Miss Courtney has given our daughter confidence, which is tempered with discipline and mixed with a good dose of fun! We would also like to recognize Miss Roseanne for being so amazing! Placing our son in Miss Roseanne's class was our first experience with an infant daycare situation. Miss Roseanne is a caring professional that made the transition for us very easy. While at work, we never had to worry about his well being. The level of comfort she gave us was indescribable...and it's very rare to find an individual that can instill that in parents. Additionally, we would like to thank Miss Trish. She 'had us at hello' from that first phone call and she has been there every step of the way since then. She has incredible instincts and a true passion for caring for children. Miss Trish is invaluable to The Goddard School."

"My husband and I have been Goddard parents for over five years and we can't say enough about the level of care and education the school provides. After researching and touring numerous schools, we decided that Goddard was the only school that could meet our educational and structural needs for our older son. Thanks to the teachers and the curriculum at Goddard our son has excelled in the public school setting. Our younger son in now in the Kindergarten class. Needless to say, there's never been a doubt in our minds that we've made the right choice about where to send our children for their educational and emotional needs!
The Goddard School located in Newtown is a warm, nurturing and safe environment where having high standards in educational development is of the utmost importance! There isn't a day that goes by where my son isn't excited to go to school to be with his friends and teachers. Being that I can't be home with him, it warms my heart that I can leave him at his "second home" knowing he will be cared for, loved and watched after the way I would if I didn't have to work. "If you are thinking of enrolling your child, your worries are over. The Goddard School located in Newtown is a wonderful nurturing learning environment for early childhood.
My son started first grade last year as an early admission due to his learning and development provided by Goddard. He is progressing well due to the foundation he received. My daughter is 2 years old and developing well. Both my children started in the infant room and my wife and I never once worried that they weren't in good hands, we knew they were. Goddard to us is our extended family. From day one we believed that Goddard was more than just a daycare and that belief has come true.
The staff is wonderful and it shows as they watch the children move from class to class. Each staff member takes pride working with their children and sheds a tear as they move on for they have played a part of that child's learning foundation. The staff is dedicated, caring and provides direction to foster learning to meet the needs of each child. "I am blessed to have two daughters attend The Goddard School. One is three and the other is a year old. Both my girls have been at The Goddard School since the Infant room and were cared for by the loving staff. My three year old can write her name, use sign language, count to 80, knows the alphabet and can speak some Spanish. She has fostered a great relationship with other children of all ages and ethnic backgrounds while attending The Goddard School.
My one year old knows sign language, body parts and has been walking since she was 10 months old. She continues to surprise us everyday with new words and faces.
My wife and I feel safe every morning we drop off our children at The Goddard School. We know that in today's age any advantage we can give our children to succeed to benefit them in the future, we must provide. Goddard has provided a balance between education, physical education and ability for them still to be children and play. Perhaps these may be just words, but each night when my daughter goes to bed she puts on her stars nightlight and every teacher she has had at Goddard has a star on the ceiling. This is the impact the teachers have made on my child.
I recommend The Goddard School to future families that are looking for a Preschool that they can be proud to send their children to. My wife and I are proud of our children's success and growth."

"My daughter is almost five months old and has attended The Goddard School since she was 12 weeks. I am a nursing mother who works very close to Goddard, so I spend about an hour a day nursing in the crib room. I am privy to a lot of the happenings because I am there much more that the typical drop-off/pick-up.
That being said, I am so happy that we chose Goddard for our daughter. They have been so accommodating with my requests for nursing, they keep me informed about what my daughter is doing (through the "reports" that are issued every day and verbal discussions), and I feel that she is progressing in her development with the lessons they teach. (Yesterday, I noticed that she was petting our cat the same way they do tactile activities at school, and I have been able to adapt some of their other age-appropriate activities at home.) They allow her to sleep and eat on demand, and the way they track it on their reports is very helpful when I go to the doctor's office.
Perhaps most importantly, I feel that she is in a safe and nurturing environment. I see how the other babies are interacting, and playing nicely and are motivated by the babies who have reached the next milestone (e.g., crawling, etc.). My daughter will be able to play with them when she is crawling, so right now, they keep her separate so the other babies don't crawl all over her. She spends time in the musical gym, bouncy seat, jumper, and exersaucer.
Also, I always think about safety in an emergency setting and I was glad to know that they do fire drills once a month, so they are well prepared if they need to evacuate the school for any reason."

"Your children are the most important people in your life and the most precious. It is very hard for parents to entrust their children to anyone, however, I have found comfort in leaving my children in the care of The Goddard School located in Newtown. When I must be at work, it is reassuring that my children are in the best place. The security of the school and clean environment supersedes surrounding preschools. My daughter has now attended Goddard for the past three years and my son for the past sixteen months and they are very happy.
The teachers and staff at The Goddard School are outstanding. They make my children feel at home when they are away from home. Each morning we are welcomed into the class with a smiling face and hug. In addition to their nurturing hearts, the teachers of Goddard continue to educate my children in all areas of learning. The positive environment and instruction has benefited my family and we are happy to call The Goddard School located in Newtown our home."

"I have been bringing my son to The Goddard School located in Newtown for over a year. He has learned many new skills from attending this school. He knows sign language, how to properly hold utensils and many more self-help skills. In addition, his vocabulary retention has tremendously increased and his comprehension level surpasses what I thought he would know at the young age of two. "Both of our daughters attend The Goddard School located in Newtown. We started sending our oldest daughter when she was three months old. It is a model preschool in every way. The staff is outstanding. They take a vested interest in the children. The staff also provides structured lessons and curriculum so that it is not a "play and stay" type of place. Both of our daughters have excelled in their social and developmental skills due to The Goddard School program. Both my wife and I have emergency services backgrounds and we are satisfied with the level of security and emergency preparedness that the school provides. "Dear Wendy,
My daughter is in Miss. Kristine's class. I know how difficult it can be to get an accurate assessment of your employees performance, so I thought you might like some insight on the type of teacher you have in Ms. Kristine.
When our daughter started at Goddard just about a year ago as a 'new kid' in school, our daughter found immediate comfort in Ms. Kristine and my wife and I were so happy with the way Kristine reciprocated the bond. After the summer was over, our daughter went to Miss Ginny's class where she was very happy and learned so much with Miss Ginny and Miss Jenn. They were absolutely wonderful with our daughter and she still feels very close to both of them.
Our daughter is now in Miss Kristine's class again and Miss Kristine has done a great job to continue fostering what Miss Ginny and Miss Jenn initiated. All in all, I want to make you aware of the fact that over the last year, we have had an absolutely wonderful experience with every teacher at Goddard. Natalie, Ginny, Jenn, Kelly, Joey and everyone else have all been exceptional representatives of Goddard's dedication to excellent learning and childcare.
