and looks forward to meeting and working with you and your child.
Lynsey S. - Ms. Lynsey S. is the Co-Director of The Goddard School located in Olathe. She earned a Family and Community degree from Salisbury College in England. Ms Lynsey has traveled around the world working with children as a nanny. She joined The Goddard School located in Olathe in April of 2002. Ms. Lynsey S. is working on an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Johnson County Community College. She enjoys watching the children during the day and seeing the excitement on their faces. She look forward to welcoming you to The Goddard School located in Olathe.
Ellen S. - Ms Ellen is the Lead Teacher in the Fox room (Pre-Kindergarten and the Assistant Director). She graduated from Keystone College with an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She also has a teaching certificate along with a director's license for the state of Kansas. Ms Ellen has been working in the childcare industry for over twelve years. Children are an important part of her life and she gets her energy from them. Ms Ellen is pleased to be a part of The Goddard School family and looks forward to meeting you and your children.
Kendal M. - Ms Kendal is the Lead Teacher in the Prairie (Pre-Kindergarten) classroom. She earned her earned her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kansas State University. She has over ten years experience working with children. Ms Kendal joined The Goddard School located in Olathe in June of 2011. She loves working with children because she enjoys having a part in their learning. Ms Kendal is looking forward to meeting you and your family.
Juli F. - Ms Juli is the Lead Teacher in the Hawk (Pre-Kindergarten) classroom. She earned her CDA from Johnson County Community College. She has taught preschool for over nine years. Ms Juli has experience in a variety of preschools from Montessori, modified Montessori, Vygotsky’s transitions to Piaget’s teaching styles. She has worked at The Goddard School® since January 2005. Ms Juli looks forward to working with your children at The Goddard School® and helping them grow and learn.
Megan S. - Ms. Megan S. is the Assistant teacher in the Hawk (Preschool) classroom. She is currently working on her CDA from Johnson County Community College. She joined the Goddard School located in Olathe in July of 2010. Ms. Megan enjoys working with children because they put a smile on her face and she is looking forward to working with you and your child.
Rachel F. - Ms Rachel is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Meadowlarks (Toddlers) classroom. She has experience working as a nanny and has worked in an Early Childhood setting for over 15 years. She has been with The Goddard School® since November 2006. Ms Rachel loves working with children and enjoys watching them make new discoveries. Adrienne W. - Ms. Adrienne W. is the Co-Lead teacher in the Meadowlark (two-year-olds) classroom. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Mid America Nazarene. She joined The Goddard School located in Olathe in March of 2011. Prior to working at The Goddard School she taught swimming lessons to people of all ages. She loves working with children because of all the wonderful things they say and looks forward to meeting you and your child.
Kari U. - Ms. Kari is the Co-Lead Teacher in the Sunflower (three-year-olds) classroom. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Life from the University of Kansas. She joined The Goddard School located in Olathe in April 2011. Ms. Kari enjoys working with children because she loves to help them learn and discover. She also enjoys watching them develop their own unique personalities. Ms. Kari is looking forward to working with you and your child.
Mallory M.- Ms Mallory is the assistant teacher in the Sunflower (three year old) classroom. She joined The Goddard School in February of 2011. She has over two years experience working in an early childhood setting prior to joining The Goddard School. Ms. Mallory loves working with children because they make her smile. She looks forward to meeting you and your child.
Rita S. - Ms. Rita S. is the afternoon teacher in the Fox (Pre-K) classroom. She has three grown children and two sets of twin grandchildren. Ms. Rita joined The Goddard School in April of 2009. She loves every minute that she spends with the children. She helps to creates wonderful memories each day at Goddard. Ms. Rita is very excited to meet and work with you and your child.
Jessie H. Ms. Jessie H. is the Assistant Teacher in the Fox (Pre-Kindergarten) classroom. She has been teaching at The Goddard School since March of 2010. She loves working with children and helping to prepare them for school and life. Prior to joining The Goddard School, she was a nanny for families. She is excited to meet you and learn about your child's needs.
Jessica S.- Ms. Jessica S. is the lead teacher in the Cottontails (Infant) classroom. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Central Missouri State University as well as six years experience working with children of all ages. Ms Jessica joined the Goddard School of Olathe in July of 2011.
Kendra K.- Ms Kendra is the Assistant Teacher in the Cottontails (Infant) classroom. She has worked at The Goddard School since November of 2010. Prior to joining The Goddard School she was a nanny for four years. Ms Kendra enjoys working with children because of their curiosity and they make her happy. Ms Jenny E.- Ms Jenny is the Lead Teacher in the Raccoon (one year old) classroom. Ms Jenny earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University. She ran her own center for seven years while living in Texas. She joined The Goddard School located in Olathe in August of 2011. Ms Jenny enjoys working with children because they bring her joy and happiness every day. She looks forward to meeting you and your child.
